Chapter 5

The next morning I woke up with a stabbing pain in my abdomen. I could hardly walk due to the extreme flesh-piercing pain which spread across my stomach and my back. I had my periods so I called my mom for help. She came to my room with a cup of hot water. Yep, hot water always helped me in relieving my pain. I took the water from my mother and drank the half cup.

“ Pain killers in the cupboard mom. Would you grab them for me ? “ my trembling voice came out.

My mom handed me the tablet. I swallowed them with my remaining water and lied down.

My mother sat beside me and rubbed my stomach. I felt much relieved after that. I felt warm when she was with me. Even her sweet voice comforted me.

I sighed.

I decided to skip college and take a rest for the entire day. My mom went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for me. I decided to lie down. I couldn't even sit properly.

I felt frustrated, not able to attend the class that day. I couldn't attend the party the previous day because I was in a hurry to go home and help my dad with the remaining work.

My college held a fresher's party in the evening. I heard everyone talking about it. They said that there will be lots of dancing, music, and drinks. The worst days could happen to anyone especially me. I never attended a party before. My school held many festivals but never had held a party. The teachers thought that we were too young for parties so they never took the initiative to hold one.

I slept for one hour straight till my mom woke me up and told me to have some breakfast. I was able to sit properly because my pain had disappeared. I ate my breakfast and went back to my room.

I was curious about today’s class so I decided to text Ria. Thank god I saved their numbers otherwise I won't be able to text them in emergency cases. It was almost 10 am. So the second period was about to start. I sent a hello message to Ria and waited for her reply. After some time she replied to me.

Ria: Why didn't you come to class today?

Me: My period came and I was having trouble with my stomach so decided to take a rest. How was the day?

Ria: Interesting. Some new students came.

Me: Oh really. Ha ha ha.

Ria: Yeah. Seems badass.

Me: Are they friendly?

Ria: You know the rule girl. They are not interested in nerd ones like us. They belong to a cool gang. But we know a boy who is friends with them. Maybe we will have a chance after all.

I chuckled thinking whether that boy might be very important to her. Yep it might be her boyfriend.

Me: how was the party yesterday?

Ria: Yeah the party. This is the second time I am attending one. Thank god not even a single turned up. Those new cool dudes attended though.

" Oh, I really missed all the excitement there. Worst first day for me then “ I sighed.

Ria: Maria, the second period is about to start I will call you in the evening ok.

Me: okay Bye. Evening then.

I started to wonder how those new kids will turn out to be. Crazy thinking about them. The rest of the day seems boring so I decided to read a book.

"Let's see what I got here? I started looking for a storybook that will get my attention. Nope. Not this one. Yes finally found you “ Sherlock Holmes. My favorite detective of all time. This book always inspired me to write a mystery novel. I tried many times but nothing came to my mind. So I decided to give a break and concentrate on other things. I was a very very big fan of mystery and detective novels than romance and action.

“If I started reading now then I can finish this entire book by evening. The stories looked really interesting.” I thought while flipping the pages.

I laid down on to my bed and started reading the book till afternoon. I took a break for lunch and continued till evening. My back pain was coming and going in between so I needed the help of the hot bag for pain relief. My mom came into my mom whenever I called her and rubbed my back. In between, I will take a little nap. The first day truly is the worst nightmare for me.

Ria called me in the evening and chatted with me for a while regarding the rest of my class. She also asked me about my condition. I told her about how my day went and informed her that I will attend the class tomorrow.

But that night I dreamed again about that handsome boy. But this time I could only see his eyes. They were blue. They sparkled like diamonds. His grip on my waist was tight. He seems possessive of me which send shivers.

"Oh my god. Did I had a wet dream." I woke up shivering. The dream seemed too real. Am I going to find my prince charming here?. Is that the reason why god is always showing me these kind of exotic dreams?. Soon I will find out.

I sighed and headed down to the kitchen. I was thirsty. I gulped an entire bottle and headed back to my room.

I was restless. I tried to sleep that night. But I wasn't feeling sleepy so I got up from my bed and walked towards my window. The moon shone brightly in the night sky. It seems like she was alive and talking to me.

The air was chilly but it comforted me from my worries. Yes. I was worried. But I couldn't able to understand the reason for my fear.

I thought of calling Nancy. But I dropped the idea and headed towards my bed. Hundreds of thoughts came into my mind. I was excited for the next day. A goodnight sleep was all I wanted.
