Chapter 14: Chapter 14

Ingrid's POV

"Thank you," he thanked me when I caught him looking at me. I should be the one saying thank you to him. Even upon enrollment, he accompanied me.

"Thank you," I said but he just smiled at me.

"Damn, don't smile at me like that. I'll fall," he said with a shrug. I can't help but smile at him. Damn him too. Same here.

'Shit, Ingrid, you're really in danger.'

"Let's go?" he asked me. I immediately nodded. We will now look for wholesalers if we sell clothes and we'll sell it online.

I gasped to suppress my smile when I saw the umbrella that Indigo was carrying. We used it while walking in the heat.

"Are you really sure you can do this?" I asked him.

"Of course?" he asked and promised me.

We were ready and sweaty when we finished and also found a sale. We looked for a high-quality and cheap product. It's unfair because he still smells so good despite us being tired from walking around the market.

"My foot hurt a bit there," I laughed as I sat down.

"Let me see," he said and was about to look at it but because my socks had holes, I immediately hid them when he took off my shoes.

“What is it? What do you think we are in the teleserye?” I laughed at the question before he glared because he saw the blister on my feet.

“It’s fine, I don’t judge. What is not fine is your blister,” he said before trying to apply a band-aid. I can't stop smiling secretly because of that. Annoying because I said, I will never trust anyone again but here I am now, smiling because of this man's small gesture.

"So, my house or yours?" he asked me as we both fell silent.

"At our house, I think," I said because apart from being more comfortable there, I could also watch over my siblings. Also, it's scary to go to his house, I was scared that he'll be a bad person, which I highly doubt. But of course, I'm still going to be careful even though I've known him for a few months now.

When we got home, my brothers and sisters greeted me immediately.

“Did you buy it, Big Sister? How much? I will also sell to my classmates!” Irah said to me. I messed up his hair. This sister of mine is really a businessman.

They soon turned to Indigo. At the same time, their eyes narrowed as they looked at him.

“Who is that, Big Sister? Your boyfriend?" Sandro asked me.

"Sadly, no," Indigo said so I glared at him.

"I'm your big sister's business partner slash bestie." He introduced himself so I couldn't help but laugh especially when my siblings raised their eyebrows at him as if they were also examining him.

"Are you a cheater, Big Brother?" Irah asked so my eyes widened and I even frowned at her.

"I'm just a handsome, not a cheater," he said so I couldn't help but shake my head. We went inside while my siblings were just trying to ask Indigo. He's kinda good with kids, he's child-minded as well. He's always childish, that's why I don't really get shock that he's kind around kids.

I just greeted Mama too. Indigo peeked there. He was slightly startled and looked back and forth between the two of us.

"My Mom been paralyzed for years now," I said, so he looked at Mama before he greeted her.

"Nice to meet you, Auntie. I'm Indigo, Ingrid's friend," he introduced himself before he stared at me.

"Don't feel sorry for me, I'm happy with my life," I said, averting my eyes because I didn't know what he was thinking. I don't know if I really mean what I said.

“Why would I? I just can't help but admire you. You're really strong, you know,” he said, smiling at me. He even managed to mess up my hair because of that.

"Let's eat first," I changed the topic. I'm just not used to being praised like this. He smiled at me before nodding.

We also started eating eventually. We just bought a dish outside so it will be less hassle. It's even more tiring to cook.

My siblings are talking to him. He answers that even if what they are saying is random. He's also random that's why.

When I finished eating, Indigo help me to wash the dishes. Then we went to the living room just to fix the groceries.

In the next few days, we will start so he also goes to the house more often to fix the things that needed to be fixed.

The day of live selling also came. Our belongings were set up while he was ready as well. I was just looking at his phone when he started to press live. Irah and Sandro were also curious as they looked at us but they just remained seated from a distance.

Later, Indigo started. It only took a few seconds for him to gain viewers. I didn't know he had a lot of friends. Right. He's really friendly.

"Press mine 16, loads," he said. The comment flooded in and others laughed along. I don't know if those are true or not.

“You idiots, I'm serious with this one! They look like fools, oh!” he complained to his friends so I couldn’t help but laugh. He looks very upset about this because his friends can't take him seriously. I also patted him because Irah and Sandro giggled, it's forbidden to swear in this house.

He turned to me before he managed to look back at his phone.

“What? Are you going to buy it or not?” he asked while still frowning.

"That's not how you should sell, you look crazy," I said while shaking my head at him.

