Chapter 216: Chapter 216
Bo Xichen went to the bathroom alone and cleaned the Jade Ruyi under the faucet.
Thinking about the recent events, his handsome face felt slightly hot.
Later, he placed the Jade Ruyi on his desk to use as a paperweight.
Feng Mian stretched. Seeing that the other two were still asleep, he began tidying up.
While tidying Bo Xichen’s desk, he found a Jade Ruyi. Judging by its color and patterns, it looked like an antique.
Feng Mian picked it up to examine it, then sniffed it and frowned, muttering to himself, "Since when did Young Master Bo develop a taste for antiques?"
He put it down and continued cleaning.
Just then, Gu Anxi came out of the bedroom and saw Feng Mian sniffing the Jade Ruyi.
Suddenly, she felt as if she had been electrocuted.
She ran back in. Bo Xichen was dressing, his movements elegant and quite pleasing to the eye.
Gu Anxi ran over and hugged his waist from behind, whispering, "I just saw Feng Mian smelling that Jade Ruyi. He seemed quite engrossed by it. Bo Xichen, should I tell him the truth?"
Bo Xichen’s movements slowed. He then caught the little troublemaker behind him, pinned her against the wall, and leaned in. His voice was low, intimate yet dangerous as he said, "Say that again, Gu Anxi."
Gu Anxi looked at him teasingly. "I want to tell Feng Mian..."
Before she could finish, she was punished.
When Gu Anxi walked out, her face was burning.
So much for ’gentle as jade.’ That doesn’t exist.
’Cultured scoundrel’ is the most fitting description for Dr. Bo, Professor Bo, she complained to Feng Mian.
Feng Mian grinned. "You just like him, don’t you? Oh, right, it’s not just ’like,’ it’s ’infatuation.’"
Gu Anxi covered her face.
So Mother Bo even told Feng Mian about the ’infatuation’ comment!
Bo Xichen brought breakfast over and warned Feng Mian lightly, "Don’t bully her."
Feng Mian bit into his sandwich. "How would I dare bully her? She’s the fierce one in a fight. I heard she hit President Qin last night, and the Qin family is thinking of suing the ’little one’."
"With me around, where could they possibly file a complaint?" Bo Xichen said coolly. "Send a file to Qin Han’s office; he’ll know what to do."
Feng Mian smiled faintly.
Then a ruthless expression crossed his face. "True. The Qin family has been far too arrogant in Qingcheng these past years and has offended many people. Just revealing a little something could land him in prison for eight or ten years."
The next second, he turned to Gu Anxi with a grin. "See? Your uncle treats you so well."
After drinking half a glass of milk, Gu Anxi mimicked Feng Mian’s grin. "Yes, very well indeed. He even brought me a gift. Feng Mian, isn’t that Jade Ruyi rather nice?"
Bo Xichen watched her silently.
Feng Mian, oblivious to the story behind the Jade Ruyi, nodded. "Indeed, it’s quite nice. The patterns are distinct, the gemstones are all high quality, and each one is quite large. It’s a top-grade piece."
Gu Anxi hummed in agreement. "My uncle likes it very much; he even insisted I like it too."
Feng Mian, clueless as ever, said, "I quite like it too."
Bo Xichen continued to watch Gu Anxi silently.
This kid, she’s learned to be mischievous. Latest content publıshed on 𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝※𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖※𝕟𝕖𝕥
But wasn’t he the one who taught her?
After breakfast, Bo Xichen offered to take Gu Anxi to school, but she said she had other things to do that day.
"Do you need my help?" He smiled and gently ruffled her hair.
Gu Anxi stuck out her tongue. "It’s my secret."
"Oh, so the little one has secrets now." He bent down and murmured, "Did you have fun last night?"
