Chapter 189: Chapter 189

"You have no idea how much I've missed this," I sighed happily as I snuggled up in between my two girlfriends. "Or how much I missed you two."

Rebecca was cuddled against my left side while Sarah lay pressed against me on the right. The tall sexy redhead had an arm draped across my belly while my tail wrapped around one of her legs. And my legs were intertwined with those of the the cute blonde.

The three of us were in the boss's bed for a change. We'd be sharing her quarters for the next few days, because my and Sarah's cabin was temporarily occupied by Lady Magniveen. Not that I was going to complain, and neither of my girlfriends seemed to mind either. In fact I was pretty sure all three of us were happy for the excuse to spend more time together, after being apart for so long.

"We missed you too cutie," Sarah whispered. She couldn't help teasing though, "Mind you, I did my best to make sure Rebecca and I weren't too lonely while you were gone."

The boss moved her arm off my tummy and gave our engineer a playful smack on the arm as she grumbled, "Shush you, don't spoil the moment."

Then as her arm settled back down just below my breasts Rebecca added quietly, "Unless you kids are up for another round, maybe we should try and get some sleep? I don't know about you Amanda but we've had a long day. From Ganvis this morning, to meetings on the Tullrohane, to rushing out here to see you."

Without even looking I could tell Sarah was smirking just from her tone as she responded, "Sounds like gramma needs her sleep. That's ok, we can save the rest for tomorrow morning."

"Considering you're the only one of us who's actually got a granddaughter," Rebecca started.

I didn't let her finish. Instead I gave both of them a gentle squeeze and whispered, "Hush, the pair of you. This little fox is long overdue for a nice sleep with her two girlfriends."

To make sure they got the point I backed up my statement by giving them both kisses, and that was the end of their teasing and pretend-bickering. After that it didn't take long before I drifted off to sleep in my girlfriends' arms, with a happy smile on my face and some quiet foxy purrs rumbling in my chest.

I had a perfect night, sleeping with my girlfriends again was like a little taste of paradise after all the stress of the past few days.

All three of us woke bright and early the following morning, but Sarah made good on her promise so none of us actually got up for a couple more hours. When the time did finally come I was the first one out of bed. After carefully extracting myself from my girlfriends' arms I made my way into the captain's washroom, where I enjoyed a nice long hot shower.

"I didn't realize how much I missed that too," I commented as I emerged from the washroom wrapped up in a couple towels. "The sonic shower on the Artemis might be faster and more efficient, but nothing really compares to the feeling of hot water on bare skin."

"I'm glad you enjoyed it Amanda. I just hope you didn't clog anything up with all that floofy fur of yours," Rebecca replied with a smile. She and Sarah were still in bed, but they were both sitting up like they'd been talking or just taking it easy.

I stuck my tongue out at the sexy redhead then pounced onto the bed and positioned myself on my knees so my tail was almost in my girlfriends' faces. Then I looked over my shoulder and suggested, "Why don't you two take turns brushing my floof? That's the best way to ensure there aren't any clogs. Or knots or tangles."

"This is the part they don't tell you about when you get an emotional support fox," Sarah teased. "They're so demanding when it comes to maintenance and upkeep."

Rebecca agreed, "I had exactly the same reaction about getting a ship's mascot. Sure they're cute and cuddly, but all that floof comes at a price."

Despite the teasing and the pretend complaints it wasn't long before I felt their hands on my tail, followed by two brushes moving through the fur. Sarah was working around the base while Rebecca focused on the tip, and I was in heaven once again. The pair traded positions after a while, and between the two of them my floof was back in pristine condition soon enough.

At long last I reluctantly got dressed, then while my girlfriends took turns getting freshened up I headed to the galley to see about breakfast. Or brunch, considering the time. There was no sign of the ship's other polycule, but I did find our guest sitting by herself in the lounge area.