"Mine your face," he said after reading a comment from his friends.

Benz: Mine to the one who speaks!

Carver Garcia: Hey, who's that? Seems like you're having a good time! Hope all!

I was a little embarrassed because of that. The whole live, I remained quiet. I handed him water because it was tiring to talk in front of the phone even if the people were far away.

"Thank you," I couldn't help but say so he laughed at me before he messed up my hair.

"You're welcome. I hope they really take it otherwise I won't be able to face you anymore,” he said so I just smiled as well. It was a big help that he used his Facebook account just to help me.

"Here, a lot of people are texting. You can reply at them," he said. It's okay with me, it's just that it's his Facebook account, I was just scared to look at his messenger, maybe he'll have confidential conversations here. He turned to me.

"Are you sure? Maybe there are important messages?” I ask.

"There's none. It's completely fine," he said, giving his phone back to me. I accepted it while still looking at him. He just smiled at me before shrugging his shoulder.

When I opened his messenger, I immediately saw all the incoming messages. I looked at them one by one. Some ask if it's true, others just tease and mostly was just greeting him.

Every time I read something, I feel guilty because I feel that his privacy is being violated. I also showed him that. He just says that I don't have to reply. There are many messages requests that he doesn't even pay attention to. He really has a lot of friends. Some are still asking if Indigo will be the one who will deliver. Looks like they'll buy it as long as he goes there.

Eventually, there were so many products we sold. We started to wrap some clothes because some already paid. The others are already ready to ship.

"Thank you very much." I don't know how to thank him.

"You're crazy, we're both doing business here, it's not possible if it's not because of us," he said, still shaking his head. Well, that's true too but I was just really thankful for him.

"Let's make a page?" I asked him. He stepped beside me when I finished wrapping.

"I kinda know how to edit," I said. Even though I don't have a phone, I know how to do it, especially when my classmate in senior high pay me to edit their projects.

"Okay, I'll just leave my phone here," he said to me so my eyes immediately widened. I knew it was expensive so I couldn’t fully imagine him leaving it here. What if I lost it? What if I damaged it? Stolen?

"Why?" he asked me. He was even able to really ask such a question.

“Can I just edit later when you're here? I'm afraid of losing your phone,” I said.

“I know you always want the job to be done right away. You can't sleep until you're done, right?" He laughed out loud. I remember that I told him I couldn't sleep until I finished work.

"What if you have important messages?" I asked him.

“It’s fine. I also have a cellphone at home,” he said so I couldn't believe I looked at him.

"What if I preview important messages?" I ask.

"It depends if you'll message me," he said so my lips parted before I frowned at him.

"Huh?" He just laughed and shrugged.

“Do you even have Facebook? It's hard to find you,” he said while laughing.

"I don't have that," I said. I also don't have time to hang out on those social media accounts.

“Do you want me to make you one?” he asked. I just shook my head. I also don't have a cellphone available for that.

"Just call this number if you need something," he said, pointing to the number on his other phone. Now, I'm not really surprised, this one is really rich.

“Big Brother! Can we borrow it too? Can I play games?" my siblings asked so I couldn't help but narrow my eyes at them. Indigo smiled because of that.

"Of course, no problem," he said but I was the one who spoke.

"No, I'll return it tomorrow," I said. I feel bad for my siblings but we can't afford to pay for it if we ever lose it.

"It's fine, Ingrid, give it to your siblings," he said to me with another smile. I shook my head.

"Let me buy you next time, I'll give it to you as a gift," he said while smiling at them. My siblings nodded as I immediately shook my head.

"We will not accept that, Indigo," I said so Indigo immediately said something.

"It's up to you, but I'm true to my words," he said.

"I'm the same," I insisted. He has helped me a lot. I just don’t want to add more although I really like how it feels to have someone to lean on.

When he left, everyone was fine now. I am already ready to edit with its phone. When I was in the room, I've already started doing that. I was already busy when I saw a call from a woman.

Melchora Benavidez.

She's pretty based on her profile. The makeup on her face looks so good. I was scared to answer that so I just watched the phone ringing. Maybe it was his girlfriend. How can I explain here that I have her boyfriend’s cellphone, right?

I was so nervous that I just called Indigo's number, it's a good thing his phone really has a load.

"Hello?" I greet him from the other line of the phone. It was long before he answered.

“Hey,” she said.

"Someone called me, it's your girlfriend," I said, still biting my lip.

“Girlfriend? I don't have a girlfriend. It depends if you want to be one. ”
