Chapter 49: Chapter 49
- Cyrus' POV -
We headed to Daxton's office but before we got inside, he faced Yskela and asked. "What are you doing here?"
His voice was too cold and harsh for a girl like her, but it was just the Daxton I knew.
Yskela pouted, "I miss you and I heard you were here so immediately came, and here I am, ain't you happy?"
"Get out of here." Daxton said as he took Yskela's arms over him.
"But babe-"
"No buts Yskela, go home." He stated and it was more of an order that is why Yskela sighed as she walked away, wearing a sad face.
I just shook my head with his action, though it is likely Daxton. He doesn't care about any girl except his mate, because it seems like his world only revolves around that girl who named Maive.
Remembering that girl, she's a bit of a nuisance.
When Yskela walked away, Daxton immediately got inside his office and threw his bag at the couch.
"Woah, that was hot!" I heard Butch said while grinning as he took a seat at the nearest couch. I do know what he was referring to and I did not focus on him as I just watched Daxton heading towards the door again.
"Where are you going?" I asked, confused.
I thought we would be having a meeting about those black witches but it seems like there is something more important than that.
"Suit yourself, I'll be back." The way he said those words, I knew that his voice had an evident anger.
I sighed, he was mad because his girl smiled at me earlier. But I have no plan of deceiving the Alpha King, I have only one purpose in this school and that is to protect his Queen Luna.
"Yow," I got frustrated when Butch suddenly throw a pillow in my head.
I faced him, "What's your problem!?"
He pointed to the door where Daxton just walked out, "Follow him, I'm tired, besides, it's your fault he was mad."
I took a deep breath and sighed, if something bad happened to Daxton, I'll be the one to blame besides we are here to protect him as well and so I walked out of the office and followed Daxton's trail.
Despite how strong he is, I can't just ignore the truth that our enemies here are black witches. They are powerful because they could use magic and we only used strength in a battle.
I stopped on my track when I sensed that aura, it was too dark and powerful to ignore. Without a second thought, I ran as fast as I could and when I reached the place where the aura was coming, I stopped.
Daxton was releasing too much dark aura in his body while he was looking somewhere in the distance. I was afraid to get closer because right now, he is the definition of death, however, I still find myself walking closer towards him.
When I saw what he was looking at, I was surprised as well. Now I know why he has this dark aura within him, as if he was about to kill someone.
That guy in the Science Department, what was his name again? Tobias was it? Well it is not important, what's important right now is how to calm this monster after seeing his mate being hugged by some other guy.
I feel sorry for that guy.
It feels like Daxton couldn't take it any longer when he was about to take a step towards them but he stopped when a honking was heard. A gray car was near Maive and that guy, after that, they got inside the car and it drove away... leaving me alone with this deadly monster.
Gabriella's POV
Things had turned difficult again for my family because of the recent attack of vampires in the territory of werewolves. Being a hybrid werewolf-vampire, events like these are extremely hard for a creature like me.
Some considered me as part of vampires despite me living my whole life in the territory of werewolves. It's because of the vampire blood running through me that they despised my existence but why is that my problem? I was just born this way, I have no other choice but to be a part of two different species.
Werewolves have started to bully me these past few days again and I'm afraid it will be like before. Things have been a little quiet since I started college but it was starting to get worse because of the vampires attacked.
"Traitor!"
"She's a vampire..."
"She's a spy, then..."
"That vampire shouldn't be here. They should be thrown at the piery."
These are only some of the words that I frequently hear. I get used to it knowing that I have been hearing those ever since I was a kid... but I sometimes wish that things like that would stop. I wanted to live and be treated normally. That's what I deserve at least because I have done nothing bad to them.
I was on my way to a cafe near the university, we left Maive with her childhood friend and Anne was fetched by her father when we got out of the gate.
And I... I needed some coffee to keep myself from sleeping, I have been having nightmares lately of becoming a part of vampires and betraying the werewolf species. It was something I had never thought of doing and it kept me up all night.
I was getting near the cafe when I felt a sting on my brows. I immediately shielded my arms, it was only then that I realized there were stones being thrown at me by some students.
"An enemy shouldn't be here!"
"What a disgusting creature!"
"Get out of here, you bitch!"
Students keep throwing stones at me while saying words that hurt me inside. I couldn't say anything, they were just worrying about themselves after all.
They are just afraid because they could never understand me.
I hissed when I felt a blood dripping from my forehead, realizing it, I suddenly felt dizzy that I fell on the floor.
But those students throwing stones at me were never satisfied with that. It continued even after they saw the blood dripping from my forehead.
I couldn't move even then, I am a vampire and a werewolf after all. Those stones were just nothing, I felt numb for it, but their words were like arrows buried deep inside my heart.
Is it the end for me? But I just let them because I know that they will just get tired and I have no escape from here.
"What the fuck are you all doing?!" Suddenly, a voice thundered, it was familiar yet a little foreign.
