"Mark, not this morning", Maya pouted. "I thought we made love last night?" She said, trying to wiggle her way out of my arms but in quicky pinned her on the bed.
That was last night, I said lustfully, rubbing my palm on her bump. It's always been twice a day remember? I asked teasingly.
You see, a week after we got married, we never made love because we were moaning. So after the burial, we decided to make sex a very important part of our marriage and so has it been this five years for as long as we wake up healthy.
"Don't worry, I haven't forgotten but you might be forgetting that your elephant wife is seven months pregnant, and gets tired easily, so once a day is fine but I promise to make it up to you after our baby is born," she smirked.
But I can't seem to have enough of you, I said, exploring her mouth with my tongue. She kisses me back passionately, encouraging me to slip my hand into her nightie. Mind you, you are not an elephant, I whisper in her ear, slinging my tongue around her ear lobe, earning a giggle from her.
"Yes I am, I've added so much weight," She said sadly. I don't know how to convince her that she looks amazing. She complains about her body but to me, she is flawless.
"Yes, you still look beautiful and sexy. I said, pulling her into another kiss."
"You are lying," She says catching her breath.
I don't tell lies. You look so beautiful, I complimented, kissing in between her tighs.
"No, definitely not now. Today is Violet's birthday which means, I have to pick her up from Tracy early enough to get her dressed for the party." She says after breaking the kiss.
I'll let you off this morning because it's our daughter's birthday but you have to make it up to me tonight. I said lustfully.
"That is not a problem," She said, Planting a kiss on my forehead.
Mark's POV
I never knew a day like this will come. We have been married for five years and it's quite an amazing journey. I'm glad I married for love. I can't believe I had wanted to choose my career and not give love a chance. I would have been the most miserable man on earth. There has never been a dull moment with Maya. Even with our kids and our pregnancy, she doesn't neglect my needs.
We have built a business empire together with wonderful friends who are now family. Our story will never be complete without Tracy & Tom. Those two are the best people to be in our lives.
I chose love and anytime, any day, I will choose and fight for love. Maya is worth fighting for. I know I hurt her in the past but gradually I am making it up to her by being the best husband to her and the best father to our kids.
Yes, we have three children. Violet, Jemima, and Martin. We decided to have two more to complete our dream of having five children. It was my dream but she bought into it. I figured we should have a lot of kids because growing up as an only child was very boring and Maya agrees because she has also experienced a lonely life and wants more family.
Today is our first daughter, Violet's birthday. She happens to share the same birthday with Tom and Tracy's son, Damien. So we have to prepare for the party. Tom and Tracy live a few blocks from us so the kids decide where to spend the night. Today they are here and another time they are there.
My marriage with Maya has taught me a lot of things. Meeting her has given me the understanding that you don't have to be perfect to get a perfect partner. You just have to work on each other, every day.
I am no longer the proud, arrogant, and egocentric jerk. I am more caring and a people-oriented. I have changed positively. I have also learned about the need for patience and sacrifice. If you find the right person, never give up on him or her. Life is too short so enjoy it whiles it lasts.
