Chapter 50: Chapter 50
THE NEXT MORNING
Krystal POV
My eyelids slowly lift open as I stretched out my hands on the bed with a loud yawn. The memories of last night flashed back into my head and a smile crossed across my face.
I turned to the other side of the bed and found it empty.
“Huh?” I mouthed; a little bit confused. Wasn’t I with Adrian?
Or was I hallucinating?
I raised the duvet over my body band saw I was naked. I know I am not imagining things.
I slowly got down from the bed and tucked my feet into my bunny ear flip flops and grabbed a white t-shirt to put on. As soon as I was done, I walk out of my room down to the living room packing my hair in a pony tail.
“Adrian?” I called out and heard low sounds coming from the kitchen. Sound of glass cup clinging against themselves.
“Adrian?” I called again and he steps out of the kitchen shirtless. “Oh, uhm…” I stutter and he walks to me with a cup of coffee in his hands.
“Good morning to you, beauty.” He said as he leaned forward to me and pecks my cheek. “Good morning handsome…” I replied with a smile on my face.
“I love what I'm seeing.” Adrian said, referring to the t-shirt. I laugh lowly and rolled my eyes.
“Trust you slept well” he said as he pulled me with him and sat me down on his lap while he sat on the couch.
“Here…” I collected the coffee he made and took a sip from the cup
“I want to say something.” He started with and I shrugged, giving him a listening ear.
“About last night, uhm Krystal…” Adrian called lowly and I carved my brows at him
“What is it…?”
“Krystal, be my girl.” He spoke
I would not consider it a request but a command, “Sorry?”
“Yes, be my girlfriend. You can’t say no you know?” he smirks and I roll my eyes at him.
“But to be honest, I know I would have you since the day I met you, and after seeing what happened last night and what happened between us last night, I know what I want and it is you” he said, his voice soft and sweet.
“I wouldn’t say no,” I replied and he leans forward to kiss me before I could even say another thing.
I really can’t enough of him.
After a few seconds, I pulled away with a shy smile on my face.
“Have you heard from Madison?” I ask
“Nope, Liam told me this morning she was having good time with Zach and you know what that mean.” He said with a smirk
“Of course, I do, I’ll speak to her soon then.”
“What does Zach want to do with Madison, he’s deeply in love with her isn’t it?” I laugh lowly
“I would say yes, and he is obsessed with her. He’s also planning on getting married to her. Shhhh, don’t tell Madison I told you, okay?” he whispers and I nod my head with a happy smile on my face
“Yep,” I agreed.
Somewhere in LA
Kingsley was seated in his room, he had called Madison but as he expected, she never answered her phone and he overheard Greg sending some of his men to her house last night.
Suddenly, his door flung open as two hefty men barged in.
“What the! Have you lost your manners?” he yelled out furiously
“Maybe you should tell that to boss.” One of them replied and he carved his brow.
“You think you can hide this for long? Well, you can’t and now boss wants to see you.” Another one of them said
Kingsley's heart was pounding as he was dragged into the boss's office by the two of Greg's burliest men. His mind raced with thoughts of how he could have gotten caught. He had been so careful, so meticulous, in hiding his cousin, Madison. How could he have been so foolish?
As soon as they arrived, Kingsley was roughly shoved into the boss's office. Greg sat at his desk, his eyes cold and unforgiving. Kingsley tried to stand tall, but his legs quivered beneath him.
"Kingsley," Greg said, his voice low and dangerous. "We have a problem."
Kingsley braced himself for the worst. He had seen what Greg did to people who defied him. He had no doubt that he was about to face a fate worse than death. But what happened next surprised him.
Greg threw a folder onto his desk, the sound echoing in the quiet room. "What's this?" he asked. "Do you recognize it?"
Kingsley's eyes widened in recognition. It was a collection of photos, all of them depicting him, Madison and Krystal together.
Their high school photos and even some photos of them together, Greg has been stalking him.
He had thought he had destroyed them all, but apparently, he had missed some of their high school photos.
"I--I can explain," Kingsley stammered, but Greg silenced him with a piercing glare.
"I don't want to hear it," Greg said. "You know the rules, Kingsley. We don't get involved with the enemy. And yet, you chose to betray us."
Kingsley hung his head, ashamed at what he had done. He knew that he had made a grave mistake. But he couldn't help the way he felt. Madison is his cousin and he would do anything to protect her.
“You know how much we have been trying to get the doctor?”
“I even sent you sometime last month to get her for me, perhaps you also lied to me. Isn’t she the ‘Raven?’” Greg asked and Kingsley heaved in a heavy sigh
“You are a big disgrace you know?”
“And I am not gonna tolerate your actions, I have been trailing you since you came back to Los Angeles, I knew all these but I was waiting for you to open up.” Greg said with a disappointed look.
“No boss, I didn’t mean to hide it from you for a long time…” Kingsley said with his head low. That only angered Greg, he stood up from his seat and went to Kingsley grabbing him by his collar.
“You knew the doctors and you said nothing!” Greg yelled and threw a punch at his face.
“She is my cousin!” Kingsley fired back
“How am I supposed to, how could I?” he added and Greg stepped back.
“Interesting,” he shrugs
“I don’t want anything to do with you again, I am done. I can’t you hurt Madison.” Kingsley said and everyone in the room bursts into laughter.
“You see those four men over there?” Greg asked pointing at them and Kingsley turned to look at them, “They were beaten up last night by Adrian. Adrian was with Krystal; they are even together.” He said and Kingsley’s eyes went wide open.
‘Could he be the man she was referring to then?’ he thought
“You want to tell me you never knew about this?” Greg scoffed
“I wasn’t dumb when I asked you to renew your contract, I knew a day like this is coming.”
“I am sorry, if its to return your money, I will. I can’t let you hurt Madison.” Kingsley said
“Do you think you can pay me back? Well, I do not want the money from you.” Greg said wit a side smile on his face
"What do you want from me?" Kingsley asked, his voice trembling.
"I want you to bring her here," Greg said. "I want to use her as leverage to get our hands on Zach. If we have her, he'll come for her. And then, we'll have him right where we want him."
Kingsley's heart sank. He knew he couldn't do that. He couldn't fool Madison into coming with him, and he couldn't stand the thought of using her as bait. But he knew he had no choice in the matter. If he didn't bring her to Greg, he would be signing his own death warrant.
"What's the deal?" Kingsley asked, hoping to buy himself some time.
"The deal is simple," Greg said. "You bring her to me, and I'll spare your life. But if you fail, or if you betray me again, you'll pay with your blood."
“Don’t worry, I won’t touch her. I just want to get Zach.” Greg replied
Kingsley nodded, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down upon him. He knew what he had to do. He had to kidnap his own cousin.
