It's almost noon and neither Kate nor Anna has arrived yet I knew I shouldn't have left her out my sight, but a sixth sense is making me believe that she's in danger

I shouldn't have let that girl out of my sight,who knows what she has done to Anna??"

I curse myself in between pacing about the room

"She probably saw this as an opportunity to escape and had staked Anna, or she could be in danger"!

I kept thinking of a logical explanation why they hadn't returned

Sire!! There's a problem"

I turned around to behold Anna standing there with fright, apparently she had been involved in a fight and the marks on her face proved my suspicions

What happened Anna? And where is the lady you went shopping with??"

I growl at her,anger taking the better part of me and my eyes blazing in fury

I tried sire, but they were too many,they attacked us and took her away"

She cries in a tone that might break into tears any moment from now but that wasn't the issue at hand

What do you mean by they attacked you Anna?? Speak up before you find your heart across the room"

I yell in annoyance at her dilly dally to spill the bean

The wolves attacked us and they have Katerina" With dreary eyes she dropped the bomb

It took me a few minutes to register her words,to think that Katerina hadn't tried to escape but

had been kidnapped was unbelievable but yet it was true

Anna had been our personal maid since the day she was turned,she would never lie

Take me to the spot where it happened now!!!"

I roar at her unable to conceal my anger anymore even though I know it wasn't her fault but I'd never forgive her if something happened to Kate.

Leading me to the shortcut where they had taken,I could still smell her scent, Katerina had truly been here,but she wasn't any longer, even the shopping bag and her clothes were proof enough that she was once here.

The leaves on the floor were scattered,more like there had been a struggle

Go home Anna, I'll track her down"

I turn to Anna who was already looking around for clues

There seems to be blood here sire"

She says to me but even before she completes her statement,I'm by her side already and sure enough there's blood belonging to Kate.

I dip my hands to the blood and taste it,sure enough they were Kate's blood

Focusing deeply to nature,I use a sixth sense I could feel deep within the woods a haughty remark that I knew only Kate can utter, accompanied by a slap and a scream from her

I dash in the direction of the noise, and of course there was Kate tied to a chair with blood dripping down her face, she looked like she was in so much pain and indeed she was

Hasn't it been told to you fellows that I don't share my stuff with other people??"

I growl with fury, my fangs all out ready to attack the people that capture my princess

Well well well, if it isn't prince Damian come down from the high and mighty throne to greet his subjects"!!

A voice which I couldn't recognize as one of our specie says to me in a tone full of mockery

Let her go,she doesn't have an issue with you"

I yell at the guy that had spoken with all the venom that I could muster up

But of course she has an issue with us, she's connected to you,and that's a problem for her" The volunteer that later identified itself as Jackson say to me with more contempt

From the corner of my eyes I can see Kate trying to reach the knife that's showing out in her gown sleeves, this girl wouldn't cease to amaze me

Trying to distract the guys so as to give Kate more time I try speaking but I'm shocked with what follows next

Three of the guys out of the five suddenly stoop to the ground growling in pain, they seemed to be changing

Oh shit!!"

I curse under my breath enough for them all to hear including Kate because she stops and looks up, a little gasp of fear escaping her lips

Fully transformed stood three gigantic were wolves, heading towards my direction

Glancing quickly at Kate,I can see that she's already cut her bond loose and is just waiting for me to lunge first

Good girl, at least she didn't take things into her own hands

With my fangs all out and my powers at it's peak,I lunge for the wolves and smack two out with my paws but the third just jumps and cuts me between the thighs

I try to stand but could feel the pain on my thighs, a were wolves scrap to a vampire is poisonous but it's bite is even more deadly

But its more deadly to a human, looking from the corner of my eyes, I make out Kate cutting one of the wolves in the neck as it immediately slumps to the floor dead.

It's body hitting the floor gets the attention of the others and at that split moment that they're distracted I have enough time,

I bite the third wolf in the neck, causing it to transform back to it's human self

With all the wolves down, I turned to look at Kate who was standing there with a knife and blood stains on her hands and gown

Walking up to her, although I'm in pain cause of the cut in my thigh " Are you alright"

I manage to ask her in between gasping in pain

Damn that bruise is deadly, shouldn't you be healing all up right now?"

She bends to her feet as she inspects the wound at the same touching the spot

I should be but I can't if I don't take the remedy, a werewolf bite is disastrous for a vampire or even a human

I try explaining to her before a voicemail cuts me shut

Oh my God, sire are you okay?" Anna asks from behind us

Way to go showing up when the fight was already over and I'm hurt

Do I look okay to you Anna?"

