Chapter 152: Chapter 152

Flora returned to her seat, looking at the delicious spread on the table but having no appetite. It wasn't until Robin had his fill that everyone left the table and exited the restaurant.

Chloe and Linda went back to continue working, while Robin insisted on going to the children's world to play with Flora.

As they left the hotel, Flora timely reminded, "Little Young Master, don't tell your Big Brother whom you saw today when we get back, okay?"

"Why not?" Robin asked, puzzled.

"Anyway, you're not allowed to say," Flora said sternly. She couldn't let Maxwell know she had been to Moonlight Hotel and met Kevin; otherwise, Maxwell would be furious and might even beat her to death!

"Okay, got it," Robin replied, then tilted his head and asked, "Who was the person who looked like my Big Brother and Second Brother just now? Why does he look so much like them?"

"He said it was a coincidence," Flora replied casually, as she didn't know the reason herself.

After playing outside for an entire afternoon, the two decided to take a taxi back home. Passing through the men's clothing section, Flora stopped at the tie rack, gritted her teeth, and used the little money she had left to buy a light blue tie. Then they left the shopping mall and Robin called Maxwell.

Since private roads were inaccessible to taxis, the driver from the Smith Family mansion had to come to pick them up.

Robin moved the receiver away by ten inches, waiting for Maxwell to finish yelling before nervously saying, "Big Brother, we just walked around nearby and didn't go anywhere."

After hearing something on the other end, Robin quickly hung up the phone, stuck out his tongue at Flora, and said, "Big Brother is angry. Scary."

"What are you afraid of? Even if you dismantle the entire Smith Family, your Big Brother won't lay a finger on you," Flora rolled her eyes in exasperation, thinking that she was the one who should be afraid. She didn't know how Maxwell would deal with her.

"Remember, take all the responsibility. No matter what you're scolded for, say it was your idea, understand? A real man needs to have some gentlemanly demeanor, got it?" Flora repeated anxiously.

"I got it," Robin said impatiently, casting a glance at her. She had repeated this countless times, and he was tired of listening. He had never seen someone so verbose and lacking courage!

Finally, Flora felt relieved and stood with him in the shopping mall's parking lot, waiting for the car to come and pick them up.

The car arrived quickly, and then it swiftly headed towards the direction of the Smith Family mansion. Flora's heart kept pounding with unease, unsure if it was because she was about to return to the cage of the Smith Family or face Maxwell's wrath!

When they returned to the Smith Family mansion, it was almost dinner time.

Flora avoided everyone and quietly slipped away to the second floor, dragging Robin with her, who struggled and whispered, "Flora, let go of me! Big Brother isn't at home!"

"Then you should accompany me upstairs," Flora whispered back. At this time, Maxwell should be at home; how could he not be?

Sure enough, they bumped into the gloomy-faced Maxwell, as soon as they reached the second floor. Flora and Robin involuntarily gasped, unconsciously taking a step back.

It was Robin who reacted first, grinning as he greeted, "Hi, Big Brother..."

"Go to your room, take a shower, and change your clothes," Maxwell ordered sternly, staring at him.

"Yes, Big Brother," Robin breathed a sigh of relief, called out joyfully, and happily ran towards the bedroom.

In a hurry, Flora yelled at his retreating figure, "Hey! Don't go!" She was truly speechless. They had agreed that he would take responsibility for everything. She knew this guy's promises were as unreliable as the weather forecast. She had experienced his tendency to promise and not deliver, and today she believed him—she felt really stupid. Flora cursed herself repeatedly in her heart.

Robin had long forgotten what he had promised her. Seeing Maxwell's expression, how could he care about anything else? Escaping was the top priority.

Flora watched angrily as he disappeared down the corridor. The second floor instantly fell silent, and Flora felt the hairs on her body stand on end. Lowering her small face, she forced a wry smile, then looked up at Maxwell, chuckling, "Big Young Master, you should know it was Little Young Master who wanted to play, so..."

"So you disappeared with him?" Maxwell roared angrily. When he found these two missing, he was beyond nervous. His first thought was that Flora had escaped again, taking Robin with her!

Unfortunately, these two had no means of communication, and there was no trace of them. Maxwell had dispatched many people to search for them everywhere. Although he didn't believe Flora would do something harmful to Robin, and he knew they got along well, there was still some anxiety in his heart, especially considering how deeply Flora hated him.

"He's the one who took me away. We just walked around nearby, and we even got you a gift." Flora quickly produced the prepared prop, the tie she had spent quite a bit of money on, hoping to win a little favor from him and maybe get a lighter punishment.

Maxwell glanced at the gift in front of him, slightly surprised. Just as he was about to utter angry words, they got stuck in his throat. And with her innocent expression, he felt a mix of hatred and helplessness.

Seeing him at a loss for words, Flora continued to change the subject, "How about it? Is this color okay? If not, I'll exchange it tomorrow." Fortunately, his expression seemed to ease up a bit.

But just as Maxwell had slightly softened, he heard her next words. His face darkened again, staring at her scornfully, "Exchange? Do you think I will let you walk out of this gate again?"
