CEO's Sweet But Cold Wife

~At resturant~

“Kristi, Good morning.”

“Good morning.”

Everyone greeted each other with a delighted smile so as Kristi.

“Kristi, You look sad. Are you okay? Is something wrong?” Simon inquired.

“Huh? No. Nothing at all.” A wry smile took a place in her pale face.

Simon gently patted her shoulder “Are you worried about Feng?”

A dejected smile replaced her wry smile with a sigh “It’s not like, I can hide from you, head chef. Yeah, I'm worried about Feng. He wanted me to fetch him at school, but even with my refusal, he still smiled trying to hide his sad face. He can't sleep without me but even so, he agreed to stay home being a good boy just for me when I informed him, I won't be able to come home tonight. Isn't my boy brave?”

Simon smiled “Yeah, After all, he is your son. Like Mother, Like Son.”

Kristi shook her head disagreeing with him “You’re wrong. He is nothing like me. He is strong, brave, nothing like me.”

“So, Are you indicating to yourself that, You're not brave or strong? If so then, You are wrong, Kristi. You are the very brave woman, I've ever met in my life. I mean it. So, Just don't get dejected. If Feng found out that, you are sad right now, he will feel guilty as if it’s his fault, right? So, Why don't you just smile? A smile suits you better than that of a dejected face.”

A sweet smile took a place in her soft lips with a slight chuckle “Yeah, You're right.” She took a deep breath as a thought crossed her mind “I'll take him to the museum tomorrow. I'm sure, He will be very pleased.”

Simon smiled feeling glad “Right!” He then remembered about an important matter “Oh... By the way, You know right, Tonight the whole restaurant is going to be reserved by a V.I.P person?”

Kristi nods her head “Yeah, I do.”

“Then,” Simon smiled “I’m sure you know too that, if we succeed tonight, We'll get a great bonus for this month and more importantly, You will have a great opportunity for promotion to be a head chef.”

“Yeah, So that’s why, I can't let go this opportunity out of my hand too. I'll do my best tonight.”

This opportunity was very important for her. If she gets a promotion then, she will be able to earn more money so that, she doesn’t have to worry about fulfilling Feng every desire which she was to fill every desires, needs, everything she could for Feng. This was the opportunity once for life.

Everyone were busy and preparing for tonight dinner hoping to be the best.

~At night 10:30 P.M~

Nina hurriedly came to the kitchen where Kristi, Simon, Emma and Jack (Head chef ~Same position as Simon~) were making the dishes.

Each of them were making each dishes.

“Chef, They've arrived. Is dishes all ready?” She asked anxiously.

Emma nodded “Yeah, it’s all prepared. Weren't they coming at 11?”

Kristi nodded her head with a frown “Yeah, The time was 11. Anyways,” A soft smile took place in her soft lips “Glad, We had prepared everything ahead.”

Emma smiled agreeing with her “Right! More importantly, It's just a surprised that, they, a high post person has come to our restaurant.”

There was a anxious voice from behind “Chef Emma! There is a big trouble.”

“Trouble?” Emma frown “What happened?”

“Red Lobster! Our main dish, it tastes awful.” Jack informed showing the dishes on plate.

Simon and Emma tried and it truly taste awful.

“How could this happen?” Simon frown.

Nina was nervous “What do we do now?”

Just then, they heard a voice from behind. It was Mia (Waiter).

“Chef, Boss is ordering to take the dishes to our V.I.P customer. Please, Hurry up.”

All of them were anxious. The main problem was, Chef had to go no matter what. Neither, Simon, Emma or Jack could stay to remake it.

Kristi walked forward “I... I'll do it.”

All of there gazes fall on Kristi.

Emma was happy to hear it but still was worried. “But, We haven't taught you, how to make this dishes and—”

“Trust her.” Simon said looking at Emma with a faith in his eyes that, Kristi can do it.

Jack also added on behalf of supporting her “Yeah, Believe in Kristi now. We need to go now. Hurry up! There is no time.”

Emma sighed “Alright then.” Then she glances at Kristi with a trust “Best of luck.”

Kristi smiled “Sure! Thank you.”

Simon, Jack and Emma went straight to the table with two dishes in each of their hand where two V.I.P person were sitting facing each other.

They served the dishes on the table with respect.

Kristi was making the Red Lobster with full of her heart.

The boss who was standing at the sight of those two V.I.P person didn't saw Red Lobster. The main dish. He was apprehensive but letting out in front of those V.I.P would cause a problem and more importantly, he can't let them know, right?

On the table, An elegant lady with a red sexy body con dress was sitting. Her grey eye with round eye brow, and top heavy lips with perfect jawline was making her gorgeous with her beautiful curly hair to her shoulder.

The soft and elegant voice reached their ear “I can't see the Red Lobster. May I know why?” there was a hint of disappointment in her voice.

The boss was terrified, as if his soul was leaving his body “Well...” He gave a quick glances at Simon.

Simon spoke up “Apologise for the trouble, Ma'am. It is the main dish for tonight so, It would be better if you taste at last. If you don’t mind.”

“Is that so? Sure then.”

They gave a sigh of relief in their heart secretly.

“But— I need it right now. Of course, I'll eat at last but I need it right now. Can you bring it right now?”

The soul which was coming back to boss body was again leaving his body.

Emma and jack were panicked. Simon brace “Ma'am—”

“Just do it fast. Don’t make us wait. Hurry!”

Simon was in daze unable to think anything.

“Ma’am, Here's the dish.” Simon heard the familiar voice from behind. It was Kristi.

She put the dish on the table and apologised “I apologised, Ma'am. I—”

“Alright! Alright! All of you can go now. Don’t disturb us.”

Kristi and others bowed their head showing respect and leaved quietly without disturbing them.

Boss walked forward wiping the sweat from his forehead “M-Ma’am, Sir, Do—”

“I said leave.” Her voice was cold and their was a hint of warning to him.

“Y-Yes, Sure.” Restaurant boss also leaved quietly.

At the kitchen, Nina was angrily scold her in a low voice “What the hell is wrong with that lady? If it weren't for boss and bonus, I would have show her real place.”

Kristi slightly smiled “Calm down! Calm down! It’s only for today. It’s not like they will be coming here forever. Right?”

Nina took a deep breath trying to calm down “Right! But I still hate her. I mean it but did you saw the face of that man in black suit with that wrecked lady? Damn! How could anyone be so handsome? Handsome face like that, I have only seen in T.V But more importantly, looking at him, I feel like, I’ve seen him somewhere.” A person crossed her mind “Ahh... He looks like Feng. Yeah, it feels like, Feng and that Man in black suit are duplication of each other.”

Kristi whole body got stiff as if she was frozen down “What do you mean?” She hastily asked.

“Ah, Sorry, Sorry. I apologised. It seems I’ve crossed my line. Please don’t take into your heart. I just felt like that.” Nina apologised as she felt like, she shouldn’t have put that way after knowing that, Kristi was a single mother who is struggling for her son.

Kristi hastily came out and looked at his face from far a little away with her heart beating fast as if her heart could come out of her body at any time with her figure crossed. She could clearly see his face.

Her whole body got stiff as if she was frozen at the middle of ice. She couldn't believe before her eye.
