Hell

Calix’s P.O.V.

“YOU MONSTER!! HOW DARE YOU BRING ME HERE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!

An ear-piercing scream echoed followed by the loud crashing of things. It belonged to none other than my future wife who had currently lost her mind.

“THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU-OWW”

I winced in pain as she threw a flower pot at me which I smashed with my bare fists. Blood gushed out of my knuckles but that demented Angel continued throwing things at me.

I was well aware that I won’t be able to bring Rose to Hell without Jasmine so I knocked her out. I brought her to my room but the moment she regained consciousness, she turned my beautiful and clean room upside down. I was trying to calm her down for the past thirty minutes but nothing worked. She was possessed by an evil spirit whose powers were increasing with every ticking second. The fact that Jasmine duped her was infuriating her but as usual, I was the one who had to be blamed for everything.

“Fucking stop it or should I call an exorcist?” I yelled while catching the lamp which she threw at me. This girl would kill an immortal demon today.

Throwing the lamp on the floor, I advanced toward Rose but was stopped when a cushion was aimed straight at my face.

“I AM GOING BACK AND YOU CAN’T STOP ME!!“, she scalded and tried to run but I grabbed her by her waist.

“I FUCKING TOLD YOU, DIDN’T I? YOU CAN’T GO BACK TO HEAVEN!! THEODORE HAD CLOSED ALL THE PORTALS AND EVEN IF WE USE OUR POWERS AND SOMEHOW MAKE IT, WE ALL WILL BE BURNED THE MOMENT WE STEP OUR FOOT IN HEAVEN!!“, I shouted back while pulling her up in the air. Rose started throwing her legs and clawing my arms as she struggled violently to get out of my grip. Frustrated, I threw her on the bed making her startle.

She let out a shrill when I roughly turned her around by her legs and hovered over her.

“Calm down-”

*PANG*

My jaw clenched feeling a stinging pain in my right cheek. Gnashing my teeth, I glared at her who was also looking at me with piercing eyes.

“YOU FUCKING DARE SLAP ME!!“, I roared while cupping her chin between my fingers.

“Stop fooling me. This whole charade was orchestrated by you and your dear friend. And for that, you should be rewarded more than a slap. You selfish, egoistic, pathetic bastard, YOU DESERVE TO ROT IN HEL-Mmmpffff”

Her screams got muffled when my lips came crashing down on her mouth. Tears trickled down her eyes and disappeared in her hairline. I knew I was forcing her but she pushed me off the edge.

Why does she forget that I am a Demon for fuck’s sake? If I want, I can have her my way and she won’t be able to save herself. But I am not doing that cause I love her.

Grabbing her face in both of my palms, I kissed her viciously. Rose started punching my arms and shoulders but I still didn’t leave her mouth. The softness of her luscious lips only boosted my hunger. A guttural moan left my mouth when I shoved my tongue down her throat. I was lost in savoring the sweetness of her mouth when suddenly she bit my lower lip hard.

“FUCK!!“, I cursed while hissing in pain and glared at Rose who was crying helplessly beneath me.

As if someone threw a bucket full of cold water at me. I looked at Rose in shock as she buried her small face in her palms and started crying like a child.

‘Damnit.’

Sighing, I slowly peeled her hands away from her face. Cupping her face in my palms, I cleared her tears with my fingers and caressed her cheeks.

“Look at me,” I cooed softly but she didn’t obey. I clenched my jaw as my anger resurfaced but I took a deep breath to calm down.

“Listen, baby, I love you. I know you’re upset with Jasmine but I only tried to save you. You can’t force her to come with you ’cause she is not only your sister anymore. She is now the Queen of the Theo Dynasty. You can’t just order her around or compel her to leave Theodore. If Jasmine would have been that obedient, she wouldn’t have deceived you in the first place.”

I spoke firmly making Rose look at me. My heart clenched when I noticed the doleful look on her face. But it was the truth.

The fact that her blood betrayed her was something heart-breaking. I know that she was angry at Jasmine but couldn’t stop worrying about her. But I and Zachary had sensed that cunning witch’s move the moment we saw her. Demons are apt in reading minds so it’s not a big deal that we had guessed the repercussions beforehand.

Grabbing her hands, I made her sit on the bed and took a seat beside her as well.

“I know you hate me but I love you infinitely. I just want you to give me a chance. Theodore had closed all the portals for demons and you both as well which means that Diana’s hands are also tied. Let’s stop fighting and plan a way out of this. But I will still suggest you, move on. Let your sister live the way she wants to. Your dictatorship and continuous interference only made her take such a step.”

My words enraged her as she immediately shot me a killer look.

I shrugged my shoulders, “Don’t give me that. I am only stating the facts. Just stop and let the girl live and me too.” I said and pecked her lips. Rose immediately pushed me away in disgust. I chuckled and stood up. Correcting my clothes, I looked at her only to see myself staring with a scowl.

