Chapter 68: Chapter 68

MALAYINA

May 22nd 2018

"You always know how to push my fucking buttons, mikros!" (Little one) He hisses.

He reaches into his pocket, pulls out his phone, tapping on the screen and presses it to his ear. "Bring the bastard back into the room." He snaps, his eyes never leaving mine.

A cold chill snakes up my spine as he steps back and starts to remove his suit jacket. "Put it on." He demands holding it out towards me.

I snatch it from his grasp and drape it over my shoulders as I glare at him. "Happy now?" I ask him sarcastically.

He reaches out and starts to button the jacket up. "Satisfied enough." He grumbles.

The door flies open and Vanko walks in with Dane by his side. "On your knees!"

Dane looks at me with regret in his eyes as he kneels in front of Amar. "Did you enjoy tongue fucking my wife?" Amar slaps Dane across the face.

I wince as the slapping sound echoes through the room and phantom pains spread across my cheek.

*Silence*

"I asked you a question!" He slaps Dane across the face a second time, eliciting a growl from him.

"Yes." He breathes, staring up at Amar.

I shake my head.

The guys got a death wish.

Amar's head whips towards me and my breath hitches in my throat as I swallow the urge to run. My grand idea doesn't seem so grand after all.

"You said you like the way his saliva coats you?"

He turns to Vanko. "Kratìste anoichitó to stóma tou!" He rumbles in his mother tongue.

(Keep his mouth open!)

Vanko nods his head, "Entáxei afentikó." (Okay boss.)

He grips Danes jaw with his large hands, forcing his mouth wide open and I stare wide-eyed as Amar pulls out a cut-throat razor from the inside of his sock. He flicks his wrist, exposing the blade. "Stick out your tongue." He demands.

"Fuck you!" Dane hisses as he struggles against Vanko.

Amar presses the razor to Dane's cheek and glides it down. Slicing through his flesh with the delicacy of soft butter. Dane yells as ruby red blood streams from his facial lacerations.

"Amar, please. Stop!" I rush over towards them, wrapping my hand around Amar's and he stills his movements.

His head snaps to the side and a violent snarl leaves his lips. "It's my fault, I made him do it because I.. I wanted to drive you insane." My voice trembles as I confess to my stupidity.

"Congratulations, you've succeeded, mikros." (Little one.) He shakes my hand off his. "You play these games and think there won't be any consequences."

He looks at Vanko and nods his head. Vanko sticks his fingers inside of Danes mouth and he pulls out his tongue. He presses the blade on Danes tongue and Amar begins to move his hand.

Danes cries of terror crash into me like a tsunami, and I begin to sway on my feet.

It's not his fault.

How will I be able to live with myself if Amar follows through with his threat?

"Amar!" I cry out.

"You did this, mikros!" (Little one!) His hand continues to move across Danes tongue.

Without thinking, I step in front of him and slap him across his face.

SHIT!!

The palm of my hand stings and I instantly regret my actions.

He closes his eyes, inhaling long and deep as he tries to find his composure once again.

"Leave us!" I order.

"With all due respect, Mrs Diamandis. I dont take orders from you."

I turn around and glare at Vanko. "Mrs Diamandis. What good is carrying the name if no one will take my orders?" I turn back around and face Amar.

His eyes slowly open and his emerald green eyes focus on me. "You bear my name and at the same time you drag it through the mud, degrading it as you let another man feast upon you!!" He howls, grabbing me by the shoulders and he shakes me.

"I haven't seen you in five days!" I cry out. "I needed you today and you were nowhere to be found." I shove him and he stumbles back.

I begin unbuttoning his jacket, confident that he will clear the room before I count to six. I unbutton the third button

"Vgés éxo!!" (Get out!!)

Vanko pulls Dane up to his feet and drags him out of the room, closing the door behind them.

I turn and stalk towards the bathroom with him hot on my heels. "Where are you going? We aren't done here!" He bellows out and I ignore him as I turn the shower on.

I remove his jacket, placing it on the basin and tear the towel off my body. "You told me to shower. I'm doing what you asked of me."

I wash my face and run my hands through my wet hair as I step beneath the flowing water. I am aware of his presence behind me. His body is set on fire by the rage that envelopes it.

"I understand that I have been unreasonable about your feelings regarding our marriage. But it is done and no matter what you do I will not divorce you." His voice holds a seldom note of a promise.

"You said we were going to take down your grandfather. I haven't seen you in five days, I attended two funerals in two days and you left me with Da-"

"Don't you dare say his name." He lets out a murderous growl.

I turn to face him, he is fully clothed and a pang of disappointment hits me. "I'm sorry. You told me you didn't want to see me so I left you alone giving you exactly what you asked for." He reaches out and strokes the side of my face.

"I'm eighteen, Amar. I'm married against my will and I've just found out that everything I thought I knew about my life is a big fat lie. Being with you feels like I'm betraying my parents. I'm sorry, but, me loving you just can't happen." I let out a long shaky breath.

He grips my jaw between his fingers, forcing me to look up at him once again. "I've been busy luring my pappoús (grandfather) to the country. He should be here in a day or two."

"Is this why you keep moving us about?"

"You said we were sitting ducks and I know you want to be close to Caddie. So, nai (yes) we will continue circulating between the house and the hotels until we take care of my pappoús." (Grandfather) His eyes soften.

"Amar..."

I want to convey to him that I do not consider him to be a bad guy and that he deserves someone more stronger and wiser than I am. However, when I attempt to speak the words, my mouth clamps shut.

And I begin to wonder if my body and heart do indeed belong to him and that it is only my mind that refuses to surrender.
