Chapter 48: Chapter 48

Axry
We are on a boat today. Its size can fit ten of us. We were quite far from the island and nearly in the deep part of the sea, just enough to dive to the exact depth.
“You like — no, you love her, don't you?” she asked me.
I looked away.
“Does it matter?” she smiled. “Of course, you'd been my friend after all. So, I still have a concern for you” she said with modest.
If you're asking who is she? She is my childhood friend, she is Jasmine Resco short for Sane. It's been so many years since we saw each other. And it is surprising that in all of places we can met, it is this place.
“So, let me rephrase what I'm asking, do you love her?”
I looked at her. “I can tell that you already know the answer”
Her mouth turned to 'o'. “Of course, I do. Obviously you really love her just the way you look at her. I just want it to come to your own mouth”
Am I really like that? Am I really looking at Naddy like that? Am I that obvious?
I can't help but looked at her and Dwyne's direction. And suddenly I felt a pang in my chest. They are laughing with each other.
I know I don't have the rights to feel jealous, because we're not a couple in the first place. But I can't help it. Can you blame me? I just really really do love her.
I was about to speak, but we were signaled. Signal for us to start diving at the same time.
I put on the goggles, and so are them.
We counted to three then we simultaneously jumped into the water.
I held Sane's hand. We must not split up, so none of us will be in danger.

“Seriously, what's the problem of those men and after snorkeling they suddenly said they were going somewhere. Don't tell me they're scared?” I said irritatedly. They all just chuckled.
Yes, the men aren't here now, except for Dwyne and Axry.
“Hey, Dwyne! You're friends with those three idiots, aren't you? What are they doing? Are they so scared that they even come up with lame excuses?” I asked. Dwyne just smiled.
“Just don't mind them, they have something important to do” he said. I just rolled my eyes.
“Fine. Whatever you say” I gave up.
“So, who will go first?” I asked them.
No one raised a hand. Even Axry and Dwyne seem to have lost their cool and got scared to go first.
'What the Hhck! Are they really men??'
“Hilary, you go first” Freya said nervously. That's not surprising because this zipline is really very steep. You can almost see the whole island, including a small part of it on the other side.
When you fall into it, you are definitely dead. Because you'll fall to either rocks, sand, or trees. You're lucky if you fell in a true and your unlucky of it's in the rocks. Probably you're dead.
I waited a few more seconds to see if someone will raise their hand to go first but unluckily there are one. I could almost hear the sound of cricket, but nobody lifted their hand.
I sighed in disbelief and rolled my eyes.
“Fine, fine. If you don't want to go first, then I'll go” I said.
“NO!” Dwyne and Axry screamed in unison. Dwyne even stared at Axry.
I can't help but to frown. And what the hell is their problem now?
“And why is that?” I said with irritation.
“It's too dangerous” Axry and Dwyne said in unison once again. I rolled my eyes.
“What do you think am I? A weak? I can take care of myself, I'm more stronger than I look” I said with a 'duh' tone.
They tried to stop me, but no. I didn't listen. I wear the helmet and the harness. It is an equipment for ziplining.
They still looked down at me, huh? Not just because I'm a girl, I need protection from a man. I'm strong enough. After what I've been through? I will just get scared with this damn zipline thing? No way in hell!
I attached the rope to the harness. I prepared myself as well.
Hopefully after that they won't be afraid to go anymore. They want this so they stand up, tsk!
After a while, the zipline guide pushed me a little so the zipline started to work.
It was fast enough for me to feel the cold breeze on my skin.
As the zipline continued to move, my eyes just stared at the surroundings.
It is breathtakingly beautiful, you can see the whole island from this high. You can see the beautiful blue sea up here, the people are so tiny too, you can even compare them to an ant.
While I was busy looking around, I was suddenly held tight when the zipline suddenly stopped. In the middle!
What the! Gradually my eyes widened as it finally sink-in that I was stuck in the middle of the zipline.
“Xy/Naddy!”
I slowly turned my head behind me, and there I saw the concern on their faces.
“I'm okay!” I shouted.
'Fuck! What am I gonna do?! I don't want to be stuck here forever!'
Has someone set this up? Or is it really an accident. Am I really that unlucky to be the one in this kind of situation? But, it's okay, actually I'm happy and somewhat relieve because I'm the one who's stuck here, because if it is one of those girls who's being stuck here, I'm sure they'll get really really scared and surely will get a trauma after, because one wrong move and they'll die. Unlike me. I'm not afraid nor scared. Why? Because I'm not afraid to die afterall. No one can't escape death, so why bother to be afraid.
I shook my head. I don't have to think about things like that in my situation now. All I have to think about is how can I get out of this pest zipline.
I've never experienced this before, even in a movie. So I don’t know what I’m going to do now.
“Maddy! Hang on there! We'll help you!” Axry shouted. They still have a lot to say to ease the mood but I just ignored it, because I'm busy thinking about what I should do.
'Think, Xyna. Think!'
My face lit up and it was as if a lightbulb shone at the top of my head when I remembered something about like this. A scene.
