Chapter 6: Chapter 6

- Third Person's POV -

A monster as they called, a terrifying creature as they say but who cares? He doesn't. His face is as cold as ice and his features are intimidating more than anyone else.

The man carried an unconscious little girl in his arms as he walked in the middle of the forest towards the road. He has a heart of a stone but he couldn't understand why he was bothered by this little girl who just showed up from nowhere.

He knew that at the moment she came to the cave with a very alluring scent, that little girl was his. He owns her.

The man laid the little girl at the side of the road and for the last time, sniffed her deliciously fragrant rose scent. He then gave one last glance, "This is not farewell, I'll see you again... Love."

- Maive's POV -

I woke up still feeling dizzy and found myself unconscious in a sideroad. I stood up full of confusion.

Did I just have a nightmare? I wish I did but I knew that it was real. However, the last time I was as I remembered was at the Ghost Cave, it's so dark in there and I was deeply wounded and... did I die?

When I looked around to find where I am, I realized that it is still near our village. That's when the realization hit me which caused my heart to squeeze in pain. My father and brother were killed by our villagers. I am now alone with no one to run to. My family must have been cursed... but what have we done to end up like this? We were just trying to live our lives... to survive each day. How could life be cruel to us?

My father surely didn't kill those they have accused him of, he is so kind. I believe that despite him being a monster, he wouldn't do such a thing.

As I wiped my tears that started to fall endlessly, that is when I noticed that there were no traces of wounds in me. There were also no bruises that I received when I was punched nor pain in my back from the stab wound. I am certain that I was wounded and bruised yesterday. The dried blood on my clothes also confirms that I have been wounded.

Is it possible to heal that fast? Or was I unconscious for a long time? The latter seems to be impossible though because I could feel that it was just yesterday.

Now that I think of it, that brings me to a question... how did I end up being on a road when I was in a cave found in the middle of a forest? I remember myself passing out even before getting out of that cursed and feared cave. It was also a mystery that I was able to get out of that cave alive when I was trapped.

I was about to take a step to look for a place when suddenly, I remembered something.

When I was about to pass out, there... there was a warm hand caressing my cheek that night... and then... I felt a sting from a bite.

That made me immediately check my neck. Placing my hand at the site where I had that bite, I was surprised when I felt a slight pain. There is definitely something in my neck and I was not just hallucinating that night.

But... was there anyone... someone at that terrifying cave? Who could have gone to that cave when everyone feared it? No one had ever gone out alive in that place, well, except me.

Damn it... everything is not making sense right now. I am going to lose my sanity at this rate. There was no trace of wounds in me from the incident last night that made me question myself whether it happened or not, however, this pang of pain in my neck and the blood in my clothes confirmed that everything happened and that I am all alone now.

I was still in mystery when I heard some voices approaching. With my fear of getting hurt again, I ran as fast as I could away from those people. I need to get away from this place. They will not spare me... not after knowing that my father is a werewolf.

While running, a black car appeared in my view. Being desperate to get out of this place, I waved my hands hoping that the driver would stop and help me. To my luck, he did stop in front of me.

As soon as he stopped, he immediately opened his car door and looked at me.

"Please... help me," those were the only words that came out of my mouth as my eyes began to water again.

Probably pitied by my appearance, he immediately opened the door for the passenger seat. Without thinking a second, I jumped inside the car and without any questions, he drove away from that place.

It was only when we got far from that place that he said, "You should not be running around without any slippers... you could use this." He, then, handed me slippers that he got under the seat next to his.

I shamelessly accepted it. I was afraid to say something that would upset him because he might leave me in a place I am not familiar with. The slippers that he gave me seemed to be new, though. I bit my lip as I tried not to sob because of his kindness.

His age is probably the same as my father's. His kindness makes me reminisce about the good times that I had with my father. I miss him... and I miss my brother, I couldn't believe that they were killed by our villagers.

I looked at my feet bleeding from running earlier. I tried to wipe the blood with my own hands to not leave a stain on this expensive car.

"Where should I bring you?" Asked by the man as he looked at the rearview mirror.

I bit my lip and played with my fingers..."I-I..." I said nervously, I actually don't know where to go. I have never been to any place but our village. I have not seen a town other than ours; my father prohibited me to.

"I-I h-have no place to go..." I answered honestly.

He looked back to the road. "What about your parents?"

I bit my lip once again, "I d-don't have..." I answered, my voice was terribly shaking. That question was heartbreaking... It was only yesterday that I had my father by my side. It was also yesterday when I lost him and Zonen.

Looking at the rearview mirror, I could see his eyes focused on the road. "I know someone who could take you in... They always wanted a child to take care of."

"R-Really?" My eyes probably glow at his words.

He nodded. "You'll be safe there."

I felt comfort from what he had said. He looks kind and there's no one I could lean on now. I have lost everything; so there's nothing to lose now.

Probably being exhausted with everything that has just happened, I fell asleep in the car after that conversation. When I opened my eyes, it was already dark and the car was parked in front of a bungalow house.

The man who has helped me was not inside the car. When I looked around, I saw him talking with probably a couple. It seems like they were the ones that he was talking about. I couldn't see their faces clearly because of the darkness of the surroundings... I also couldn't hear their conversation from here.

After some time, the man who had helped me went back to the car. He then opened the door where I was sitting. I just looked at him, not figuring out what to do.

"They'll take you in."

I nodded... not sure what to expect. I am just glad that I was able to leave that village.

Arman's POV

"My Lord..." I immediately spoke after answering the call.

"News?"

I watched the little girl who is now entering the house. Her head is fixed on the floor, still shy with everything. I pitied her but this is the only thing I could do.

"Accomplished, My Lord... I have done as you've ordered." I answered politely.

I smiled knowing that... he found her.
