Amir's pov

Wow! it's good to be back home, surely their is no place like home. Yeah I'm back Nigeria!I've been in the UK for two years now to further my education on business and I'm grateful because I'm now a qualified business man. When I talk of business I mean big businesses which involves millions and billions of naira. Since I'm the next heir to my father that makes me the new owner of SHUWA COMPANY LTD.

I was ordered by my father to come back to Nigeria on matter which I'm yet to know about. I just pray it's not something so serious.

Where could the driver be? I was told he is to come pick me up from the airport. He better not waste my time because if he does, he is definitely going to hear it from me,I hate lateness.

I saw a guy running towards me, I guess he is the driver then. Before I could talk he said " oga, I'm so sorry for keeping you waiting sir. "

" you better not repeat that again. I hate people keeping me waiting. Next time you try that you will be dismissed from your job. Do I make myself clear" I warned.

He nodded his head like he was scared. " I promise oga I won't repeat that again" he said with a shake voice.

" and another thing ,stop calling me oga, sir is enough please. " I added. He nodded his head like a scared cat.

He took my traveling back and open the back door of the G wagon 2017 model car he brought. I entered into the car then he quickly open the booth of the car to put my traveling bags inside and then took off to take me home.

We finally reached the front gate of my house, the driver opened it with the control remote. He then drove into the compound or should I say mansion, my father really love extravagant things . I mean who wouldn't? when you have all it takes to get whatever you want. It is really a big house.

The car door was opened by my driver, I got out of the car as he followed me behind with my traveling bags.

" My baby is back" came a soft voice.I missed hearing that voice.

That was mom. She ran to give me a hug before we both got inside the house together with my other siblings,nephews and nieces who were also waiting to greet me.

" Ya' Amir, I really missed you. You don't even want to come back again ko" that was my junior sister Sadiya. You would think she's ten years old with how she behaves, she is nineteen years old and doesn't act like one.

" Now I'm here and I promise not to go back to UK again and if I go back we would surely go there together" I said with a teasing smile and everyone around laughed.

" and I thought you would have changed this your childish act but now I can see that you haven't changed one bit . I so pity your future husband" I added jokingly. She only replied back with a pout and again we all laughed at her.

After the welcome back greetings I had with my family, I went to my section of the house . I have my own section,all the men of the house have their own section, mine is a two story building and designed just the way I like it same with my younger brothers too.

I went straight to my bathroom to take a shower after that I changed into my night wear. I need to give Khalifa a call, he is one of my closest friend here in Nigeria and we've been together since childhood. He might be expecting my call already.

" Hey man, I thought you wouldn't call me again or maybe I'm not important to you right" he childishly said. He is as childish as sadiya( my sister) and they don't even get along

" trust me man I have been meaning to call you since I came back but you know how large is my family . I have to wait and greet everyone and you know take a bath too, I just got out from shower thats why I'm calling now. Why am I even explaining myself to you" I retorted. He made me say more than what I even want to say.

" Hey, why are you blaming me. You just abandoned me without even calling to tell me you're already home" he said in a playful voice. He is so childish that sometimes I wonder what I'm still doing with him. Well he is a wonderful friend and also a successful businessman,he recently took over his father's property.

" Whatever" I retorted

" What! Did I just hear you say whatever. Wow so the big Amir Shatima Bula can also say that word and i thought you said those line belongs to women" he said excitedly like a small kid.

" Wow, you actually surprised me there" he said.

" Just shut up already" I groaned out

" but- i"

"I said shut up for God sake" I shouted through the phone. He is really a pain in the neck, he really knows how to ruin my patience.

I sigh and said" Just say what you want to say cos I'm really tired and I really need to sleep. Don't forget I just got back from a long hours journey 'ok"

" Aye Aye captain " why can't he just stop this silly act.

" I swear I'm going to hang up now"

" But I miss you, I just-" I hung up

He is really testing my patience. We would meet tomorrow and I'm going to straighten that silly act of his. I sighed.

