Chapter 76: Chapter 76

- Maive's POV -

"We'll never be separated again." I said to my dad as I looked him in the eye, my tears kept on falling but I don't care. I've been longing for my family for a long time, I miss them so much... I miss dad so much.

We could be together just like before that night happened. I could also be with my pet Sheon, especially my brother Zonen. Having a family really feels different, I'm contented.

Oh damn, I was really left alone for so many years. I'm just glad for those people who adopted me and cared for me despite that I am not related to them by blood.

Dad caressed my face as he stared at my every feature before shaking his head. My smile faded at his reaction.

"Not yet, Maive." He simply stated, his eyes are telling me something I couldn't decipher, as if he has so many unspoken words.

I shook my head. "I'll go with you, Dad." I said desperately. I don't think I will leave now that I am with him. I will not leave him again... I wanted to be with my father... to be back to my family again.

He smiled and pinched my cheeks. "Your grandmother and uncle would be sad."

My jaw dropped, remembering everything that I have left. I just remembered the vampire invasion at the event and then... I inhaled some sort of drug in a handkerchief as I lost my consciousness. After that, I woke up in a van with some men around me. I tried to get away out of the van, resulting in me getting punched and pushed where I had my head hit the van's door.

I suddenly remembered about Tobias. He was beaten badly when I lost sight of him... he was full of blood and I hoped someone had arrived to help him.

"I'll join you dad..." I said. Even after everything I left behind, I would still choose him. He was my everything not after he was killed by those humans. I would give up and leave everything for him... for my father.

He shook his head, still the smile is evident in his face. "Let's not be stubborn, Maive... okay? They need you."

His face suddenly changed as it was held with sadness, he sighed. "I apologize for everything that I had kept from you. Your father is a werewolf and you are too." He paused, he placed the strands of my hair behind my ears. "Now that you have heard that from me, it is time for you to accept your wolf... accept the real you, Maive."

My brows crossed, not understanding what he was trying to say... I am a werewolf? But I don't have that wolf he was talking about, do I?

"You will not be condemned in this place. You will not be hurt just like me back in our village. You will be accepted," he continued as his eyes were full of love.

The more he spoke, the more I couldn't understand him.... However, his words somehow made me feel at ease. It made me feel relieved.

"It is time, Maive. Stop refraining yourself. Stop jailing your wolf... stop hiding your power... you are more than what you may think you are." He stated with sincerity.

I was confused and still couldn't understand what he was talking about. Do I have power? It was impossible, damn, I don't even know myself. I wanted to ask dad so many questions but no words came out of my mouth.

In just a snap, my father was gone. He disappeared without bidding goodbye. "Dad?" I tried looking for him but he was nowhere to be found. I ran through the forest to find him but to my disappointment, I couldn't see my father.

'Maive'

Suddenly, a familiar voice reached my ears. I looked around the forest to seek for that voice. However, I found no one.

'Maive'

I still couldn't see where that voice was coming but I kept on searching.

'You have to wake up, Maive' The voice said once again.

That's when I realized that this is just a dream. A dream that I don't want to wake up... or I will lose my father again. I will never see him again. I have to find dad, I have to go see him... I won't leave him again.

'He wants you to wake up, Maive. You know that.' The voice said, as if she could hear my thoughts.

Who was that?

That's when I found myself opening my eyes. It was really a dream... a dream that I might not have again.

Who the hell woke me up from my dream?

I looked around as I am now fully awake. I am aware that this is the reality and not my dream anymore. I found myself with my hands and feet tied. Meters away from me, I found Anne and Gabriela. They were tied too and are unconscious as of the moment.

My blood boils upon seeing their state.

Fuck, they were kidnapped as well? What have we done to be held as hostages by the vampires? Or was it purely coincidental? I don't know... as I have said numerous times, I don't really believe in coincidences.

Anne, Gabriella and I are the only people here being kidnapped but why does it have to be us? As far as I know we did nothing wrong.

"Anne! Gabriela!" I screamed, trying to wake them up. But that did not do anything, their eyes remained closed. But I was at ease when I saw their chest moving up and down, telling me that they were just sleeping.

I tried to look around the place we were and by the looks of it, we are in an abandoned house. Someone must have probably heard my scream as the two middle-aged dashed towards me.

Their faces held frustration and rage. The next thing I knew, I was slapped and I got to taste my own blood.
