Chapter 9: Chapter 9
While Miranda is attempting to discover a way out of Stephen's estate, her closest friend, Jane, is attempting to locate her. Miranda's location, however, remains unknown as a result of Jane's efforts. She mysteriously vanished following a bizarre floral delivery that day. Jane became really concerned as a result of this. She utilized all of their mutual friends to track out Miranda. However, the outcomes remain bleak. Jane ultimately decided to go to the police station.
A girl with pink curly hair was observed heading to the police station with a troubled expression on an overcast and dark Friday morning. Jane is the name. She was escorted inside after briefly narrating the situation to the non-commissioned officer. A second lieutenant called David met her there.
"Hello, Jane. My name is David, and I'm a second lieutenant. I was instructed that you need our assistance in locating someone called Miranda. How do you feel about your connection with her?" David questioned Jane with a smile.
Jane quickly informed him, her eyes shining with sincerity:
"I do need to locate Miranda." "She and I are the greatest of friends."
"Doesn't she have any family here?" David inquired.
"No!" Jane gave a shaky nod. "We grew up in an orphanage together and moved here to live." We don't have any relatives or guardians."
"Okay!" David took up a pen and paper and continued to question Jane. "How long has it been since you last saw Miranda?"
"It was about a month ago. That day, she requested me to look after the flower store so that a special order for a girl could be delivered. It was the first time I witnessed a lady present flowers to her lover on his birthday." Jane stated.
"How about a month ago? How come you didn't come here sooner?" David scowled.
"It was because of my subjectivity." Miranda may have been disoriented, or I may be able to locate her using my link. As a result, I put off going to the police station to report it." Jane responded honestly.
David hesitated for a while and fixed his gaze on Jane. David sighed and replied, as if to ensure Jane had no ulterior motive in her delay in reporting Miranda's abduction.
"I have to tell you something, Jane. Miranda has been gone for a month, and there have been other killings in the area recently. Miranda will be more harder to discover as a result of your late reporting. We'll do our best to find her, but we're not sure how it will turn out. Do you get what I'm saying, Jane?
Jane inhaled deeply and nodded. "I understand, David," she said shakily, "but I'm not giving up on my aspirations."
"Excellent!" David gives her encouragement. "All right, let's get back to the narrative." Miranda, you claim, went missing after bringing flowers to an unknown girl. And this sequence is more special than any of the others. Could you please tell me more about this?"
"Miranda stated that she had purchased flowers for her boyfriend's birthday. It's a lily blossom. We've been planning to start a florist for nearly five years. This is the first example I've heard of in all that time. Miranda also vanished after bringing the flowers to that girl."
"Do you know where Miranda dropped off the flowers?"
While continuing interviewing Jane, David meticulously scribbled down pertinent facts.
"I'm not sure. Miranda did not leave any notes. However, our store has a camera, which I stored on a USB."
Jane cautiously opened her bag and placed a USB stick in front of David on the table. She went on to say,
"This is a video of Miranda conversing with that young lady. I hope that helps you find more leads to look into."
David examined the USB on the table and reached out to collect it, placing it in the document bag. "So where did you go to get Miranda?" he questioned Jane as he turned around.
"I traveled to Los Cars where we were adopted," Jane said swiftly. “I went to the wholesale flower business, which offered foam and flower baskets, through people we knew. Everyone there, however, claimed not to have seen Miranda."
"It appears that we have relatively few leads on this case. Please make your way home first. We will review the video you submitted and conduct more research. I will notify you if there is any fresh information."
"I appreciate it." Jane stated. "Please keep me updated on Miranda's whereabouts."
"Okay." David gave a nod. "Bye!"
Jane stood up, kissed David farewell, and exited the police station.
"Peter, play this video," David said to his subordinates as Jane's shadow vanished.
David's request was swiftly met by Peter. The footage is displayed on a wide screen. Andrea's picture appeared quite rapidly.
"Stop." David gave Peter the command.
"Wasn't it the same girl who was poisoned at her house last month?" David murmured something.
"You're correct, sir." Peter stated. "Hello, my name is Andrea Green. She died next to a bouquet of lilies, and we have yet to find the perpetrator of the crime."
"Could it be...?Who is Miranda?" David muttered and grimaced.
"Peter, please watch this video carefully. If you come across any other information, please notify me right away." David gave the command. "Henry, you examined the details of the girl Miranda Gray, who Jane was seeking for right away. Everyone worked rapidly on my report before noon today."
“Yes sir!” Everyone said the same thing.
