Alvin massaged his brow with weary eyes from looking at the laptop all night then his phone rang.

" Mom, I'm in the study. You can come in " with that said he hung up his phone still looking at his PC.

His face contorted sideways when he saw her holding a camera debating whether to fix it or not. All ounce of weariness vanished from his face. ' Is she crazy? ' he blamed his mother for promising her a divorce.

The doorknob turned as Bianca entered smiling.

" Hello, son." She pecked him taking a seat before him

" What is it, mom? I don't have all day" he snapped as Bianca furrowed her brow

" It's about your marriage to Kate. Alvin, that's not how to treat a woman. You can't keep handling her like that. She'll get depressed and hurt herself. I know you don't want her dead" she paused reading into his silence

" Whatever she did to you, she's your wife now and she'll give you a child soon. C'mon"

" She deserves it. No one can change my mind. Kate is mine and how I chose to treat her has nothing to do with you" he spat leaning on the chair

" What did she do wrong besides hiding her asthma from you. She did it for a different reason if you ask me. For God's sake, you deflowered the poor girl" she said agitatedly. She was getting tense

" She lied to me. Virgin? I don't believe a word she says. She could have had a repair to fool me. She didn't seem like an amateur either. There's nothing innocent about her. She used me for her selfish reasons. No mom, I won't forgive her" he snapped hitting the desk while Bianca stood up furious

" Do you know what you're saying? If you don't want her divorce her and marry Cynthia. She still loves you. You were the one that left her for Kate. A priceless treasure as you call her. Now you don't love her anymore? Is your love that shallow? You forced yourself on her" she accused

" I didn't force myself on her. I've never forced myself on her. She submitted it to me. She's my submissive till death do us part. Divorce isn't an option. " He slammed staring at her deadpanned

" Okay. Maybe you didn't but she doesn't desire you. You didn't give her a choice. Alvin son, this isn't right. Divorce her if she wronged you. Please. " She pleaded softly

" let her go free? She'll seize to exist in my life? I won't see her again? I can't do that. I can't" he tells her on his feet pacing

" Then treat her like a good husband. She's expecting your baby, doesn't that tell you anything? You're going to be a father. I assume you still love her that's why you wanted a child from her. Will you let your child witness your cruelty to his mother? Alvin, your son might come to hate you. Like you and I sometimes" she said the last part slowly. Alvin's face softened

" Did she say something? Is she pregnant? If she's then I'll try for our child's sake that's all and I don't love her. She made me immune to it. " He muffled as Bianca noticed his hurt expression.

" Kate is still in love with you believe me son. She's just mad. Try and fix your marriage or leave her" she chimed but laughed it off

" Fine. Thanks, mom" he appreciated

" Stop disgracing her in front of your employees even Colton doesn't respect her and stop staying out when you have a wife waiting for you at home. Go home to her. It makes her safe " she tells him pulling him into a hug

That day Alvin returned home and hugged Kate to sleep. He touched her stomach then recalled the camera and searched for it then saw it on top of the table. He changed into his sleeping pajamas and held her staring at her sleeping face. He just couldn't keep his hands to himself as he fondled her stomach imagining having a baby with her.

He smiled pecking her. He could tolerate her if she was pregnant. He wouldn't want his child to hate him. No, he couldn't.