I walked to my king size bed and lay down,before i know it I slept off.

" Wakey Wakey, rise and shine sunshine" came an annoying voice. I swear it, I'll punch his face if he doesn't leave me alone.

Before I know it the curtains were wide open and the sun is now shining into the room. Arhh, why can't he just let me sleep.

" Darling, you need to get up" that same annoying voice.

" wake up sweet heart" Khalifa said in a high-pitched voice.

I grab one of the pillow and threw it at his face but lucky him he quickly dodged it.

" Why can't I have a peaceful sleep for God sake, After the taunt you pulled on the phone yesterday you just won't let me rest"

" But you know i-"

" I don't want to hear it"

" I thought we have something in -"

" Don't even try and end that sentence"

" But I love -umphh" I threw a pillow at his face before he could finish that statement.

" Get out" I pushed him out of the house. At last some peace.

I went to take a quick shower so as to join my family for breakfast in the main section.

I already woke up for fajr prayer around 5am before I went back to bed. But no , I can't even have a peaceful sleep all because of my bestfriend Khalifa.

As I came out of my bathroom, I changed into a blue t shirt and a long sport trouser. Since I would be in door through out today, that was why I decided to put on something casual.

I quickly walked to the main house to have my breakfast. I would have loved it to be sent to my room but my mom won't allow it, she always want everyone to be at the dinning table to eat . She says eating together makes family bond stronger. But anyways that is my mom for you.

Upon entering the house the scent of my mom's food filled my nostrils and I love it. It makes me realize how I truly missed home.

Everyone is already situated in his or her own seat round the dinning table including Khalifa. After I drove him out of my house, I guess he decided to join them here in the main house.

I greeted everyone before taking my seat.

" The prince has arrived, at last. I thought I would have to come drag you out of your section. I'm really starving " Khalifa whined while I roll my eye. Why is he always this dramatic. I wondered.

" Why didn't you have breakfast at your own house before coming here?" said sadiya annoyingly. I always wonder why they don't get along.

" How do you expect me to miss this sumptuous meal mama cooked. Nope it'll never gonna happen" he replied to her with his signature smirk. He truly knows what to say, he know his way with the ladies. I guess that is why sadiya never got along with him.

" Whatever" sadiya retorted.

" Can you two just stop it already. The food is already getting cold " said my dad. The two quickly shut up, thank God.gu***TWO MONTHS LATER ***

" Mama come and see! I made my waec result " I shouted as I entered into the compound. Our waec result was out and alot of people have checked theirs some made their papers while some didn't but I'm happy I made mine.

Mama came out of her room to see why I was shouting her name like a crazy woman.

" What is it?why are you shouting? " Mama asked.

" Mama I passed my papers. I passed with three credits and five B" I said while showing her. I was so happy .

" I'm so proud of you my darling daughter, you've made me proud " said mama while hugging me.

After we pulled away from our mother and daughter hug, mama promised to prepare my favorite. Wow! today is one of the happiest day of my life. Since I passed my jamb and now my waec, kasu ,here I come.

**Few hours later. **

Baba and my brother rejoiced with me and each one of them promised to gift me something. We all settled in baba's room because its spacious and can contain all of us. We were all having our family night bonding ,you get. We ate our yam and fried egg. After that ,ya Ahmad brought out the suya he bought when I called and told him about the good news. We also eat it to our satisfaction.

After every one left to his or her room, I decided to share the good news with Aisha and I pray she also made her papers.I went into my room to retrieve my phone so as to call Aisha.

" Babe how far" came Aisha's voice.

" I'm fine o, so have you checked your waec result" I asked

" You know, I'm so lazy to check but have you checked yours?" she asked.she is too lazy for her liking. I know if her parents didn't force her to go to school she wouldn't. She is never a lover of school.

" yes oo, I cleared everything " I said happily. Aisha was also happy for me she kept shouting congrats.

" Make sure you check it tomorrow or don't worry come to my house tomorrow so we can check it together in aunty bisi's shop" I said.

