Chapter 8: Chapter 8

Von POV

I stopped my car opposite a large black house. I looked out the window at the house and could see how old it was.

Its gate is rusty and there are large grasses in the part of its garden that can be seen from here outside. The color of the fountain in the middle with no water has also faded.

"Is this what you're looking for?" Aphrodite asked me. I looked at her and smiled.

"Hopefully," I replied and got out of the car.

I watched the whole black house. I smiled when I remembered how Lit told me this story before.

"Really?" I asked while looking at her face.

"Yes, I don't know but I don't like that black house. Apart from the ugly color of the interior, there are also a lot of wonders that happen." She said and grinned.

"Do you know I was surprised when the hotdog I was cooking suddenly floated, eh I'm the only one in that house? What I did was I transformed into a bat and then flew to my room, I didn't even kill the gas stove. " She told a story.

"HAHAHAHA how is that? It's good your house didn't burn down?" I asked.

"I also don't know but when they came- mama, I was just surprised there was food on the table and then mama thought I was the one who cooked it, they praised me so much because they said what I cooked was delicious eh I don't know how to cook." She told a story.

"HAHAHAHAHAH maybe your epic that day."

"Very much! Who wouldn't be epic if you saw the hotdog you're cooking suddenly float," she says.

"I think the one who floated is behind you."

"Von!" she shouted and hugged me so I smiled.

It's nice to go back to that day. I tried to laugh at her because she didn't know that I was also the one who did it.

I still remember when I first saw him in City, we hadn't studied in vampire high that day when she hit me and she all apologized to me. She said the dog was chasing him so she was running and he didn't see me on the road.

When I first saw her I didn't know but I was immediately attracted to her eyes. So I followed her back to her house. Then the next day I asked Leona for an invisibility potion so that I could approach Lit even though she couldn't see me.

That very day I saw her in the kitchen cooking a hotdog. I just sat in the corner watching her and it was obvious to her that she didn't know how to cook.

She was even afraid that the oil would spill, so I approached her and saw that the hotdog was on fire so I quickly took the spatula and removed the hotdog from the pan.

I was surprised when she suddenly screamed and looked like a bat and then flew to the top. I just slapped myself when I remembered that I was invisible and Lit would be scared because she saw the hotdog floating. So all I did was cook her ten meals to make up for my threat to her.

When the first day I entered vampire high, I saw her talking to a female friend of her so I was relieved that I would see her inside Vampire High and there was a chance we would be close.

"Von?" I turned to my side, Aphrodite was already there and looking at me.

"Are you okay? You're suddenly stunned." She said. I just nodded.

"I saw an old woman earlier in there," she said.

"Maybe it's Lit's grandmother," I whispered and immediately approached the gate and rang the doorbell.

I still have to press the doorbell because it's old and rusty.

A few minutes later an old woman came out, this is probably what Aphrodite says she saw and this is probably Lit's grandmother.

"Good evening, how is Lit?" I asked.

"Good evening to you too, are you looking for Ma'am Lit? Ma'am hasn't come home here for a long time since she entered Vampire High and she hasn't come back here." Suddenly my mood changed. I thought I would see her. I thought she is Lit's grandmother.

Aphrodite looked at me.

"How about Lit's parents?" Aphrodite asked.

"Ah, are they señora? They haven't been here for a long time too. They've already decided to sell this house." I bowed to what I heard.

"Is that so? Do you know any other place where they might be?" Aphrodite asked again.

"They're at the White House in the northern part of this area at the top of that mountain." we look at what the old woman taught. The mountain of Hasaf.

"I think ma'am Lit went there when she got out of Vampire High. It's also her favorite place." Said the old woman. I smiled at the old woman.

"Thank you," I said and went back inside the car. Aphrodite followed me and sat quietly in her chair. She turned to me.

"You can find her too." She said and smiled.

"There's another place oh, maybe that's where you're looking for." She smiled as she says that. I just smiled hard and then made the car work.

I drove to the hotel where Aphrodite and I would be staying tonight. Tomorrow morning we will go to that White House.

I took a deep breath as I parked the car in the hotel parking lot.

I haven't even seen Lit yet. There are many more ways for me to see her.

