Chapter 262: Chapter 262
Bo Xichen chuckled, buttoning up his shirt.
This girl is getting stranger by the day, he thought, shaking his head. Always busy with goodness knows what!
However, the wild ginseng Mr. Li had given her was indeed excellent. Anxi rarely felt inexplicably drowsy anymore and seemed much more energetic. Bo Xichen himself had his father find another high-quality root from their storeroom to continue preparing for Anxi.
Gu Anxi fetched a pink card from the sofa and, on a blank space, drew a hairless Da Hui.
After finishing the drawing, she looked at Bo Xichen, her eyes sparkling.
Bo Xichen was examining some data on his laptop. "Gu Anxi," he said, his voice elegant, "if I find out you’ve done anything mischievous, you’re doomed."
She hid the drawing, then scampered to his side, tossed his laptop aside, and said with great earnestness, "Little Uncle, I really want to die right now."
"Oh, really?" He laughed, then leisurely closed the laptop, turning his full attention to Gu Anxi.
「The next day at noon, at the Gu residence in Beicheng.」
Madam Gu Ning had once again locked her office door. She excitedly tore open an express mailer. Inside was a pink card.
TO: Da Hui’s Little Fairy
Your hairless Da Hui~ Love you~
On the card was a drawing of a bedroom. Da Hui was lying there languidly, a black shirt strewn to the side.
Master Rabbit had removed Da Hui’s fur~~
Only that devastatingly handsome tail remained, swept to one side, fluffy and sensual.
Madam Gu Ning’s eyes widened. "OMG~~ This is an absolute outrageous fantasy!!!"
She clutched the card to her heart, then lifted it to plant several enthusiastic kisses on it. "Love you, my dear Da Hui!"
She then logged onto the Yunfeng website and sent a private message to Rabbit Da Da: [Received it~ Thank you, Rabbit Da Da~]
Meanwhile, Gu Anxi was attending her last class of the semester at Qing University. Upon receiving the private message from Da Hui’s Little Fairy, she sighed. Little Uncle is truly a treasure trove!
At noon, Gu Anxi left Qing University. Wang Qin, her face flushed, had arranged to meet her at Beicheng University.
Gu Anxi drove to the Gu Corporation, discussed a few matters with Zhou Yunchen, and then went to the Gu family villa.
Wang Keru was very reluctant to let her go. She originally wanted to accompany her but didn’t feel at ease leaving Gu Yuntian alone, so she decided to stay.
Grandma Chen was also loath to see her leave, but when she thought about those youngsters in Beicheng, she felt a headache coming on and decided it was better to remain in Qingcheng.
The two elders repeatedly gave her instructions, and Gu Anxi nodded like a chick pecking at grain. Finally, she said, "Besides, Little Uncle will be there to take care of me."
Grandma Chen nodded sagely. "With Xichen looking after her, we can certainly rest assured."
She glanced at Wang Keru.
Wang Keru miraculously held back her tears. Newest update provıded by 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡~𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙚~𝙣𝙚𝙩
Grandma Chen continued, "Our Anxi isn’t going to Beicheng to beg for a living! She’s going there to bring honor to our ancestors. And it’s the reputation of your Old Gu family of Qingcheng that she’ll be upholding! What’s there to cry about!"
She then ground her teeth and thoroughly cursed the couple, Gu Yuanshan and Tang Yuan.
Gu Anxi had long grown accustomed to Grandma Chen’s fierce demeanor. In fact, she felt more at ease knowing her mother would be staying in Qingcheng with Grandma Chen.
No matter how reluctant she was to leave, she still had to go to Beicheng.
My father has to be saved, and the truth still needs to be found!
When Bo Xichen came to pick her up, Gu Anxi only had a small suitcase with her; Bo Xichen’s mother had already prepared everything else.
As soon as the private jet landed, Gu Anxi felt the chill.
She was so cold her teeth were chattering. Bo Xichen draped a heavy coat over her shoulders, chiding, "You never like to wear an overcoat."
