Chapter 32: Chapter 32
IN LESS than two months, Javier and Gretel completely recovered. Sometimes, Javier could not still believe that he was still alive after his thirtieth birthday. But every time he looked at Gretel’s beautiful face whenever they watched the sunset together, he was satisfied.
They attend balls together, take a night trip to the market, holding each other’s hand while other people watched them with envy. They had also traveled together to faraway cities, which delighted Gretel. Instead of shopping for souvenirs and clothes, she preferred buying books.
She had saved so many memories that she could write her own book for those. Javier could not help but fall in love with his wife every day. She never stopped seeing the beauty in the smallest things. She taught him not to take everything for granted and to appreciate it.
IT WAS already past dinner. Javier was reading papers at his table when he saw Gretel went out of the bedroom.
She was wearing a sheer nightgown, her breasts visible under the cloth and her underwear. He straightened his back as his eyes did not leave her body.
She eventually sat on his table and smiled at him. He cleared his throat as his manhood reacted inside his pants.
“I’m busy,” he teased.
“Did I ever care?” she asked, arching an eyebrow.
He chuckled as he pulled his drawer and stuffed the papers inside. Since when did he prioritize other things over his wife?
“I got to confess something,” she said as he stood up.
He kissed the curve of her neck as he pulled her dress down.
“What is it?”
Gretel sucked her breath and arched her back.
“Promise me first that you won’t laugh.”
“I won’t,” he said as he stared into her eyes.
Gretel bit her lip for a moment.
“After being friends with your Alexander persona and even before I married you, for some reason, I had dreams involving you both.”
“Dreams? What kind of dreams?”
“I-indecent ones,” Gretel answered shyly.
“I’d like to hear it.” He slipped his hand under her nightgown and reached for her panties.
Gretel leaned on her elbows as she lifted her hips.
“Are you sure?”
“We have all night.” He pulled her underwear and dropped it on the floor.
Gretel could not help giggling. She pulled him by the nape and kissed his mouth.
“You miss Alexander, don’t you?” Javier said.
“I don’t. He was never gone, in the first place.”
Javier smiled as he dipped his head and claimed her mouth, sharing another glorious kiss with her.
THE END. ***
