“What’s so special about this castle that it’s taking you an eternity to break through it?”, Zachary said while glaring at Jasmine who was sweating profusely.

“I am trying my best, Your Majesty. The spell with which Whitestone Citadel is sealed is too powerful. This castle was gifted to Ariel by his father, Darius who is the best occultist in Heaven. She had learned the occult practices from him and to be honest, Ariel is best at sealing royal treasures, castles, and places that contain secret information and lethal weapons to protect them from enemies. This castle is divided into four main parts and each part is sealed with different powers. After sealing the castle, Ariel made sure to destroy all the keys so that no one except her can get access. Though I have broken the seals of the southern side of the castle, the northern side where Diana is kept is still effective, and to break that is a tough task.” she replied to him while performing the witchcraft.

Finally, after a lot of hard work and patience, the spell broke. Jasmine smiled in relief watching the mahogany door blazing with a dazzling green flame. She then took out her bayonet. Pointing it at the door, she closed her eyes while mumbling a spell.

Zachary rolled his eyes, “Fuck this information. I have no interest in knowing the backstory of Ariel. If I want, I can demolish this place within a snap of my fingers but I am tolerating everything for my princess. Just wait you fuckers, once I snatch my Princess from your bloody clutches, I won’t even let her think about Moonland ever.” He muttered under his breath.

Rose who heard him let out a scoff, “Your puny size mind isn’t capable enough to know our backstory and realize the depth of the bonds which Diana shares with her family and friends. Though their relationship had turned bitter today that doesn’t mean Ariel doesn’t care for Diana. She had raised her. We all love her more than you, freak. Don’t forget that your princess has spent half of her life with us, under our protection while you met her just a few months ago. You can’t even compare yourself with us.”

His head snapped towards her as soon as she completed. Zachary shot her a glare which Rose returned with the same intensity. With clenched fists, he marched towards her when Calix blocked his way.

“Don’t. I’ll deal with her.” He said calmly. Zachary nodded.

“Better make her understand or I’ll do the honors”, he gritted and walked back to Jasmine.

The green flame slowly waned and reduced into loose threads. With one swift move, Jasmine cut them and tried to open the door. But she was harshly pushed to the side by Zachary.

Zachary tilted his neck and gave a strong kick making the door burst open. He then entered but was stopped by a panicked Jasmine, “W-what are you doing? Demon King, Ara is in charge of Diana’s safety. You don’t know she is the best in fencing. You won’t be able to defeat her.”

Zachary looked at Calix who only smirked at her, “Then you don’t know him, little girl. No one is born yet to defeat the mighty Demon King. You did your job now leave the rest to Zachary; he’ll handle it. You’ll only lead his way inside, got it??”

Jasmine frowned at his words but eventually gave in. She then entered the castle followed by Zachary. Rose was about to walk inside when she was pulled back. Scowling, she looked over her shoulders only to see Calix holding her left wrist. She opened her mouth to scold him but he immediately hauled her towards himself taking her off guard.

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING-Mmmpfff”

Her screams got swallowed in his mouth as he quickly pressed his lips on her and swiftly wrapped his right arm around her waist. With the other he grabbed her nape and pulled her closer, deepening the kiss.

Rose was initially frozen but soon her senses clicked in when he felt his tongue poking the seam of her lips. She started hitting his shoulders but her every punch was like a feather stroke to Calix. He smirked at her futile attempts and instead of releasing her, he threaded his long fingers in her golden hair before giving them a harsh tug. Rose screamed in pain and taking the advantage, he immediately shoved his tongue inside and started exploring every corner of her mouth.

Calix often used to come to Moonland to meet Rose. Their first meeting had shaken up the girl badly. Though Rose’s innocence and breath-taking beauty always tempted him to ruin her, it would only end up with her hating him. Calix wanted to win her heart the same way Zachary won Diana that’s why he always maintained a certain distance from her.

Calix was no saint either. He was as terrible as Zachary but he had tremendous self-control. He knew if he ever made a move towards Rose, she would succumb to death as she was utterly terrified of him. That’s why he was taking things slow. But today when he realized that his dally would only make her slip from his fingers, he decided to cut the act and claim her. He couldn’t wait any longer. The moment he found her draped in a wedding dress, Calix was looking for an opportunity to get some privacy, and the moment Zachary and Jasmine left, he pounced on her.

Calix was too lost in pleasure. The moment his eyes had captured the image of her soft lips that were tainted with bright pink lipstick, a strong desire to taste them erupted in his heart. He had never tasted something as sweet and soft as that. And no sooner did he taste her lips than his greed to ravage her skyrocketed. Without giving a damn about anything, he flushed her fragile figure to his well-toned chest and started feasting on her pink petals like a parched traveler.

Calix pulled her lower lip with his teeth and nibbled on it making her wince in pain. Rolling his tongue over the mark he created, he smooched it to soothe the pain. Rose was in full fight mode. She started clawing his face, jaw, and neck like a wild kitten but Calix remain unfazed. After what felt like an eternity, he finally left her mouth not before giving a long peck on her swollen lips. Rose instantly jerked back and pushed him away which he let her. Wiping her lips furiously, she raised her hand and slapped him hard.

“HOW DARE YOU?? YOU MONSTER, HOW DARE YOU KISS ME YOU LOW, PATHETIC PIECE OF SHIT!!!“, she shouted at the top of her lungs.

For the first time in her 21 years of life, she cursed. Rose was deeply hurt, disgusted, and beyond mortified. She felt violated, humiliated, and degraded. On the other hand, Calix poked his tongue making a bump on his right cheek, and looked at her with an annoyed expression.

