Ingrid's POV

"Ingrid," Alexandro called me as I arranged my things. I turned to him because of that. He did not speak immediately. A few more thoughts were made before his mouth finally opened.

"Can you come with me right now?" he asked me.

“Hey, Alexandro finally move! For the past four years, you only had the courage now! ” some of my block mates said. I just frowned as I listened to them.

“It’s good that he’s moving now. What about you, Tres, when?” they asked with a laugh.

"Fuck you." I even heard him say that.

"What is it, Alexandro?" I asked because I was losing my temper. He's thinking too much before speaking. I need to go home, I still have a lot of work to do.

"Uh… sorry about that," he said shyly. I just nodded.

“Do you want to go with me? Our family is looking for children who want to study and I know that you are often on the same street we went to years ago,” he said. I stopped putting my things in the bag because of that. I felt excited because of what he said.

"Really? Of course, I can go with you!” I said smiling at him. Cheska will definitely be happy just in case. They want to study. They are really determined.

"Yes, Papa's charity is looking for 5 students and I know you have some recommendations," he said to me so I immediately nodded.

"Let's go?" Alexandro asked me.

"Right now?" I ask. He nodded at me because of that.

"I'm sorry if it's sudden. I was just told now," he told me.

"Ah, it's fine," I said, smiling at him. Still not losing the excitement felt.

"I'll hold it for you," he said, trying to take what I was holding but I just shake my head and smiled at him.

“No, it’s fine. I can hold it. Thank you,” I said before continuing to walk. I saw him slightly smiling before accompanying me.

I even overheard Steffanie talking as we passed in front of them.

"What a slut! He already has a boyfriend but she's still flirting," she said so I couldn't help but look at her. I don't know if it's for me but obviously, by her looks, I was the one they were talking about.

"It's true. Always pretend to be innocent but the truth is she also has a monster hiding in her," her friends added. I didn't have time to even give them my attention so I just ignore that.

"Steffanie is always insecure about you. She's always mad at you," Alexandro said to me. I did not speak because I was aware of it. They say man matures through time but why didn't it affect Steffanie at all?

"Would you like to eat first?" Alexandro asked me. I shook my head. I also want to hurry because Indigo and I still have a date after this. I promised him a date even though we were just at home.

I got in Alexandro's car. Before finally going to the usual place where the children are staying, he picked up a woman who seemed to have some information about Cheska.

"Hi, I'm Yanie," she introduced herself before holding out her hand to me.

"Ingrid," I said, accepting her hand to me.

"Oh, you're the one my cousin keeps on talking about!" She smiled but Alexandro scolded her. She chuckled because of it.

She started asking questions about the children. I couldn't help but have fun while talking to her. She's just really nice.

“Yup! You said it right! Even those kids on the mountain? They are diligent in their study. The unfair thing is those who are determined to study, they one who was derived from the resources and opportunity,” he said.

“And sometimes, those who have one, are the ones who just take it for granted,” I couldn't help but say.

"Right?!" she said. She's actually fun to talk with because she's already been to many places just to teach. I also found out that Alexandro’s Dad owns a school. They are also looking for students who want to study every year.

"So that's why you took education?" I curiously asked Alexandro who was just listening to us.

“It's against his will! He doesn't want to be a teacher! He said that the salary is said to be low,” Yanie said. At first, I was like that too. But as time went on, I just liked my course even more. Maybe it was really my calling.

“You're ruining my image. Of course not! I really want to teach children," Alexandro said and smiled.

“You are plastic! Just because your crush is just here,” Yanie said with a laugh.

"Shut up, Yanie," Alexandro said who can't look at me anymore. I'm not stupid not to know that I'm that crush that Yanie is referring to. I just slightly smile at Alexandro because I also don't know what to say. When Indigo will hear about this, he would repeatedly say that he was really right. I could hear his voice immediately.

When we got to the usual spot, I immediately saw Cheska there playing. I couldn't help but smile because they were just next to some books.

I was excited to go down to greet them.

"Hi," I greeted them so Cheska immediately come to me.

"Big Sister!" they said while running for a hug.

"I brought you a new book and I have some good news for you," I said with a smile. They immediately asked for good news. Ms. Yanie explained the news to them. These children are already abandoned so it was great to know that they will be taken to an orphanage and studied. I can't help but be happy to. There was a trace of joy on their faces that will also make you smile.

“Wow! Are we going to study now, Big Sister?” they asked. We nodded to them there. Still not losing our smiles.

“We are excited to study! Thank you very much po!" they said. There is still a lot to take care of taking custody of them but I am very happy because they will be given a good place to live.