Gu Anxi, her survival instincts on full display, immediately hugged the coat tightly around herself, practically trying to shrink into his chest, looking as if she couldn’t walk independently.
The flight attendants disembarking from the private jet chuckled at the sight. Bo Xichen looked down at her. "Anxi, aren’t you embarrassed?"
She wasn’t embarrassed in the slightest and boldly hugged his waist.
Bo Xichen smiled, and once they reached the parking lot, he opened the door to a supercar, reminding her, "Fasten your seatbelt."
She murmured an "Oh," fastened it, then tilted her head to look at Bo Xichen. "Let’s go to Beicheng University first. I need to register today."
Bo Xichen gazed at her with a smile. "You still need to register?"
She hummed in affirmation.
Bo Xichen checked the time. "I have a meeting soon. I’ll drop you off at the university and pick you up when you’re done. Or I can have my mother come get you?"
He chuckled. "She’s probably worn a groove in the floor from pacing while waiting at home."
Gu Anxi was biting her finger while playing on her phone. She mumbled absently, "Mother Bo said that even if we broke up, I could still live at Si Garden and be her little darling."
Bo Xichen raised an eyebrow, leaning in dangerously. "Gu Anxi, what did you just say?"
Gu Anxi put down her phone, leaned back against the seat, and laughed, looking quite pleased. "I’m definitely not with you just because Father Bo and Mother Bo dote on me, Bo Xichen. My feelings for you are genuine."
"That sounds rather scummy of you," he said, patting her head. "Don’t use the same tactics on me that you use to handle your mother!"
Gu Anxi retorted, "When did I ever use tactics? It’s clearly your own capabilities that are lacking!"
Bo Xichen, who had been about to drive, paused. He turned his head, his voice exceptionally soft. "Gu Anxi, my capabilities are lacking?"
Gu Anxi stammered, "P-please forgive me this once!"
Bo Xichen snorted lightly. "Gu Anxi, you’re doomed!"
She mistakes my consideration for her as a lack of capability!
He dropped her off at the gates of Beicheng University. It was exactly three in the afternoon. As she got out of the car, Gu Anxi dragged her feet. "Little Uncle, are you really not going to forgive me this once?"
Bo Xichen smiled faintly. "I’m willing to forgive you, but my mother’s Benz won’t forgive you."
Gu Anxi was speechless.
She immediately opened the car door, hopped out, and made a face at him.
Bo Xichen watched her enter the university gates, then shook his head with a smile and drove off.
When Gu Anxi entered Beicheng University, the gate guard did a double take. Where did such a striking young lady come from? I haven’t seen her before. If I had, I definitely wouldn’t have forgotten her.
At Beicheng University, arrangements had already been made by none other than Tang Yuan.
Tang Yuan had acted at Gu Mingzhu’s request. Gu Mingzhu had been particularly averse to Gu Anxi coming to Beicheng University, especially after learning that Gu Anxi was also a child of the Gu family.
Gu Mingzhu thoroughly disliked this elder sister who was prettier than her, had beaten her in a motorcycle race, and hailed from a small place like Qingcheng. Therefore, she had Tang Yuan pull some strings to assign Gu Anxi to the department overseen by the strictest head at Beicheng University.
「Department of Computer Science.」
The Department of Computer Science had hardly any female students; it was filled with rough-around-the-edges guys, but every one of them was an elite.
Not only were they elites, but nearly all of them also came from wealthy families!
Jiang Wanyin, originally from Beicheng University’s Department of Computer Science, had been transferred back just last month. Then there was Chu Yan, hitherto the sole female student in the department. With Gu Anxi’s arrival, there would now be two.
Gu Mingzhu simply wanted to make things difficult for her. She’d heard Gu Anxi was in the fine arts program at Qing University and was a decent artist, but she likely had zero experience with a technical major like computer science. She’ll fail all sorts of subjects and be constantly harassed by the professors...