"Good morning Gwen," I greeted her as I moved to stand in the doorway. "I was just about to start fixing some brunch, were you interested?"

She looked up from the datapad she'd been reading and replied, "No thank you Amanda. I had breakfast earlier with Cammie."

I nodded, "Alright. Could I at least interest you in some coffee?"

"And you wouldn't happen to know where Cam and the twins are, would you?" I added.

The noblewoman's cheeks flushed slightly as she replied, "The three of them retired to their cabin after they determined that the rest of you weren't going to be up any time soon. And thank you, coffee would be appreciated."

"Coming right up," I smiled.

I got her beverage first, then fixed one for myself and finally two more for my girlfriends. Then I took a minute or two to figure out what sort of supplies we had in the galley, before getting started on a nice mid-morning meal.

"Coffee's waiting on the table," I announced when Rebecca and Sarah finally joined me. "I'll have brunch ready in another five minutes or so."

"Thanks cutie," Sarah smiled as she scooped up her morning drink.

Then while my girlfriends got settled at the table I commented, "I know we've been avoiding Ecclestone's World, and for good reason, but I sure do miss loading up the galley with meat from Gilly's restaurant. Actually for that matter I also miss getting dinner there. And all the leftovers we usually end up with."

"Same," Rebecca sighed.

"It's been what, a quarter of a year now since the Kelsonian estate had their little accident?" she added in a quiet thoughtful tone. "Maybe that's long enough for things to quiet down."

She paused for another sip of coffee then shrugged, "I'll think about it anyhow. Either way we've got more pressing matters to deal with first."

"Right!" Sarah agreed. "Like what are we going to do with the rest of our day? How do you two feel about a picnic out at that nature reserve? That's almost as much of a tradition by now as dinner at Gilly's."

The boss smiled, "Not what I was talking about, but alright Sarah. I'm up for a little fresh air and nature this afternoon. We'll have to invite Cammie and Jenna. And Gwen too, so she's not cooped up in the ship the whole time."

Our guest spoke up from the lounge, "I wouldn't want to impose on any of your highness's private family customs."

"Nonsense," Rebecca rolled her eyes. "We've already been over this Gwen. I get that you're supposed to be my royal secretary and you have all that protocol stuff to worry about, but this isn't the Tullrohane and it's not some official Vysalis thing either. This ship is my home, and everyone on her is either family or a friend."

The redhead continued, "And it's not even that much of a tradition. It's just a picnic in a pretty location south of the city. We've done it what, twice now? Or three times? Anyways I'm not going to force you to go if you really don't want to, but you're welcome to join us. There'll be fresh air, a nice view, and some good food and drinks."

"We probably won't be going for at least a few hours anyways," I added as I finally served up brunch for the three of us. "So you don't need to make up your mind just yet."

Gwen conceded, "Very well, I shall keep it in mind. For now though I'm going to continue studying these reports the Deveronian government provided."

With that our guest returned to her reading, while my girlfriends and I got started on the food. It wasn't anything too special, I'd fixed up some cheese omelettes along with potato pancakes and some toast.

"This is great Amanda," Rebecca commented between bites.

Sarah nodded, "I almost forgot what it was like having our regular cook on board."

I blushed but smiled, "I'm glad you're both enjoying it."

After breakfast Sarah helped me tidy up, then the two of us ended up taking the grav-sled into the city for a little shopping expedition.

As much as I enjoyed all the fresh Deveronian produce, the ship's pantry was distinctly lacking in one category. And despite what Jenny said about foxes not being carnivores, I really wanted some meat in my diet. It cost at least four times as much buying it here on Rolandan-2, but I splurged on enough Ecclestonian beef and pork to last the Demeter ten or twelve days.

Sarah and I also visited some of the street vendors around the city's central park area, and stocked up on a wide variety of fun and tasty-looking foods to take on our picnic. We also filled a cooler with an assortment of beverages, so we were all set for later.

