Chapter 28: Chapter 28
Von POV
"Take care of our daughter Von.... I'll be back when everything is alright."
I closed my eyes as I remembered the last words Lit said before she left me.
I looked at the dark sky full of stars, I could see how a shooting star passed by.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
Lit and I used to do this, when we see a shooting star we close our eyes and make a wish at the same time.
Now, I will do it alone.
"I wish, that the three of us can be together."
I slowly opened my eyes when I felt someone sitting next to me, I turned and saw Yezrah. I smiled when I saw her close her eyes while looking up at the sky.
"What did you ask for?" I asked when she opened her eyes.
She smiled and turned to me.
"I wished I could see my real father." She said that made me smile inside. Because I haven't told her that I'm the one she's looking for, I want Lit to tell her even though I know it's vague.
"Then I also wished that Mommy would come home." She said that's why I looked away.
"Where are you from Uncle Daddy?" She asked. I smiled at her and came closer to her then put my arm around her then looked ahead.
"I went to your mommy," I answered so her eyes widened as if she was happy with what I said.
"Really? Did you see Mommy? Is she coming home? How is she doing? Did she miss me? Where is she? What is she doing there?" Her next question made me laugh.
She's so cute, she and Lit are the same when they're excited.
"Yes, I saw your mommy, she said she misses you, and do you know she said to be a good girl because you will live here with us while she is gone, She also said that when she comes back she will have a gift for you ." I smiled at her. My heart almost melted when I saw her cry.
"I miss Mommy." She cried and suddenly hugged me. "I should come with you so I can see Mommy." She said while hugging me.
I hugged her back and took a deep breath.
"The child is still not allowed there." I excused myself.
"But she said she misses you too and she's coming home soon." I lied, she let go of the hug and wiped her tears.
"So don't be sad because Mommy is coming home soon," I said with a smile then frowned. "Wait, why aren't you asleep yet? Where is Aunt Aphrodite?" I asked. She laughed then pouted.
"Aunt Aphrodite put you to sleep earlier, right?" I asked.
"She was the one who fell asleep. She must have been tired watching over me this day." She said that made me smile.
"You know, Aunt Mommy is very kind. When you're not around, she always watches over me and cooks for me. Then you know, we went shopping for a day. Then we always played tea party. Before she left, she made sure I was asleep and then every morning someone cooked breakfast for me." Yezrah's story made me smile even more.
Aphrodite can be trusted. It's just sad because I can't give her the love she gives me and for my daughter.
"Does Aunt Aphrodite have a boyfriend?" I looked at Yezrah when she asked that.
"No baby, why?" I asked. She smiled and came closer to me and whispered in my ear.
"You two have something." She whispered then shivered. I laughed at her and pretended to look at her badly.
"Yezrah, I will report you to your mommy." I joked. She laughed and stood up.
"It's true what I said Uncle Daddy." She said then act with something in mind.
"It's okay for you to be married." She laughed and ran inside. I was left with a smile but it disappeared immediately.
If only she knew.
A few minutes passed and I decided to go inside to sleep. I teleported to our kitchen to drink milk when I saw Creed and Fin talking in the living room.
I frowned and that's why I immediately poured milk into the glass and walked towards them, late at night these two were still gossiping.
"I don't know what's going on," Creed whispered to Fin. Fin struggled and crossed his arms.
"I have a suspicion that it's Von's daughter, the stupid thing is that we had a nephew before." Fin said.
"So what? I'm speed." I joined them the reason for them to be surprised
"Devil's son!" Creed shouted and looked at me.
"Why are you here?" these two gossips asked at the same time.
"Why are you talking about me?" I asked again and took the drink in my hand.
"Why are we talking about you, we don't know anything about you," Creed said and tormented me.
"Okay, I don't think I heard anything," I said and passed them while drinking milk.
"Just ours, who is that kid huh? Is it your daughter?" Fin asked, so I laughed and looked at them. They were looking at me, waiting for what I would say.
"Shhhh," I answered and turned my back on them.
"What the fuck, it's his daughter." I heard Fin say so I laughed and went to my room. I was at the door when I immediately saw Yezrah sleeping soundly next to Aphrodite.
They both hug each other.
I leaned against the door and just watched them for a few minutes while I finished the milk I took.
I prefer Lit to sleep next to Yezrah.
I was fine when Aphrodite suddenly moved and slowly looked at me. Her eyes widened when our eyes met.
"V-Von..." She said nervously and stood up from the bed slowly so that Yezrah wouldn't wake up.
"H-have you been there for a while? Sorry I was asleep." She said and briefly looked in another direction.
I just smiled at her and then looked at Yezrah.
"Thank you for watching over my daughter," I said so she looked at me and looked at Yezrah.
I think she was surprised by what I said.
"Is she your daughter?" she asked and looked back at me. I smiled and nodded.
"Lit has confessed to me," I said and took a deep breath.
"Is that so...congrats then. Where is she?" she asked.
"She left in Bermuda with her husband," I answered. There was a long silence between the two of us.
"Does Yezrah know that you are her father?" she asked. I shook my head.
"I don't want to let her know," I answered and looked at her. "I want Lit to tell our daughter about me," I added. I can see how her eyes are sad but she still manages to smile and nod.
"I'll be going home now, I'm sure mom is waiting for me." She said and smiled at me then stepped towards the door.
"Aphrodite," I called causing her to stop and look at me wearing her smile.
"If... You don't do anything tomorrow, maybe we can eat outside." I said, I don't know if I saw correctly that her cheeks were red or what.
At this moment, her smile was real.
"Yezrah and I are there," I added. She nodded.
"Alright." She says. I smiled.
I watched as she left my room. When she got out of my room, I walked to my daughter's side and fixed her blanket.
I kissed my daughter's forehead before turning off the light and laying down on the sofa near the bed.
I will face another long day tomorrow.
