Naina's POV

"Ranveer I was wrong but it was before meeting you. That time I didn't know you, I didn't know the true meaning of love and respect, for me what me and Sameer had was love but then I realized how stupid I was. Maybe I deserve everything Shivam did for what I had done,” I told him.

"You don’t deserve it. Shivam was crazy. He only had one aim in his life and that is to be with you, he just wanted you with him. I am sorry I should have understood that it was before we met and before you knew about Mom and the abuse she faced,” he said as he took me in his arms.

"I love you. I am sorry.

“At the time he suggested this plan, that time also I felt that it is not right but at that time my only motive was to get rid of you and be with Sameer,” I said and chuckled.

“In the past few months I realized that I didn’t even love Sameer. When he held his hand forward and befriended me, I was just looking for someone, I was just looking for a company, a friend and that’s why I ignored the way he used to treat me and held onto him strongly,” I said.

“And slowly I confused the friendship for love and started having one sided feelings for him, I thought I loved him but you showed me the true meaning of love and care which made me realize Sameer never even cared about me, I mean forget about love, he never even cared about me even as his friend,” I continued and he held my hand in his and started caressing it.

“At first, maybe, I was his casual friend with whom he used to talk everyday and later I became someone whom his brother loved and that’s why he got more close with me so that he can keep an eye on me,” I continued further and he kissed the back of my palm.

“Maybe I was just craving for someone to give me love and care but now I realized I was looking at wrong places,” I told him.

“I love you,” he said making me smile.

“I love you more.”

Ranveer's POV

"I can’t believe how much she has suffered,” Mom said as she gave me a coffee and sat beside me.

After we got freshened up, I dropped Naina to her house as she wanted to meet her Dad and pack her belongings and I came to meet Mom.

I wanted to meet Mom.

I told her about Shivam and the kidnapping but I didn’t tell her about Sameer and how Naina thought she liked him and made a plan with him.

Even though everything was fine, but my heart was not at peace.

"Mom, am I a good husband ?"he asked.

"I think you are a wonderful husband,” she told me.

"After everything happened between you it's not easy for both of you to start over, but I know you both will sort everything out,” she continued and I was shocked.

"You know?"

"Yes..Naina told me everything. After you both got separated, we met and she told me everything."

"Everything?" I asked and she nodded in a yes.

"Look Ranveer, I want to tell you what's your mistake. Okay…let's imagine, one day somebody coming at your door and suddenly blackmails you to marry her. How will you feel?" Mom asked and I know where this conversation was going.

"I would hate that person."

"Even though that person is a good person, you would only have hate for them right?" she asked and I nodded in a yes.

"You are a good man but for Naina you were a blackmailer who forcefully married her and Sameer was her saviour,” she said and I realized she was right.

"But my intentions were not wrong,” I told her.

“What do you mean?” she asked and I told her everything.

From the first time I was attracted to Naina till the time I came to know about her father marrying her off to a drug addict.

"But she does not know it. For her you were a stranger who was forcefully marrying her, and she decided to do anything to stay away from that stranger,” she told me and I realized she was talking about the plan she made with Sameer to divorce me.

"She told you this also?" I asked and she nodded in a yes.

"You would have befriended her, and then asked her to marry you properly where she had a choice of choosing you but you didn't give her any choice. You just forced the decision upon her but still, till now she didn't say anything to you, right?" she asked.

“She always says that she is lucky to meet me,” I told her and smiled.

"She loves you Ranveer. Yes I know she is wrong but you are equally wrong,” she said making me realize how wrong I was.

"Thank you for making me understand. You are the best,” I said as I kissed her cheek and drove towards her house.

I knocked the door to find that door was already open and went inside see her Dad.

"She had gone to meet Kamla aunty. I heard you both are together. Please don’t hurt her, even though she never showed me but she was in a very bad state when she came here,” he told me.

"You are telling me not to hurt her? The man who was selling his daughter for money?" I asked and he was shocked.

"Wh..What are you saying?" he stuttered.

"Dont act smart. That day in the hotel, when you were talking with that man who was ready to give money, but instead he wanted his son to marry Naina. His son was a drug addict and they wanted Naina just to give them an heir and that day I decided that I will marry Naina,” I told him.

“I didn’t knew her was a drug addict,” he said.

“But how can marry off your daughter for money? You know, that day I decided that I will not take money from you and in that way you will not marry her off to that guy but then I thought something,” Before I could say something I heard a sound and turned around to see Naina.

"Naina,” I called her but she ran away.

I sat in my car and tried to follow her but my car stopped working.

I got out of car and ran behind her.

"Wait,” I shouted but she was running.

"Naina,” I screamed as a truck came in front of her but somebody pulled her and they both fell on the ground and she pushed him and got up.

"Sameer?" she was shocked to see the person who saved her.
