Ayushi was appalled when she saw Dhruv on the doorstep. What was he doing here? She questioned herself ghastly.

"Wha..t are you..." Ayushi couldn't even form a sentence in the concussion of viewing her ex-husband whom she had divorced eight months ago. Old traumatic memories clouded her mind, while tears started blotting her vision. Why were traumatic things happening with her today?

He strode inside the room with small steps, still staring at her eyes with his eyes full of guilt, remorse, and pain.

"Ananya...just call the police. This man killed my baby, now he has come to kill my other two babies too. He wants to destroy me. Call the police, please," Ayushi shouted out loudly while hyperventilating and Ananya immediately rushed to her side and tried to pacify her but Ayushi was just pushing her away from her, compelling her to call the police, while wiping off the treacherous tears that were flowing down her beautiful eyes when she saw him.

How could he kill her baby! How could he come back to her life again! How could he! Wasn't he still satisfied with the tortures and scars that he had inflicted on her? Wasn't he still convinced that her life was nothing but a living hell?

"Ayushi, calm down, please. You're stressing yourself, it's not good for your health," Ananya's words were unheard by Ayushi as she was busy looking at Dhruv with her angry, hurtful eyes.

"That was your son whom you killed! Don't you have any heart? How could you! You've had problems with me then why did you kill my innocent baby, why?" Ayushi wailed out loudly and cried like anything, putting her hands on her face. Her cries were disturbing Dhruv and Ananya, it was too mournful and depressing to see her in this state.

"Ayushi, it's not what you are thinking. Your baby was too weak, doctors tried their best, but they couldn't save him," Ananya tried to make her friend understand but it was like Ayushi had vowed to not to listen to anyone.

"Just shut up. This man can do anything, he hates me that much and even after knowing everything, you're taking his side? Wow, just wow Ananya. I didn't know my friend was this deceitful," Ayushi glared at Ananya with unknown hate for her that was erupting within her. The loss of her baby had made her so wretched and despairing that even she didn't know what she was saying which was piercing both Ananya and Dhruv's heart.

"Ayushi!" Dhruv shouted in dismay when he saw that her eyes started to close on their own, unfortunately, she again blacked out.

"Call the doctor immediately," he rushed towards her side and put her head carefully on the pillow. She was too weak now, both mentally and physically and he knew that her outburst was all because of his sudden appearance.

He sighed in guilt and moved away from her as the doctor too had come now.

"Please don't give her any kind of tension. She's very weak and ailing, don't forget that she had just lost her child, so please don't stress her," the doctor warned in a strict tone, now glaring at Dhruv.

"I'm her husband, Dhruv Singh Rajput," he introduced himself and the doctor rolled back her eyes at his reply.

"I know Mr Rajput. But as I never saw you with Ayushi, as I always saw that sweet Sardarji accompanying her for the checkups, I thought that he was her husband not you but now I know," the doctor declared out deliberately and moved out of the room after injecting Ayushi.

"I have to fix a lot of things," Dhruv sighed out in tiredness and sat on the couch which was placed inside the room when his eyes landed on the two cradles that he just noticed now. His other two babies were in those cribs, whom he had not even seen, forget about taking them in his arms as he was too much drowned in the agony of his other baby's death.

"My babies," he whispered out in amazement and rushed towards their side, forgetting all his agony and pains.

"How adorable!" he breathed out in content, feeling remarkably complete now. He was the father of two cute babies now, one boy and one girl.

"Dhruv, you need to repent a lot because I know how much broken my friend is because of you, but I also know that these innocent babies and even Ayushi need you to be with them, this world is too cruel and sadistic for a single mother and her babies, Dhruv. Please fix everything soon," Ananya was crying by now and left the room, giving the alone time which Dhruv needed with his family. Dhruv understood every word what Ananya just said now and he vowed to himself that he'd make everything right.

He took one of his babies in his arms who just awakened now from her deep sleep. She looked at her father with her big-doe like eyes which her father too possessed. He smiled and cried at the same time, looking at the innocent baby who was his blood, his flesh.

"I already love you so much, my princess," he kissed her forehead gently. Her pink towel wrapped around her soft body had confirmed to him that she was his daughter.

He cooed at her and played with her for some more time and all the time she was staring at him, like trying to recognize him. Eventually, she too slept. After putting her back to her cradle, Dhruv took out his son in his arms and was amazed by seeing the similarities of his son with his mother.

"My prince," he kissed his forehead and after looking at him with adoration for some more time, finally he put him back in the cradle and moved towards where Ayushi was sleeping now. He took her hands in his and kissed them so softly.

"Thank you for giving me the best gift of my life, Aayuuu. Thank you for making me a father. Thank you for giving me these cute babies. Now, I promise to you Ayushi, your life would no longer be the same. It will be full of happiness, love, and care. I'm ready to do anything for your forgiveness, I love you so much," he kissed her forehead lovingly and slept there only, putting his head on the bed near her chest not knowing how much he had to suffer for the forgiveness from his wife.

