Chapter 11

He followed me to the romance section. I started looking for the book numbers.

" Do you have anything specific in your mind? " I asked.

He didn’t provide me the title.

“ Anything erotic will be nice.” He answered. Typical Mike.

I was embarrassed. What an asshole.

" You can look that for yourself," I told him and started walking towards my counter.

Suddenly he grabbed my hand and pushed me towards the corner. I was shocked by his sudden behavior. I tried to run away but he grabbed my waist and kept looking into my eyes.

Hundreds of thoughts kept coming into my mind. I need to run away but my legs won't listen to me. I wanted to scream but my voice suddenly gave up. I never expected this. This is the first time I was experiencing such kind of situation.

He was staring into my eyes this whole time. Out of blue, he started kissing my neck. My heart started to pound like it wanted to run. I tried everything to push him away but he kept me in a tight hug. After kissing my neck he found his next target, my lips.

Oh no, he won't. I mastered my courage and slapped him.

But he took my hand and kissed it.

"I am garbage to you. Stop it before I scre... " He never let me finish it. He started kissing me. He was kissing with so much passion that seems like his life depends on it. He put his tongue inside my mouth which made my eyes widen and my toes

Finally, he stopped. My cheeks were red with embarrassment. I was so angry that I raised my hand and gave him a second slap. I thought he was gonna push me down. But he didn't. Instead, he gave me a peck on my cheek and rushed out. I couldn't able to sleep that night. My mind was full of thoughts.

I cried uncontrollably. I was scared of him. I had hit him. He was gonna kill me.

Nancy warned me to stay away from him. The best thing to do was not get involved in any business with him. He may put my life in danger.

“ Next time he comes to the library you need to hide, " Nancy said to me.

I took leave the next day as I had an appointment with my dad's doctor. I called a cab. I was able to provide good medication to my dad thanks to the salary from the library.

We had an appointment at 11 am. We reached the hospital at 10:00 and took some tests for getting an up-to-date condition about my dad's health and waited for our call from the reception.

We got the call and went to meet Dr. Robert. He was a specialist and was very famous. He was in his 50s was what he said. But he doesn't look old to me. He looked very young for that age. Since he knew about our family condition he was very kind to me and my parents .l was able to contact him well thanks to my teacher. He was her family friend. He knew I was a hard-working girl.

“Good morning Dr. Robert “ I greeted him very happily.

“ Good morning Maria. Please take a seat “ he smiled back. He was looking at my dad's test report.

"So how is my dad doing," I asked him nervously.

"He is responding very well to the medicines. You are taking very good care of him.”

I was so relieved to hear that from him. He said that if we continue the medicines for another couple of months he will be in good health again. That means I will get my old energetic dad back.

On our way back we decided to spend some time in the park. I was so happy to feel the wind. After a very long time, I was actually enjoying it. I licked my ice cream and looked at the kids who were running around. We had our lunch at a seafood restaurant. I saved my earnings for occasions like this.

After having some pleasurable time we decided to get back home. At 4 pm I headed to the library. I also need to borrow the notes from the class representative. I hope he lets me borrow them since I have a reason to believe Mike forbids him. Mike hated me. He was playing his naughty games with me. Stealing my first kiss. My head was burning thinking about it.

I put my thoughts away the moment I saw Mike standing at the entrance patiently waiting for someone. I know that someone is definitely me and it's my cue to hide. I ran to the washroom to hide. I waited there sometime for him to leave. I peeked at certain intervals to see any progress. But he stood there looking for me patiently.

Mike POV

I rushed to the library as soon as my classes were over. I eagerly waited for her. She didn't turn up to class. I had a feeling that she may pop in the library today. I knew that's her favorite place.

I had hurt her in many ways. I cheated by not submitting her project that she was done without my help. But I took the credits from her. I turned her best friends against her. I bullied her. I didn't even try to stop Amanda. I pushed her down and called her filthy. I could smell the blood from her knees.

I may have enjoyed torturing her if she didn't turn out to be my mate. I hated her for what had happened in the mall. I have never been so angry with a girl before. She hit me in front of other people who very well know about me. I will be their future alpha. I will rule this city one day.

I patiently waited for my wolf to mature so that he could recognize my mate. I turned 19 in February. My parents put on a grand birthday party and welcomed many guests including both humans and werewolves. But my mate was not among them. I broke up with Amanda days ago. She knew that she was not my mate so she didn't beg for a second chance. I promised that we will be friends.