"For now, let's eat," Yanie said. They also brought food for the children. Delight can also be seen on her lips. I just smiled as I watched them.

"Ingrid, eat first," Alexandro said. I accepted the snack but I didn't really stop talking with the kids.

"Once you start, I'll buy you a notebook and pencils," I said with a smile.

"As long as you study hard," I added. They nodded one after another.

"Do we get to know many classmates, Big Sister?" they asked. I smiled before nodding.

"Yes, I'm also sure that you will have many friends," I said although I, myself did not have any friends at school or maybe I had but it didn't last for so long.

I just enjoyed talking to kids until it was already time to go home.

“Bye, Big Sister! Take care!" they said goodbye while waving at us. I smiled broadly before greeting them back.

I stopped when I was about to ride in Alexandro's car when I thought about something.

"Shit." I didn't send a message to Indigo. I was so excited about the news for the kids.

"Why?" Alexandro asked me. I even looked at the phone because it was already dead. Sandro used it earlier.

“Can I use your phone?” I asked him.

"Why?" he asked me.

"I need to call someone," I said.

"Oh, your boyfriend?" I immediately nodded there.

"Sorry but dead bat," he said to me so I couldn't help but look at him. I just sighed and finally nodded.

"Shall we take you to your house?" he asked. I immediately shook my head.

"At school," I said because Indigo might still be there. While in the car I just play with my fingers. I'm nervous about Indigo's reaction.

"Are you sure that you don't want me to drop you in your house?" he asked. I just shook my head. He kept looking at me but I eventually just ignored him.

"We're here," I said when I arrived at the school.

“Thank you, Yanie, Alexandro. Thanks for giving hope to the children, I am the first, ”I said as I hurried to get out of the car. Alexandro also came down just to open the door for me.

I immediately saw Indigo there. He’s talking to Manong but his eyes went straight to me. He even looked at Alexandro next to me. His eyebrow rose slightly.

“I'm sorry, Bro, Ingrid and I had a sudden thing to do. We didn't have the chance to say goodbye to you anymore,” Alexandro said who followed me. I just closed my eyes because of that. I want to get rid of him. I just don't know-how.

Indigo's expression darkened because of that. I can also see his frown. I'm just biting my lips. I feel like his stare can bite into my bone and I didn’t know how to avoid him.

“Sorry again, Bro. I would have just dropped her home but she doesn't want to," Alexandro said who even patted Indigo on the arm. Indigo didn't seem happy with the incident.

“Bye, Ingrid. I really had fun. I hope you enjoy it,” he said, still smiling at me. I just slightly smile before looking at Indigo.

"Let's go?" I asked Indigo who just kept his eyes sharp. I swallowed multiple times. I feel thirsty even though I have water in my hand.

“Oh, dear, Sir Indigo dials a lot of people just to call you, Ma'am. He thought that something already happened to you,” Manong said. I don't know what to say because of that.

"We're going first, Manong Jude. Sorry for the inconvenience," Indigo said to Manong. When he turned his gaze to me, his eye returned like a blade.

"Come on," he coldly said before he took my bag. He looked like a volcano that was about to erupt. I just bite my lips before following him.

While we are in the jeep, we remain quiet. Even though he looked angry, he still protect my legs because I'm wearing a skirt.

"I'm sorry, did you wait for so long?" I asked him even though he just looked straight ahead. Obviously, Ingrid. You fool.

He did not speak. He just remained staring at the road as if he didn't hear me at all.

"Oh, LQ." I heard a whisper next to him.

When we got off, I just kept talking to him.

“I'm sorry, it was really sudden. I can't refuse because it's a scholarship for the children,” I explained to him.

“You should have texted me! What do I know if you were kidnapped by gangsters or mafia there?” he told me. I know he's serious but I can't help but laugh because of what he said.

"Are you seriously laughing right now?" he asked while glaring at me. I pouted to stop laughing because he was really angry.

"I'm not joking around," he said before rolling his eyes and walking towards the house. He went to his apartment now. He's really annoyed. I pouted when I went to the apartment. I saw that my siblings were busy with their assignments.

“Big Sister, Big Brother Indigo was looking for you here earlier. Where have you been?" they asked me.

"To cheska. They will be given a scholarship." I was even able to tell a story even though I have someone who I need to coax. I don't usually text while charging but I also can't control myself.

He really doesn't reply to any of my texts. Nor did he really go to our house to eat.

I didn't expect that we would go to work together but when I came out I couldn't help but smile because even though he was angry, I couldn't bear to go with me.