The succeeding day, Ayushi was already inside her house now and Ananya was staying with her as Ayushi was still weak and needed help to even walk properly. Ananya's mother-in-law had just left a few moments ago and now after having some dinner, Ayushi was roaming inside her room. Her mind was still in chaos, thinking about the possibilities of why Dhruv had returned. She thought that he had actually killed her firstborn, but Ananya even fought with Ayushi that it was nothing that she was thinking. And they were not talking with each other. She remembered that Dhruv had tried to talk with her many times today but eventually she had to lock her up inside her room, she didn't want to face him.

The night was chilly, a cold breeze was blowing, indicating the arrival of the rainfall that was soon going to touch mother earth. Ayushi fed her milk to both her babies and finally when she made them sleep on her bed, after placing pillows beside them, she moved towards the window to close it, when she noticed someone standing there in front of her house in the heavy rainfall. Noticing carefully, she got shocked when she saw that it was her husband who was standing there in front of the house like that.

What was he doing there outside in this adverse weather? Was he nuts or what? Ayushi's heart shrank when she saw how miserable and guilty he was looking, standing there in the rain like he had lost everything. She still loved him, she still cared for him, but he had been the worst to her! How could she forgive him, knowing that he had killed her baby? He was a monster, a beast, who wanted nothing but to hurt her brutally. She closed the windows on his face and sat there on the floor taking the support of the wall, crying miserably for what he had done with her.

"How vicious you are Dhruv that you killed your baby! How could you," she didn't know when her cries turned into snores, and she eventually slept.

One week eventually passed, with Dhruv trying to talk with Ayushi but she always ignored him. She never opened the door whenever he used to ring the bell. She warned Ananya too but yesterday, Ana opened the door for him when he rang the bell as she too wanted them to sort out everything and start afresh. She wanted her best friend and her babies to be happy again. She wanted them to be safe. Her only motive was to unite them again but Ayushi took that in another way.

Ayushi had accused Ananya of being on Dhruv's side, a monster's side. With time, even she had got to know that it wasn't Dhruv who had killed her baby but he had died because of his weak condition.

Dhruv had tried to talk with Ayushi, but she wasn't even ready to see his face nor was she letting him meet their babies. He just wanted one chance, one chance to repent for all his past deeds, one chance to get everything right, one chance to love her again. But she denied him every right. He was nothing less than a monster in her eyes.

Few more days passed, with bitterness arising between Ayushi and Ananya. Ayushi had misunderstood Ananya as she was taking Dhruv's side and many times, they fought over this thing only. And one day, a decision left them all too shocked. Ayushi had decided that she'd leave Chamba and would go to some other place with her twins. She didn't want to fight anymore with her once best friend. Within this time, she had also learned how to carry both her babies at the same time, as she knew now she was going to be an independent single mother. Ananya wouldn't be with her for the whole life, even if she had a family, a life.

She had decided to finally live a life away from every one, no Dhruv, no Ananya, no one. Just she and her babies.

****

The subsequent day, Dhruv was in his balcony, when he saw that Ayushi whose face was covered in a scarf was carrying the babies in a twin baby carrier, and in her hands, there was a travel bag and another backpack was there on her back. A cab stopped in front of her and she got into it and then they drove away, away from him, away from his life. Then only Dhruv came back to senses of what had actually happened. She had left him with her babies, forever. How could she!

Dhruv immediately ran towards the parking area and quickly roared his Jaguar in the direction of Ayushi's cab. As there were babies inside the cab, their car was slow and hadn't gone far, so Dhruv had easily traced it down in no time. He sped his car towards them and finally on a deserted road, blocking their way, causing the driver to pull the brakes.

Dhruv swiftly moved out of his car and rushed towards the cab. The taxi driver was just too shocked as it was Dhruv Singh Rajput who had blocked his path. A celebrity stopped his car. How lucky he had got today, the cab driver thought. Whereas, Ayushi paled when she saw him. Why was he doing all this, why couldn't he let her live in peace when everything was over between them, why?

Dhruv moved towards Ayushi's side and opened the door, pulling her outside the cab, possessively. She looked at him in horror, her breathing eventually got hard. She was terrified because of the look he was giving to her now.

Both the babies were in her arms so she wasn't able to push him like she used to do whenever Dhruv tried to talk with her. He made her stand properly and pulled out her luggage along with their baby's twin carrier. After paying the fare to the driver, he asked the driver to go and the driver eventually went away, but he wanted to at least take a selfie with this great businessman, but seeing his sour mood, he just drove away.

"Where were you going?" Dhruv asked her in an angry tone, making her flinch at her place. She still feared this angry tone.

"None of your concern," she shot back in equal anger after realizing that he had literally no rights to talk with her like that.

"It is my concern because it includes my wife and my children. Let us go to our house. I want to show you how I have made everything for you and our babies. Come," he spoke out in a possessive tone and reached out to take her hand but she moved away from him, shooting daggers at him. Fortunately, both the babies were sleeping otherwise they too would have started crying, seeing their parents fighting like this.

Dhruv came towards her and was standing close to her but again she moved backwards. Her eyes were just filled with abhorrence and hate for him.