"I won't stop until I find you, Mon Amour."

I hung out on the rooftop of the hotel for a beer. I'm still disappointed that I didn't see Lit earlier at their house. I thought I would see her right away.

I sighed, why did Lit take so long to come back to me? She said that after 5 years we will meet and when we meet we will plan our wedding.

I miss her so much.

"Von." I turned to the one who call me. Aphrodite.

She smiled and approached me.

"Why are you still awake?" I asked. I thought she was asleep so I didn't offer her to accompany me to drink here.

"I can't sleep," she replied and sat down next to me.

"You must have forced yourself to sleep, you must be tired today," I said while looking in front of me.

She did not answer so the surroundings became quiet.

"How bout you, why are you drinking here alone?" She asked.

"I'm just on a trip to drink," I replied and took a beer then offered it to her. She refused.

She looked at the sky while smiling.

"She's lucky." She said suddenly so I look at her. She smiled as she looked up at the sky but it was obvious in her eyes that she was hurting.

I just kept quiet because I didn't know what to say to her.

"What are you going to do when you see her?" She asked and turned to me.

I averted my eyes.

"Many," I replied and smiled.

"First I will hug her tightly. Second, I will kiss her on the lips, and third, we talk about our wedding." I added. She didn't answer so I looked at her. It was obvious in her eyes that she was hurting.

She smiled at me and it was obvious that she was trying to hide the pain.

"Do you love her?" She asked. I nodded.

"Why did you split up?" She asked. I was just looking at her face, I was reading if she was a masochist because even though she knew she would be hurt, she still asked the question of the things that would hurt her.

"Five years ago, after the trouble that happened between Clementine and Fin, Creed first came out to treat Clementine. Then Van and I followed Creed to help him treat Clementine. Before I left, she said goodbye to me when we came out. that after she came out of Vampire high, she will go home to her family first because she misses them so much. She also promised that she will come back to me but until now, she is still gone. "I said. A long silence enveloped the surroundings.

"Why did you think to look for her?" She asked while looking to the front.

I first drank the wine I was holding then answered her question.

"The watch she gave me, the hand stopped moving." My answer. She looked at me.

"She said when the hand of that watch stopped. Someone else was making her happy." I added, my chest tightening as I remembered the clock that the hand stopped moving. I couldn't help but think that maybe she was happy with the others now and she forgot me.

"What if someone else made her happy, what would you do?" I turned to Aphrodite because of her question.

What am I going to do?

I can't answer. I just swallowed and thought. What would I do if that were true?

"I do not know," I answered and looked at the sky.

"I'm sure when she sees you. She'll be happy and cry because she sees you again." I looked at Aphrodite.

"Do you see what will happen in the future?" I asked. She turned to me and nodded in response.

"Do you see that tomorrow we will see Lit?" I asked. She just looked at my face as if she was answering with her mind. I wanted to read her mind but I couldn't. She blocked me.

"No." She replied. "I can't see what will happen tomorrow." She added and stood up.

"It's late at night, I'm going to sleep." She said and turned away.

"Aphrodite," I called so she stopped walking and kept her back to me.

"Why are you hurting yourself this way?" I ask. She did not answer.

She turned to me and I saw her smile.

"Loving includes being hurt." She replied and put a hand on her head.

"I just let myself love you and hurt myself until I get tired and fed up." She added a reason to swallow me.

"Maybe when I'm tired, I'll stop too." She said and smiled.

"I'm going to sleep, Von. Let's meet tomorrow." When she said that, she ran away from the rooftop. I was left alone sitting here looking at the road she had taken.

I drank the beer I was holding and then shifted my gaze to the sky.

I don't want to get hurt, I have no intention of getting hurt. I didn't want to hurt Aphrodite.

I took a deep breath and was very tight.

"If only everything could go back to normal, I would avoid meeting Aphrodite, so that she would not be hurt as is happening to her now," I whispered to myself and drank Beer again.

I stood up and approached the railings of the Rooftop then looked at the lights coming from other buildings and roads.

"Where are you Lit? I have a hard time imagining that you might have been happy with someone else and forgotten about me." I whispered and bowed.

I've been waiting for her for a long time, when will I see you again, Mon Amour?
