Chapter 176: Chapter 176
Cameron Spencer’s face wasn’t looking bad, but it wasn’t good either.
He stared at Summer Spencer for a while, his gaze seemingly calm, and faintly hummed before pulling the woman beside him over, smiling as he spoke to Justus Spencer, Spring Spencer, and Summer Spencer, "I’ve called you here today to get acquainted."
"This is Brooke Osborne, she’ll be with me from now on, your fourth aunt. She has a special connection with me, once saved me and Spring, and now she takes care of me devotedly—I’m very pleased."
Then he admonished Hazel Winchester and Summer Spencer, "Hazel, you’re getting older, you don’t need to take care of me, just take care of Summer, don’t let her get hot-headed and be incited to cause trouble, or it will tarnish the name of Spencer Group."
When he said these words, he didn’t cast a single glance at Molly Zimmerman.
Molly Zimmerman’s face turned from red to white, wishing she could find a hole to crawl into.
In the past, Cameron Spencer was quite kind to her. Though they didn’t meet often, whenever she called him "Uncle," he always responded with a gentle smile.
Never had he been , not even turning his eyes toward her.
Molly felt ashamed and embarrassed, wanting to leave this place immediately.
But Hazel wouldn’t let her go, and she didn’t dare to leave either.
She absolutely couldn’t afford to offend the Spencer Family now.
So even though Cameron was showing her displeasure, she had to endure it.
But this was the first time in her life she’d been humiliated .
She did not blame Cameron Spencer; instead, she directed all her anger at Lawrence Winters.
If it weren’t for Lawrence Winters, would she be facing such humiliation all the time?
After finishing his words, Cameron waved his hand and said, "I’m very tired, you all leave; let me have a few quiet days."
Then he advised Spring Spencer, "Although Summer has issued an apology statement about the Capital City University matter, it’s still not enough. Go there yourself and make a donation, no less than a hundred million, as scholarships for impoverished students."
Spring Spencer quickly agreed, "I’ll take care of it right away."
Cameron turned to look at Justus, who had been standing silently by his side, sighed, and said, "You’re married now, you should learn to manage this business operation."
"I’ve already suggested to the board that you become the CEO of Spencer Group, and work well with your eldest sister to achieve something for me, and show the board. Otherwise, they’re always saying you don’t measure up to your sisters."
Cameron had three children. His eldest son, Justus Spencer, didn’t have as good grades as his two sisters in school, but he had a good temperament, high emotional intelligence, and a talent for management.
After graduating from college, he joined Spencer Group, started from the grassroots, and steadily advanced. Now he is the CEO, which was only a matter of course.
However, Cameron always felt that Justus was too conservative. It’s fine to maintain stability, but to lead Spencer Group to the next level might be challenging.
Among his three children, he admired his eldest daughter, Spring Spencer, the most; she’s capable, driven, and able to focus on getting things done.
But unfortunately, she’s just a daughter.
Spring and Summer Spencer exchanged glances, feeling somewhat indignant.
It’s such an outdated thinking. Even now, their father insists only a male can be the successor.
Cameron seemed to have read their thoughts, and smiled as he continued, "Don’t worry, you’re all members of the Spencer Family. In the future, whoever achieves the most will be the Spencer Family’s heir. I’ve told the lawyers and the board the same."
Hearing this, Summer Spencer exclaimed, "Dad, you’re so biased! My brother is the CEO, my sister is the CFO, and me? I’m only a small publicity director!"
"As a publicity director, you’ve already caused so much trouble. What if you were made CEO or CFO? You’d ruin our entire group!" Cameron’s face darkened, "The donation to Capital’s impoverished student fund will be deducted from your trust fund."
"What?!" Summer Spencer shouted in surprise, "That’s a lot of money, you said no less than a hundred million! Why should I be the one to pay?!"
"Because you’re the one who caused the trouble, why should I use everyone’s money to clean up your mess?" Cameron gave her a heavy look, raising a finger as he warned, "What I can give you, I can also take back."
Summer didn’t dare say another word, only turned around and glared fiercely at Molly Zimmerman, deciding to find Molly’s father to get this money back.
This money should come from the Zimmerman Family!
Molly Zimmerman was too stunned to speak.
Her cousin’s trust fund could casually have a hundred million deducted, how much principal must there be inside?!