"Let us go home. You must be tired," he asked her pleadingly. But she was not going to go with him, he didn't deserve her and her babies for what he had done in the past.

"I'm not coming with you," she spoke out angrily.

Her stubbornness was making Dhruv lose his sanity. He just wanted one chance and here she was being too tough and difficult to even come with him. He tried to take the babies from her hand but she wasn't ready to give any of her babies to him.

"Come with me Ayushi, otherwise I'd have to use other ways to put you back inside our car," he tried to use his hard tone on her, thinking that might make her understand but she was too stubborn.

"Just leave me Dhruv. I'm no longer related to you. Please let me live my life peacefully. The moment I signed on those divorce papers, everything was over between us and now we are just mere strangers. Just go away from our lives," Ayushi shouted at him in hurt and dismay, tears making their way down her cheeks.

"No Ayushi, we never divorced as I had never signed on those papers after knowing the truth about Chandani. And I have the whole right on you to drag you with me, I'm still your legal husband and you are related to me and me only and they are our babies and I'm not going to leave my babies and my love in this place at any cost. Come with me," he cleared the misunderstanding that she had about their marriage.

"Where was your love Dhruv when you threw me out of your house at that late hour of the night? When you slapped me many times when you accused me of being a slut, a bitch who is just after your money. It's over and they are my children. You have no right on them as it was just a mistake from your side, wasn't it? You were guilty, sad that you slept with me? Weren't you? It's not a game Mr Dhruv where you can just come anytime and start everything from the start, forgetting the past, its life, our damn life that you're talking about, it's not a game".

"Just let us live in peace and go to your soon-to-be-wife aka your girlfriend and please sign on those divorce papers. It'll be good for all," she said with tears falling down her eyes.

Ayushi was crying so badly and started moving away from him with the babies in her arms. But Dhruv stopped her again, this time hitting her weakest point.

"You cannot disobey your husband and you just can't take a child away from his father. I'm their father and I have the whole right on them. I knew about them when you were just one month pregnant. I didn't plan for them but I took care of you and our babies in your pregnancy. I was that fake Veer who acted as your good friend and took care of the three of you. I didn't want to make you sad by my presence so I changed myself as Veer. But after our other baby's death, you were so broken, and then I came to you as Dhruv."

"Please forgive me for my deeds. I've changed after knowing the truth of Chandani. She never loved me and I also never loved her. It was lust. It was just infatuation. And even I was stupid to name it as love. She did all these dramas for hurting you, abusing you, drifting us apart just to take revenge to break my family, to take you away from me. To throw you out of my house when you were carrying my three babies. To humiliate you. It was all her part of revenge. She planned all these. And her manipulation made me do all those things with you because she had drugged me every time. Please forgive me. I love you. I do. And I don't wanna lose you and our babies. Please forgive me," at the end, Dhruv was crying for forgiveness but she was just numbed like she didn't hear any of his words.

"What would you have done if you were at my place and me at yours? After pushing your fiance on the concrete ground, causing her to bleed, would you have forgiven me? After leaving your new wedded wife in a new city at some airport with no address, no help, would you have forgiven me? After making your wife the head maid and throwing tips on her face, would you have forgiven me?"

"After such insults, tortures, the humiliation would you have forgiven? Answer me. After seeing your husband with another woman, making out in front of your wife, would you have forgiven me? After being thrown out of her own house with a baby in your womb by your husband, would you have forgiven? Answer me dammit. What was my mistake? You could have just treated me like a human and after six months, you could have divorced me but you completed your vow of making my life worse, a living hell. Even worse than hell," Ayushi after putting both the babies in the carrier, sat on the concrete road, wailing out loudly.

She was on the ground, on her knees crying for her tortured life, her broken self, her dead baby. They both were crying and the weather was also like them. The cold dry wind was blowing. Dhruv immediately rushed towards her side and hugged her tightly, trying to pacify her but she didn't reciprocate the hug neither her tears stopped.

"I would have never forgiven that person who inflicted so much pain on me but when that person has realized his mistakes, I would have given him a chance. Please give me a chance, Ayushi, please. I beg you. Our babies need the love of both their father and mother. Please, I promise that I'll never hurt you and will always love you. Please give me a chance," Dhruv spoke out in a crying tone, holding her crying face in his palms. She was looking so intently at him while her beautiful eyes were still pouring down all her grief, all her sorrows.

She looked at her sleeping babies and then again looked at him.

"They need you. I can never give them all the luxuries that you can give to them. You need an heir for your business and family and me, me, hah, I'm just a milk feeder to them and will be until they grow up from an infant to a kid. I can't snatch their rights from them, can I? Yes, they need both of us. Me for feeding them and you for giving them all the world's happiness," she laughed out humorlessly and Dhruv was just so shocked after hearing all these. She took everything so wrong. Did she think that he just needed an heir for his family & business? How could she think like that?

Before Dhruv could say anything, Ayushi interrupted him.

"Let us go to your house. I need to feed them".

Dhruv was shocked would be an understatement as she was finally ready to go with him.