I rhetorically ask her with a big frown on my face

We better get you home before this thing turns into an infection"

Kate says to me in tone that I depict as care, she actually cared that I was hurt, well that's a first

I'll go back and get some guards to come help you sire"

Anna who I think was getting uncomfortable with the situation, whooshes away to go bring help

Here,you can lean on me,while you lead the way home

Kate offers me her hands for the first time since I've captured her

Not that I refused, which I wouldn't still have done if I wasn't in pain

I rest my weight but not all of it on her as I lead the way back to the castle

Walking in silence for a few minutes,I could feel her trying to build the tension to say something, although I had a lot to say too but I wasn't in the condition to do so

Thank you for coming for me"

She says in the softest of voice that I had ever heard from her

Of course I heard her,I just wanted to rub it in

I'm sorry what did you say,I didn't get that last part" I smirk to myself, waiting for her response

Rolling her eyes at me, something I've come to believe is a tradition of hers

I said thank you for coming for me"

She says loudly this time, probably to get me from asking the question again and get on her nerves

She suddenly stops moving,and I'm forced to look at her face but it seems her gaze is directed to something behind me, I slowly turn to behold another wolf

Can this day get any better?"

I yell out in frustration, clinging her close to my side

But as I cling to her, I feel her slipping downwards out of my grasp, I turn to look at her and she's gasping for air, as the cut in her neck drips blood

Bloody hell a wolf bit her!!!!

Damian's POV

Bloody hell a wolf bit her!!!

Hey,you're gonna be okay,I need you to keep opening your eyes,don't lose consciousness princess

I was slowly losing my consciousness even as I told her to hold on, damn the scratch from that wolf was having it's toll on me

It scratched me,it didn't bite me Damian"

With those words from her mouth she lost consciousness

I needed to get her to the castle and fast too,but just I tried placing her on my back,I felt my whole body go numb, I fell to the floor with a thud and just before I completely went out I could see two guy's picking Kate lifeless body from the ground, hopefully it would be Anna who's returned with the guards.

I could hear voices but couldn't figure out who it was before I opened my eyes,my instinct were already at alert

He's awake already'

He was lifeless when we found him,now we just need to find a cure for him"

Different voices kept blabbing in the room at a pitch that was getting annoyingly disturbing and too loud for me

Could you all shut up and keep your yapping down?

I try yelling in a voice that I couldn't believe was my own

It seemed so frail and whiny, a far cry from the intimidating voice I used to exhibit

I tried sitting up but couldn't, mainly because I couldn't feel my legs, after several attempts I felt someone give me a hand in sitting upright

I looked up to see my father,my elder brother and Anna but no sign of Kate anywhere

Where is she Anna"?

I give a questioning gaze to Anna demanding an answer but her drooping eyes to the floor confirmed my doubts to her whereabouts

Is she"?

I couldn't even complete the statement for fear that it might be true

Anna must have sensed the unfinished statement as she quickly replied me

Oh no sire,she's not dead or so we hope, we just can't find her yet"

She tells me in a voice so laden with emotion that I feared to believe her

I tried standing up from the bed but felt a hand push me back,I looked up to see who had pushed me back to behold my father

You can't move an inch son or you'll die, the wolfs venom is working fast, and if you over use your strength you might die

My father said to me, I'm so surprised this is coming from a man who had never cared a heck about me

I can't stay lying down here while she's in danger"

I rasp in a hoarse that I'm yet to believe is mine

We'll find her,not like we have a better option,she's the only person that can keep you alive right now our best guess is that the wolves have her"

My father scoffs to me as he says that

Oliver,you need to find her and bring her here unhurt"

My father turns to my brother as he orders him

If you lay a finger to her head I'll kill you"

I say to him with a wicked glare in my eyes

I won't, besides she's the only cure for you"

Oliver says to me with that snobbish smirk loitering in his face

Turning a questioning gaze to father because I needed an explanation to what Oliver just said but as expected,he just stood up and left without a word, same with Oliver leaving only Anna in the room

Isn't there something you should be telling me Anna"?

I raise my eyebrows at Anna who seemed to be looking for an excuse to leave the room along with the others

I should get you a pain relieving tonic sire,I'll be back

Then trying to walk out as if she hadn't heard me ask her a question

Don't ignore my question Anna,this is all your fault in the first place"

I could feel the fury slipping into my voice with each statement that I made

I'm not supposed to tell you sire"

She drops her eyes down and she fumbles with her fingers

Tell me what Anna?"

That only the miss blood can heal you,and she has to willingly let you drink from her else you'd die,

She says with apprehension in her voice,then as quickly as she had said it,she walked out of the room immediately probably to avoid more questions from me

My head kept swirling with thoughts,what if she doesn't give me her blood willingly?? Or what happens if she dies from the wolf bites??

But then it clicked immediately,what Kate was trying to tell me before she fell unconscious

Yes that's exactly what she had said before

That means she wasn't bitten, making this whole situation more easy and more complicated

If she's not bitten,then she'll need a royal vampires blood to heal her so either way we both need each other

She needs my blood as much as I need hers....

With that thought sorted out,I felt more void than I had been when I woke up....
