Later that evening,
Eris was heading towards the hospital. The people who were passing by her all seemed to be merry and happy then why did she have to be the unhappy one out of them. The evening comes down onto the city.
When she reached the hospital she looked at the entrance and thought about not entering. "what will I tell mom about the operation fees? '' she thinks to herself.
She heads back towards the studio again to get scolding from her senior about not being able to do the job properly.`` Why would he help me at this rate? How can I ask for a huge amount of money?" she thought to herself.
"And all the women there were all getting angry at me cause that rich billionaire helped me when I fell down and the fault was because of the crowd mostly otherwise I wouldn't have fallen down" she blamed her fate.
"Where will I get the money now? Guess I will have to ask the horrible man to help me no matter what it takes" she gathered all the courage and headed towards the studio where she works.
She steadily heads towards the studio; there weren't too many people there, only a few ones. She goes to her seat and sits down and puts her bag there. Right at the moment someone says," Is Eris here chief looking for her?''.
" Tell him I am coming, "responds Eris. By her side there was her friend in the studio, another reporter Emma." Wonder why he's calling for you? "Emma asks her." I don't know maybe it's about the screwed up job, "replies Eris.
" You did something or what? "Emma asks." Yup, anyway I should get going "Eris says getting up." Good luck "Emma says." Thanks "Eris says and leaves.
She heads towards the chief's office at a steady pace." May I come in? "she calls." Yes you can "replies the chief Marco.
" May I know why you called for me? "Eris asks, lowering her head." You know that very well it's about that interview with Luke Fernandez why couldn't you take any interview? "he shouts out.
" Because of the crowd "she replied." Even so this is such a lame excuse not to do work "he retorts." Believe me I wasn't slacking off '" she protests.
" I don't believe in any words you say "retorts he." Now this month's salary will be half of the amount "he sternly says." But what about the money for my dad's operation? "she asks." Why do you think that I will give you such a huge amount of money don't ever forget your position, you are just an reporter "he remarks.
" Then how will I get the money? "she asks." God knows '' he replies. Hearing all of this Eris was about to reach the doorknob of the room right after that called Marco.
"If you want I can give you money but for that you need to give me something" he says smiling. "What is it over time? I will do it '' she replies." No not that it's something different "he says getting up from his seat and heading towards her.
" The job which I will assign you with is to 'pleasure me' "he whispers in her ear." what? "Eris was shocked." Yes, please me and I will give you money for the operation and will give you promotion too "he whispers.
" But I.... " she mutters." You know I had always liked you, your hair, your eyes, your body and those huge assets which any man will fall for I like your everything '' he murmurs.
"But you have your wife how can you do that?" she asks. Well I.. Like her too but I love you and want to get a taste of you "he says licking his lips." If you agree I can give you money now what's your decision? Huh "he whispers.
" I..... I "she stutters.
Eris POV -
" No matter what happens I need the money but I will never hand myself over to him ".
" This dirty old bastard he wants me to pleasure him there's no way I will but from where can I get all that money from? "
" Should I agree with his proposal?". "But doing this he will like admitting defeat so I won't".
"But dad's operation and the hospital bills. What if he fires me where I will go? Then?"
"What's wrong dear don't you like my proposal?" Marco says playfully. "Get your hands off me you old geezer" Eris shouts. "I don't want your money, you keep those to yourself I won't let myself be bought by someone like you" she yells.
"You know If you behave this way then I can fire you from your work right?" he accuses her. "You can fire me whatever you want but I don't like you and I don't want to do what you say," she shouts.
"You have the nerve to go against me, then Alright Eris you are fired hand me the resignation later by tomorrow '' he tells" never come back here ".
" Yeah I won't "saying this she comes out of the office everyone was looking at her in wonder. Michael comes up to her asking '' hey what happened? why was chief mad at you ?''. '' It's Nothing. I will tell you all about it later and will call you later, '' she says and leaves .