Since aunty bisi's shop is close to my house it will be easier if she come to my house.

" OK, see you tomorrow "

I ended the call

" Don't worry you'll clear your papers" I said to a fidgeting Aisha.She came to my house around 10 am.We both were in aunty bisi's shop to check her results but it's still loading.

" YES! I cleared it, look Ameera" she said pointing at the computer. I'm so happy for her, she has three B and five credits.

" Congrats girl, we're gonna rock kasu this year" I squealed and high fived.

" yes oo" she replied.

We paid aunty Bisi for her service and left to my house.

We salaamed as we made our way into the compound, mama answered and welcome us with a smile and the eagerness to know whether Aisha cleared her papers.

" Mama guess what!" Aisha said.

" Yeye children ,I knew you would cleared your paper and I'm so proud of you two" said mama pulling us for a hug.

" What is the occasion? what are we celebrating ?" came ya kabiru's voice.

We pulled away and mama explained why we were happy to him.

" Wow, congrats Aisha " he said with a brotherly smile and my dear friend Aisha was seriously blushing. Did I tell you Aisha has a crush on my brother when we were 14yrs and he was 18yrs then.My brother only sees her as a sister but I would have love it if they end up together so I can have cute nephews or nieces .

" Thanks ya kabiru " she said to him.

" So since I'm also a proud brother and I want to treat you girls out so therefore I would give you girls just 5 minutes to dress up and meet me outside" he announced and we squealed. We ran to my room to re touch our make up.

**Five minutes later**

We met ya kabiru outside with a tricycle man waiting for us. Ya kabiru saw us coming and said " I thought I will have to drag you girls out before you comeout" he said jokingly " What were you girl even doing?" he asked

"We were rubbing makeup, you know girls stuff" I answered . While Aisha was seriously blushing and that makes me wonder if her crush for my brother has rekindle . Yes, it's back.

" Girls and makeup " he grumbled .

We entered into the tricycle and I made sure Aisha sat in the middle . Since ya kabiru has broken up with his girlfriend ( hamidah) and this is the best opportunity to join them together.

Hamidah's parents married her off to one of her rich cousin.

We stopped at the gate of the park. There was a sign board with WONDER LAND written on it. It's a new park and I've been meaning to come see it but I don't have the money.

We all got out of the tricycle and ya kabiru paid the napep man. We walked inside the gate of the park and paid for the money, although it was ya kabiru that paid .

The place is filled up with people and there are so many exciting things to see. You might think that parks are for small kids but come and see what I'm seeing right now , the park is filled up with grown ups. In some angle you'll see couples and other part friends some part family and so on

We went straight to the ice-cream shop and ya kabiru asked what flavor we wanted.

" I want the banana and vanilla flavour" I said and Aisha also want same thing as I while ya kabiru love the chocolate flavour.

After that we went to all the fun part of the place which was so exciting.

" I hope you girls are enjoying yourself " asked ya kabiru.

" Yes we are and thanks again for bringing us here" said Aisha with a smile. They were both smiling at each other and anyone would think they were lovers. I cleared my voice and they broke their lovely stare.

" Since you love birds are done staring at each other we can now move " I teased and ya kabiru shot me a glare and my dear friend was as usual blushing.

I laughed as we made our way to other fun part.

" Just stop it aready" a beautiful lady said to a guy she was standing with. Maybe he is her husband, I thought.

From the scrowl on her face,you will know that the man said something to annoy her. The guy should be around ya Ahmad's age and the lady maybe around my age. They look cute together..

" OH baby you just wound me" the guy held his chest dramatically, he looked like a playboy but from the way he was looking at the lady you would know that he likes he khalifa you better stop" she threatened

What a funny couple, I thought.

" Why are you looking at those couple" Aisha pointed at them.

I laughed and said " They are so funny "

" Whatever, come let's join ya kabiru. He went to get some extra ice cream for us" she said with soft smile lingering on her lips.
