That following day , Luke had a call a business meeting and for that he needed to go out and the place was the Natasha's dad's company and it was raining a lot that day but the rain stopped midway but the sky was still cloudy reminding Luke of his sadness and gloominess again . '' Should i go ? but this dampening weather makes me feel melancholy '' he thoughts . '' But this seems like an important meeting i should go come to think of it i haven't went out in days , i should go '' he mutters .
He calls one of the servants ,'' is granny at home ? ''' . '' No young master she went out to give invitations will arrive at night as she had said '' the servant replies . '' Great you can go now i am going out will be back later '' Luke says . He gets dressed up and leaves for the office .
At this time Eris also leaves for the office though her mom didn't wanted to let her go she still insisted and headed towards her office . Both heading towards the office will they meet ? is this destiny calling for them ?
Eris had arrived first in the office and Luke later , but little did they know that all the people there were in the left wing of the building and they were at the west wing . Eris had to take the elevator cause she was late for the meeting she skipped the stairs . The meeting was on the 14th floor . Luke also was on the 13th floor he was about to head for the 14th floor it was the top floor of the building .
At this time Eris was in the elevator . The moment that the door opened Luke and Eris was now face to face with each other . Luke stopped midway but the door were about to close so he went inside . 'Both were silent awkward silence between each other . There was two meters of distance between them .
Luke's P.O.V
'' Why did i had to see her now after all these days ? just why ?'' . ''' And will i remain silent ? '' . '' will she remain silent ? '' . '' don't we have nothing to say to each other ? '' . '' but what would she even say ? we aren't related with each other , yeah it's better if she remains silent i won't go out of my way to talk to each other again ''' .
'' i can't forget how she insulted me ''' . '' And i heard she's pretty much well now then why should i interfere with her life ? '''
'' she's happy now isn't she ? of course she will , cause i am not here in her life anymore , why did you had to leave me and make all these emotions within my heart rise again ? i shouldn't have come here anyway then i would n't have to see her ? ''
'' Who told you to come here anyway ? and by the look of her clothes she seems to be employee here who gave her the job ? Natasha ? that's how she's living in quite luxury , great '' . '' so you are starting to forget about me ? ''' .
Eris' s P.O.V
'' What is he doing here ? i never had thought that we will meet again and here like this on such a day , i should have stayed at home rather than meeting him here should have listened to mom '' .
''' Now i can't help wondering how he's been doing , by his looks he seems to be doing well but the same expression ever again , what are you playing at god ? letting me meet each other again before the day of our own marriages ? '' . '' He must be doing well cause she will marry him they will be a happy couple ever after '' .
'' why everytime i try to forget about him he appears in front of me again ? '' . '' what is this cruel destiny that makes us face to face with each other again ? why can't i erase you from my memory just why ? '' . '' if our eyes meet i can't talk with him honestly '' .
It was at that time sudden downpour and the lift stopped working . '' What happened ? '' Luke mutter switching all the buttons altogether but nor the lift was going down nor it was going up . '' It seems stuck '' he mutters . '' What '' Eris asks . Luke takes out his phone but there was no network available because of all the heavy rain and lightning also had started .
Eris got afraid of it . She also checked her phone but no network available to both can't call anyone for help now . ''' Now what we do now /'' Luke thought to himself .
The lightning strikes were now intense along with the power cut , Eris got all afrid and was now a little bit closer to him now . ''' She still seems to be afraid of lightning and dark now just like old times '' he thought to himself . '' What are you thinking you fool ? don't get afraid of it it's just a little lightning be strong '' she encourages herself .
Right at the moment there was another strike and a big one . Eris became really much afraid she shouted and hugged onto Luke's body tightly . He didn't wanted to but he felt like as if he should protect her so he patted her head . Eris got aware of this so she got away . '' I am sorry '' she apologized .
'' it's alright i know you are afraid of lightning and dark just like old times ..... '' he blurted out ... ''' Wait old times ? .... do i know you before ? .... '' she asks . '' Well no it's just i know anyway ;''' he tries to drop the subject '' how to get away from here ? there doesn't seem to be here ? ''
'' I don;t know you think of something you are intelligent right |? '' she remarks sarcastically . '' Well now we need to wait for help to arrive and the rain won'\t stop anytime soon , you suggest what should we do ? '' he asks looking at her .
