Chapter 33: Chapter 33

Olivia's pov:

After taking a good look at Nikita's death stare, all the laughter within me drained out. I stood quietly with my head lowered towards the wooden floor.

Embarrassed, Nikita ran off the stage while giving me a slight push as she passed by me.

Guilt started taking over me and I realized how bad of a friend I was, and I needed to apologize to her.

She had been nothing but kind to me and the fact that I took it all for granted, hurt me.

The host walked up on and called up another creator to perform on stage.

I utilized this opportunity to run and find Nikita before I get called up next.

The first place that came to my mind was her booth so that's where I was headed off to.

I walked through the deserted area of the booths which had been cleaned thoroughly by the cleaners.

It looked night and day as compared to the scenario before. I was quite impressed, but I didn't have time to admire the cleaning! I had to get to Nikita as quickly as possible.

Approaching her vibrant, over the top booth, I saw her at the back of the booth completely trashing a few items, including her own merchandise.

Despite how scared and afraid I was of her anger; I proceeded to move forward and confront her.

"Nikita?" I asked as she let out a few screams while punching her chair's cushion.

She stopped suddenly and turned her body around with a jerk.

She looked like she wanted to end my life on the spot! Not to mention her bloodshot eyes made it worse!

I gulped the accumulated saliva in my mouth and took a deep breath while fidgeting with my fingers.

She walked up towards me as she threw the cushion onto the floor.

I was intimidated as she reached close to me. I was debating whether to talk to an angry Nikita was a good idea or not, but I didn't walk away.

"What have you come here for? To laugh in my face?"

I inhaled and exhaled before mustering the courage to speak with her. In my eyes, she looked like an angry wildebeest!

I formed my hands into a fist as my body contracted.

"W-we-well I hav-have come here to speak about that." I stuttered as I tried to make eye contact with her.

Nikita was standing still with no movement whatsoever. The only thing that was moving was her diamond earrings that were glistening in the light.

"Nikita, I apologize for what I had done earlier..."

"You have always been a great friend to me and what I did was unacceptable. Please forgive me!" I begged of her.

I looked up to her face as I had witnessed a few minutes of silence from her part. I was confused as she didn't even let out a scream.

She just stood there scanning my face.

Finally, I noticed that her sealed lips started to unlock.

"It's.....ok" she said.

My eyes popped with joy. I was so grateful that she forgave me. I really didn't deserve a friend like her.

My legs jumped as my arms stretched to give her a big hug.

My hug was cut short as we heard the announcement, "The next creator up is Olivia Adams!"

I broke open my hug and smiled at Nikita before running off to the stage where the crowd was eagerly waiting for my arrival.

As soon as I made an appearance on stage, the crowd went wild! The whole room was filled with whistles and cheer.

It felt so surreal to see so many people supporting me. I really wished that the people I loved dearly were present here to witness this!

I become emotional due to the outpouring love and support from my audience.

I placed the microphone close to my lip stick coated lips and began to speak.

"Hey everyone! I'm so happy to see you guys!"

With that, I began to talk about my journey as a YouTuber. I touched on creative as well as technical subjects even though technology was my weakest field.

From the expression of the crowd, I could see that people were beginning to appreciate us creators. They were able to understand in depth about what it takes to create content.

I was talking about the ups of my life and the many goals that I had reached and that kicked up my career.

I was very hesitant to talk about my downs. Even though I really wanted to speak about that, I did my best to avoid going into that zone.

I knew deep down that if I were to open up about such devastating subjects, the joy and spirit of the event would die down and that was not what I wanted.

However, soon as my eyes laid on Sam and Jack who were present amongst the crowd, my confidence began to fade.

All the bad memories began to resurface in my mind, and I couldn't concentrate on my speech that everyone was glued to.

To prevent any controversy or drama, I did my best to collect myself and present myself as a happy and cheerful person in front of the audience.

Although on the inside, I was suffocated. I wanted to scream into the microphone to ask Jack my question. I was desperate for

answers.

Throughout the entire session, my eyes couldn't help but keep on taking a glance at the both of them.

This made things even worse for me. But luckily, I was able to hide those feelings within me.

A few minutes later, I concluded the speech with a heartfelt thank you.

As I was walking down the stage, I couldn't take it anymore. I was feeling so suffocated that I felt I would pass out on the spot.

I was in need for fresh air, so I began walking away from the crowd towards the exit.

I picked up the pace as I was passing through the deserted booth area as my lungs were in dire need for air.

As I was running with my eyes closed towards the exit, I bumped into someone along the way.

Luckily, we didn't make any impact on the ground and it was just a light bump.

But I was left shocked when I realized that the person I ran into was Jessica.

She too had a shocked expression on her face while her earphones were fallen off of her ear holes.

We didn't get any time to react to our sudden meet-up when suddenly we heard a strange honk coming our way.

We turned our backs towards the opposite direction, only to find a golf cart that was used to help people reach different areas of the center as it was super huge.

The cart was coming at a very unusual speed that we didn't get time to jump out of the way and Jessica and I both were flung up in the air and onto the ground, leaving us injured and unconscious.