And finally my cute but perverted blonde girlfriend insisted on a visit to the city's red light district, so she could pick up an armload of goodies to help her and Rebecca celebrate my return to the Demeter.

When we got back to the ship we found Cammie and the twins had finally emerged from their cabin. The catgirl and her android girlfriend helped me get the supplies stowed in the ship's galley, while Sarah hid all her purchases away in the captain's cabin.

By that point it was mid afternoon, and I was ready to head back out to the nature reserve. I looked around at the others and asked, "So who's up for a picnic? Sarah and I already took care of the food and drinks, it's all ready to go in the grav-sled."

"I'm looking forward to it," Cammie announced with a smile, and from the way her ears and tail were all standing up I knew she meant it. Although her ears drooped a moment later when she turned to her AI girlfriend and added, "I'm just sorry we haven't figured out a way to bring you along too Jenny."

The hologram smiled, "It's alright Cam. You and Jenna go have enough fun for the three of us, then you can fill me in on all the details when you get back."

"Don't worry sis, we will!" the android promised.

Rebecca was ready to go as well, so that just left our guest. Gwen still seemed reluctant at first, but it didn't actually take much convincing before she agreed to come along.

Sarah and Cam only needed a minute to install the temporary bench seat in the cargo area at the back, then all six of us squeezed into the sled. The boss took the controls this time while I sat next to her. Gwen and Sarah were in the second row, while Cam and Jenna sat in the very back.

Just like on our previous visits Rebecca treated us all to another fly-by of the waterfall when we reached the wilderness area, then we cruised low over the churning river as it flowed down the length of the valley. Even though I'd seen it all before I still enjoyed the scenic flight almost as much as the first time. Content orıginally comes from novel★fire.net

From the looks on Cammie's and Jenna's faces they felt the same way as me. Even Lady Magniveen seemed impressed by the view. We eventually picked a spot to land, where we had a good view of both the river and the waterfall. Then we got out the food and set up our picnic.

This time Jenna sat with the rest of us while we ate, but as soon as Cammie was finished the two of them excused themselves and wandered off barefoot together. I hadn't forgotten how important this place was to our android, and it was nice seeing her reliving that moment with her girlfriend.

Meanwhile my girlfriends and I all sat a little closer together, so the three of us could cuddle some more while we enjoyed our drinks.

"Thank you for inviting me," Gwen commented eventually. "I honestly wasn't expecting to see a place out here. It's very pretty, and relaxing."

After a slight pause she admitted, "It also makes me a little homesick, to be honest."

"Is Vysalis-4 ?" I asked as I tilted my head to one side.

The noblewoman replied, "Not all of it, but we do have plenty of mountains and rivers. Lots of water in fact, lakes and seas and oceans. This park in particular though... there's a valley not far from where I grew up, so being here reminds me of home."

"It's nice," she added after another second or two. "A little pocket of paradise, surrounded by all the steel and concrete of the cities and industries."

I nodded, "I like coming out here every now and then, away from ships and buildings and crowds."

"I'm actually surprised the place isn't more popular," Sarah commented. "I wonder how many of the locals even know it's here."

Rebecca shrugged, "No idea. I don't remember if I've ever mentioned it to Tamsin. Or if she'd be interested."

"I'd kind of like to bring my sister here some time," I said. A moment later I grimaced, "Then again, I have a feeling she'd rather spend her shore leave dancing and partying. She'd probably find all this nature and solitude boring."

The tall beautiful redhead looked thoughtful as she had another sip of her drink. Then she grinned at Sarah and I, "That actually sounds like a good way to round out the day. How do you two feel about visiting a club and doing some dancing, after we've had our fill of all this nature and solitude?"

"Works for me," the cute blonde replied with a smile of her own.

My ears folded back when I considered the noise, but thinking about seeing my girlfriends in sexy dresses on the dance floor got my tail wagging.

"Yeah ok," I smiled. "I'm in."