'' Well ..... we can talk then.... i won't feel afraid and won't hug onto you '' she mutters . '' Talk ? about what ? if you want you can hug onto m i don't mind '' he remarks opening hiss arms and asking for her to hold onto her . '' Huh ... why would i do that ? what am i to you ? '' she utters in a low voice raising her eyes to meet his gaze .
'' now that's a mystery , cause ... nevermind '' he asserts . ''' How are you doing ? i mean your family and all ? '' he asks . '' They are ... doing well dad's health is very much well now and everyone is happy now . what about you ? how are you doing ? ''she asks without looking at him .
'' I .. i am well everyone is excited about our marriage and all granny seems to be busy a lot these days and i ... '' he stops talking . '' what about you ? '' she asks . '' i ... don't know just living my life ... '' he mutters in a pessimistic tone .
'' why are you talking as if you are not happy with this marriage ? '' she asks . '' Happy ? well .. i don't know granny decide all of this i don't care about this marriage and all i don't care about anything only..... '' he stops midway . '' only ? '' she asks again . '' Nothing ''' he blurts out .
''' If you don;t want to marry then why are you doing this ? ''' she thoughts to herself . '' no one is forcing you right ? and who i am to blame ? i am marrying without my own will too ? hey how did things became like this between us that we can't say anything honestly what;s in our heart ? '' .
'' I am also getting married too with the chief of my department and the marriage is tomorrow what a coincidence right ? '' she says while trying to laugh . '' OH great congratulations , i bet he's a great man unlike me kind and gentle and handsome ? ' he asks in a depressed voice . '' Ah hmm yes yes he is he takes care of me a lot and also looks after my family he's a great guy everyone in my family likes him '' she remarks . '' what about you ? do you like him ? '' she asks . '' well .... i guess after all i wouldn't want to marry him '' she replies .
'' sorry forgive me for telling you a lie but if i say the truth you will be bound by me and everyone around me would thought that i am marrying you for your money i don't want that so you should be happy with her '' . '' i have never lied to you please forgive me for thee lies '' .
'' we met after so long and now she''s telling me that she's getting married without me knowing ? so she's starting to really forget about me after all ? i was a fool ot think that she till likes me ? i should be ashamed of myself ''' . '' So you want to get free from me then i will free you live however you want be happy , '' he thoughts to himself .
Another lightning strike then Eris holds onto him . She was also shivering because of the rainy weather .Luke gave him the coat he was wearing '' you can keep it '' . '' i hope you be happy in your married life '' he says . '' You too bee happy with her and live happily ever after '' she says .
'' The distance between our hears will always stay the same with truths and lies not being able to tell our real feelings ? will we be happy like this ? you and me ? '' she asked herself .
'' yes we will cause this is our own decision we need to be happy , but no matter what happens i won't be able to forget about you never ''' he thoughts .
'' Nor will i forget about you cause i still love you just like the boy in my past when we were little i still feel sad about rejecting him , back then too i wasn't honest about my feelings nor am i today irony repeats itself '' she asserts .
'' When will this rain stop ? '' both said at the same time . '' I guess it wants to trap us both here .... for all eternity '' she murmurs . '' Eternity is too much time '' he remarks . It was afternoon now the rain was starting to stop a little and they could hear some noise nearby , sounds of people .
' I hope help will come eventually ... but i don't mind if no one comes to help us i get to spend this little time along with her that;'s all that matters '' he thought to himself smiling .
'' Let this rain go on forever , so we can get stuck in here , please god '' she also prayed .
At this time James and Natasha both were in the office and they were on the 14th floor sneaking behind everyone's back they were making out using the power cut as an excuse . They also wanted to head downstairs right at the moment electricity came back and the lift started again .
'' Why did the lift had to start up again ? at this rate we won't see each other again no i don't want this '' he prayed in his heart . '' Guess the power supply had came back now wee can get out of here ' he asserts . '' yes we can '' she mutters .
When they reach 14th floor they were both surprised to see Natasha and James waiting there . Both of them were surprised seeing the opposite party with each other . '' This is the final goodbye '' they take one final glance at each other .
