As soon as the two enter the function hall, all eyes were on Dante, shocking look was paste on most of the face, shock to see him with a girl.

Why are they staring at us like that? Barbara asked, she is getting uncomfortable with the spotlight, not like this is her first time attending a party like this but she is never the center of attraction.

Hey my mentor, is here with a lovely woman. Kang greet him with a nice genuine smile and turn his gaze to Barbara, Dante know that Kang will not stop pestering him, so he introduced Barbara as his girlfriend.

Barbara and Dante were eating and having small gossip about the party

The light go dim the host welcome everyone as he mount the stage and then introduce Mr Oliver to stage to give a little speech.

Mr Oliver in turn give his speech, he thank different people in his speech and one of the people were Dante, Dante pin his eyes to the floor like he didn't hear the old man take his name, Barbara turn to see who the old man had been showering praise on, the person must be really good, so good that her friend is crushing on him.

Barbara flip her eyes through the crowd, then it seems the people in this party are unknown to her, she just decided to give it a rest.

Mr Oliver, invitees are much and they also include celebrities but she haven't set her eyes on that tramp that call herself Jasmine, so she felt that today might be her lucky day but hell no, Dante is trouble himself, how could she stay beside Dante and not get into problem.

Barbara smile fade away as soon as a lady climb the stage, the young lady is staring at Dante right from the stage.

Is she one of those who worshipped at your temple? Barbara whisper sarcastically, Dante almost choke on his food, of all the people to invite, Scarlett had to be one of the invitee, although he is not sure of Scarlett drama but he have to play safe.

Barbara titter at his words, Dante could be a sweet talker, his used of words is admirable, since he is whispering to her, he need to be more closer to her, this drag him more to her, inhaling her sweet smile, not knowing that his breath his causing discomfort to Barbara

Dante mind is far from what Barbara is doing to him, his mind is haywire with every single move of her, as she giggled, touch him unconsciously, when her finger blush his hand, he could feel his nerves get hot again. He curse inwardly. He need to control himself, if not, he will be in great danger, he had forgotten how many times he had clear his throat to sound normal.

The young lady step down from the stage, Barbara would had been one of her fans even if she is not a celebrity because she speaks well, she is not only beautiful but got brain as well.

She is wearing a gorgeous v neckline with a deep cut on her back exposing the lovely back of hers, the dress is neatly embroidered fitting her nice shape.

She is beautiful. Barbara said mentally, she doesn't see reason why the naughty Dante might not like the lady even Barbara, he too doesn't like her.

Dante stroke her back taking her unaware, she froze with that act of his, still in that torment, Dante whisper to her. "She is approaching"

That wasn't Dante intention of stroking her back, he felt that she is lost in her own world, he need to bring her back to planet Earth and still doesn't want her to scold him

Scarlett attention was divided before she got to Dante, Barbara breath out, she felt relief that she is not going to fight another battle.

Hey miss, I need to borrow your man. Mr Olivia voice came up in front of the two. Barbara only nodded to indicate her approval, in as much as Dante doesn't want to leave her alone, he had no choice than to.

I will be back shortly and don't leave this spot. Barbara smirked and nodded like the child Dante want her to act like.

Dante didn't think Barbara is friendly, she socialize really good, she could keep a good conversation, his face paste with nice smile, discussing with Mr Oliver, his eyes didn't leave her.

Apart from wanting to keep Barbara save from Scarlett, who he can't tell how aggressive she is, maybe men might want to prey on her and that is not what he want at this point in time.

Scarlett get a glass of wine for herself, she is watching Barbara so many thoughts on her head about this stupid woman with her man, the man, she is trying to used business to tie down, now this loony will enjoy everything that she ever dream of. That will not happen, not now not even in the future.