“You slapped me?”, he spoke with clenched teeth. But this time his threat didn’t deter her from lashing at him. She strode towards him and grabbed his collar pulling him to her face level.

“YOU DESERVE MORE THAN THAT, BLOODY BASTARD!! YOU’VE ALREADY SNATCHED MY HOPE OF EVER GETTING MARRIED TO THE MAN OF MY DREAMS BUT TODAY YOU STOLE MY FIRST KISS!! THE ONE WHICH I’VE SAVED FOR YEARS FOR MY MAN!! FIRST GEORGE, NOW YOU!! WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK HUH?? JUST BECAUSE I AM POOR YOU THINK YOU CAN WALK OVER ME?? MAKE ME SUBMIT IT TO YOU? MY WILL, MY CONSENT DOESN’T MATTER TO YOU?? HUH!!!”

Angry tears rushed down her cheeks as she sobbed hard. Calix’s eyes softened for a moment but when he heard that she was still waiting for her shining knight in armor, he lost it.

His sapphire orbs blazed like a whirling storm. His veins popped out and his face turned dark like night. Grabbing her chin in a tight grip, he forced her to look into his furious eyes.

“I don’t give a damn you’re poor or not. I fancy you, adore you and I WANT YOU!! You became mine the day I laid my eyes on you. Didn’t I make myself clear that I am going to marry you? I understand that marrying George was never your intention but you got the guts to tell me how you’re still waiting for your man? You dare talk about him and share your precious moment with him in front of YOUR MAN!!!“, he raged.

“You are not my man!! I hate you and will forever do!!“, Rose shouted back and tried to move away but Calix coiled his arms around her body tightly.

“LEAVE ME!!!”, Rose continued to shout but he grabbed the back of her head and made her look in his blue eyes that were dripping with lust, anger, and madness.

“Never. I made a mistake leaving you once but not now. I told you to make up your mind but looks like you’re begging for pain. Fine then, you’re coming with me to Hell once Zachary saves Diana. There I will tame your disobedience and show you how I take care of my most precious possessions. You are revolted by our first kiss, right? But precious, I won’t stop here only. You don’t have the slightest bit of idea how much I have controlled the raging hormones that used to beg me to wreck you. But no worries, once you become mine, I will not only kiss you but fuck you so hard that even if you forget your name, you’ll remember mine.”

Rose was horror-struck. Her face turned white as paper as she stared into his wanton eyes that were gawking at her like a hungry beast. Tears started escaping her eyes as she shook her head vigorously.

“Y-You can’t do this. You can’t force me to leave my hometown. Diana will never let you,” she said with a wobbling chin and placed her palms on her chest to free herself from his death hold but she flinched hard when his chest vibrated all of a sudden. Calix threw his head back as he let out a loud guffaw.

“Oh, poor baby, you think Zac will leave Diana after the little stunt his dear sister-in-law tried to pull off. We came all the way from Hell to Moonland not only to save Diana but take her back home, her new home. Diana isn’t safe here and Zachary would never leave her alone because Ariel wouldn’t stop trying her luck. Moreover, we can’t trust Diana’s family either. They might change their minds at the last moment and side with Ariel. You know it’s too dangerous. So, moral of the story is you both are coming with us with or without your consent.” He emphasized the word consent and shot her a cocky smirk.

All the colors got drained off her face. Her body turned rigid as she was too stunned to react when her mind processed his words. Calix smiled as he found her too adorable while looking at him innocently. He grabbed her cheeks and forced her lips into a pout.

“What happened my little tigress? Shocked? But why? Don’t you think it’s fair? Tomorrow your Ari has arranged Diana and Theodore’s wedding when it is Diana and Zac’s wedding. Zac had already tolerated enough only to make Diana happy. You know he is not at all like this. He was controlling his temper only because of her happiness but now I also think that Diana should listen to Zachary. It’s not like she has an option anyway. She has to otherwise he’ll force her,” he said and pecked her lips.

Rose was infuriated by his casual behavior. She slapped his hands away and somehow freed herself. Giving him a death glare, she snarled, “So this is the reality of you two? First luring naive girls with your charade of love and concern, and then when you finally get them wrapped around your fingers, you start dominating and pressurizing them to obey you. I am happy that I didn’t fall for your love act but Diana did. That poor girl doesn’t even know that her Zac had always played with her feelings.”

“Nope, you’re wrong.” Calix immediately cut her in midway.

“He never played with her feelings. He for sure loves Diana but Ariel’s excessive cleverly evoked the beast in him. Zac went against his real nature, defied the devil’s laws only to keep a smile on your Di’s face but you must have heard of that famous proverb- ‘a diamond can cut a diamond’. Theodore won’t stop until and unless he gets Diana and that stupid Ariel will never understand the true love of Zachary and Diana. So, Zachary has to act tough to make them understand that messing with the Demon King is just like willingly embracing death.”

He explained to her while wrapping his both arms around her waist. He then buried his face in the crook of her neck and closed his eyes relishing her strawberry fragrance, “Now tell me are we still doing wrong?”

“But you promised Jasmine that you will help us. Now you’re telling me to leave her alone. You can’t do this to me, she is my only family. What will happen to her? Don’t you even value your words?”, Rose sneered and started punching his right shoulder.

Calix chuckled and kissed her neck making her breath stop, “Today I will tell you a secret precious which will be beneficial for you in the future.”

Rose turned stiff as stone. Her heart started palpitating wildly when she felt something sharp grazing her neckline. She immediately gave a hard push but Calix tightened his grip and buried his face in her neck. She started crying badly when she felt his fangs grazing the shell of her left ear, “N-No, please.”

Calix chuckled and kissed her temple before whispering in an eerie tone.

“Demons love to break promises.”
