“Get a room people” A female voice said at the entrance of the living room startling us. We couldn’t see the person since the lights were off and only the reflection of the TV shining the room, we both got dressed quickly before the light was turned on revealing a man and woman.

They both look in their 70s and 60s, the man has a brown curly hair with blue eyes like Daniel’s, he dressed in a red suit and the woman has a blonde hair exactly with Ellen’s own and dressed in a flawless green gown looking gorgeous and their appearance speaks wealth. Who’re they to them? I thought

“Mom, Dad” Daniel said, in shock. They’re his parents; that’s why there is resemblance in the hair and eyes.

“Yes baby, did you miss us?” His mom asked and walked to us with his dad trailing behind.

“Yeah, I mean you didn’t inform me you guys will be coming” He said,

“Well, I was so eager to see my daughter-in-law after Ellen told us the news about you having a fiancée” She replied.

“Good evening Mr. and Mrs. Collins” I greeted, nervously.

“She looks so pretty, how’re you darling?” She asked, engulfing me into a hug.

“Good evening dear” His dad answered also giving me a hug.

“Honey, she the one” She said to her husband and embrace me once again.

“We’ve a lot to talk about” She said pulling me to the stairs leaving Daniel and his dad.

I looked at Daniel with puppy eyes to help me out but he gave a sign indicating he can’t do a thing in that situation.

**Next Morning**

“Good morning Mom, Dad” I greeted my parents in the dining. “Good morning baby” Mom replied and pecks my cheek.

“Good morning son” Dad answered with a warm smile.

I walked to the kitchen to get my coffee from Nanny Maya before going back to the dining.

“How is my daughter-in-law doing?” Mom asked, smiling.

“She’s sleeping, you kept on talking to her since your arrival without making her go to bed on time” I stated, taking a sip of the coffee.

“I was just so excited you finally have a lady to settle down and she’s expecting our grandchild, isn’t that right Collins?” Mom answered, briskly.

“Yes honey, It’s a good thing he decide to settle down, am so proud of you, son” Dad said and I nod.

“Son, when is your wedding because I can’t wait any longer” Mom asked, sharply.

“Lillian, what’s the rush let him decide” Dad, snapped at her.

“Honey, am just so excited to look after our grandchildren before they’re born” Mom responded.

“Morning dad, mom” Ellen said walking up to us along with Angela.

“Morning baby” Mom replied hugging her.

“Good morning princess” Dad to Ellen while she pecked his cheeks.

“Good morning ma’am, sir” Angela greeted, with an awkward smile.

“Morning sweetie, how was your night?” Mom asked and got up rushing towards her.

“Good morning dear, please call us mom and dad, okay?” Dad said, smiling.

“Okay, dad, mom” She replied, shyly. I damn love this woman; I can’t wait any longer to make her my wife but today I am gonna propose to her.

I’m gonna make arrangement to propose to her today but with the help of Ellen and my parents. I wanna make the work easier, I just hope she accept to marry me because I can’t do without her in my life, she has become my addiction and life.

I woke up to find myself on a bed with different wires fixed on me; I glared at the door and saw people walking around, to see I was in a hospital.

How did I get here, I remembered Angela, Ellen and their friend beating me to a pulp and I passed out.

I held my head feeling the pains of the hitting when a doctor walked in.

“You’re up already Miss Jennifer, how are you feeling now” The doctor asked, checking the drip and blood tied to my body.

“How did I get here? I feel pain on my head and all over my body” I said in agony.

“Sorry the pains will take a while before it can subside but how did you get hurt?” He asked. How do I tell him some crazy bitch and her friends beat me up because I slept with her man, uhn? Never, I can’t do that, it only gonna tarnish my image which I don’t want to happen.

“I fell off the stairs” I lied.

“Oh, sorry ma’am, the men who bought you here are outside.” He said.

“Did they tell you who they are?” I asked, weakly.

“Yeah, they said something like bodyguards” He answered.

“Yes they are, thanks doctor” I replied.

“Okay, get some rest” He said and went out.

That bitch is fucking going to regret doing this to me. Ahhh!! I screamed feeling the pain on my head.

For now, I am gonna lay low and take good care of myself before cooking up a plan to kill her for good and have Daniel all to myself.

Daniel parents are so nice treating me as their daughter especially his mom; she keeps checking up on me time to time and asking me if I need and all that.

I was in the room and it was 8:55 pm and Daniel was yet to come back from the office. I left the room going downstairs to the living room to wait up for him.

I walked to the parlor everywhere was dim and I couldn’t see a thing. Where did everyone go?

“Ellen!” I called, my voice coming back in echo.

“Mom! Dad!” I called again, still no response. I was beginning to feel scared.

I was trying to find my way to the switch when I felt a presence in my front making me wanna freak out.

“The very day I saw you, my heart fell in love with you, your sweet voice melted my heart, and your mysterious beauty mesmerized me completely. That moment, I decide to make you mine, you made me feel the thing I never thought to have again- Love. You came into my life and break the hardness which no one could and tame my heart with your love. I love you more than life itself, Angela Perez will you marry me?” It was, Daniel. I was shocked and already in tears when he said all of that. I was thinking he wouldn’t ask me out.

The light came up reflecting on Daniel on one knee with a diamond ring on his hand while his parents, my parents, Ellen, Rosie and all the maids and servants came out of hiding. They all knew about this because I saw their smiling faces and Rosie and Ellen grinning.

They both were muttering “Say yes” in a low voice while my mum and Daniel’s mom were giving me a puppy look.

I glare back at Daniel before saying. “Yes. I will marry you Daniel Collins” I said in tears and everyone begin clapping as Daniel fix the ring in my ring finger and pulled me into a passionate kiss.