“Take some rest. I will tell the maids to tidy up my room. By the way, thanks for the love bite,” I winked at her and wiped the blood from the corner of my lips. Two pink dots appeared on her face when I licked the blood off my fingers.

Ruffling her hair, I crouched down to her level and planted a soft kiss on her forehead before finally exiting my ruined room.

“Planning a visit to Barbas?”

My ears perked after hearing a throaty chuckle. I turned around only to confront Zachary who was caressing his iridescent wings while smirking at me smugly.

“Got into a fight? What’s that red mark on your cheek?” He continued teasing me. My nostrils flared. I pounced on him and grabbed his collars. Slamming him on the pillar, I seethed on his face.

“Shut up, alright? It all happened because of you”

He scoffed, “Come on if you wouldn’t have spoken shit about my wife, I would have never hit you in the first place.”

I scoffed, “Yeah. But why use me? You could have simply dragged her with you.” I spat and pushed him back.

“What’s the fun in that? Did you by chance forget that I need to keep my good image intact?”

He grunted and walked past me. I followed him as we both headed to the patio.

Lifting his veil, Zachary settled on the comfy chair before looking at me who was staring at him with a smoldering gaze.

He rolled his eyes in annoyance, “Will you just cut it? We both know that it was for our good. Moreover, I am grateful to Theodore who did half of my work”, he grinned and winked at me.

I shook my head before plopping down on the couch, “You are really difficult to understand, Zac. But I do agree with the latter part”, I replied. We both then let out a loud guffaw and high-fived each other.

Placing my left leg over the right one, I looked at Zachary who was smiling to himself.

“Zac, I know you would hate me for my suggestion but being your friend, I would love to see you spending your life peacefully with Diana instead of…you know”.

I drawled out and left the sentence hanging in middle. But I am sure Zac got the latent meaning cause his smile instantly got dropped.

Shooting me a questionable look, he seethed, “What the fuck do you mean by that? I won’t be committing a crime by taking back what was and what is rightfully mine.”

I nodded, “Yeah I know but what about Diana then? Will she support you in your plan of subversion and conquering her world? Think sensibly Zac, I know that we have suffered a lot but your path to vengeance won’t do any good to you instead it will destroy your mental peace and slowly your life” I tried to make him understand.

Zachary had already tricked Diana into getting married. Rose was right, except for Jasmine’s part. The whole charade of me fighting with Diana and then with Zachary was all planned by us so that we can drag Diana out of the mess. Once the scene became clear, I knocked Rose off and we all safely reached Hell with no bloodshed and fights. But we had no hand in Jasmine’s marriage. In fact, her obsession with Theodore made things easier for us.

The problem is that Zachary is still stuck on his revenge which would deteriorate his new life because the moment Diana comes to know that Zachary used her as a pawn to claim the throne of Heaven, she would never forgive him.

But to my consternation, Zachary scoffed at my words.

“Just accept the fact that you’ve become a pussy now and want to live a peaceful life with your girl. Give up your title and say it on my face that you no longer want to support me instead of giving me shits.”

“ZAC!!!”

I threw the antique vase that was kept on the table harshly before jumping on my feet. How dare he!!

But Zachary ignored my burning eyes that were glistering with tears of rage and continued deriding me.

“What? I am stating the facts, Cal. We’ve been friends since childhood. No one can understand us more than ourselves. I told you each and everything as to why marrying Diana was important for me. Yes, I love her more than myself but at the same time, I can’t break the promises I made to my father. You were supportive that time but ever since Rose entered your life, we’ve been mooting on this topic frequently. I have seen how you always try to manipulate me to forget my revenge.” He spat. I shook my head in denial.

“It’s not that-”

But before I could say something, he shut me by showing me his right palm.

“Don’t worry I won’t force you. I would replace you with some gallant warrior who would be loyal to me and won’t mix his personal and professional life. Whose love life won’t interfere with his duties and whose love interest won’t distract him from obeying the king.”

My blood boiled at his acrid, knife-cutting words. I marched towards him and grabbed him by his collars.

“Why do you keep dragging Rose in every matter? Fine then. If you are so desperate to quench your thirst for revenge then go ahead, I won’t stop but remember my words, you will regret it.”

A deafening silence followed after that. But I know that Zachary was affected by my words. An air of fear groped him but being the jerk, he immediately blew away before it could grasp him in its claws.

Shaking his head, he let out a chuckle and yanked my hands away. He then stood up and looked at me who was internalizing his every move.

“Zachary never regrets Cal. And it’s good that you chose my side. We have to start our plan soon.”

He spoke in his husky voice turning me speechless. I sighed in defeat. It was pointless making him understand.

Now time will only make him realize his mistakes.

I nodded and dipped my hands in the pocket of my pants.

“So, any updates from Jasmine?”
