Chapter 34: Chapter 34

The screams and yells got louder as they walked down the stairs. The other ladies hurried down but Avril took her time. They traced the noise to the back of the house and walked there. Yes, the four of them were tied naked to a long and wide table. Avril gasped and stopped walking as she stared at the scene in front of her.Florescent lights illuminated the whole yard so they could see what was happening clearly.

The four of them had red marks all over their bodies. Avril guessed it had to be from whips or punches. But she was surprised when she found out it was from hot rods. They were placing hot rods on their skin. The rods were very long and some had extensions at the bottom, like metallic shapes. The top was placed on heat and the end of the rod was used to carry it.

“No,” she mumbled as a man wearing thick gloves, took a rod from the top of a barbecue grill and placed it on the shoulder of Anastasia. She screamed loudly and tears gushed out of her eyes, as her skin sizzled underneath the metal.

“Please, please, we're sorry. We didn't know,” Ani cried. His face was swollen and red. Avril held her shirt and squeezed it out of anxiety. She was wearing a pink top and jean pants.

She walked forward into the yard and saw that about ten men were watching, while two men were doing the job. Where was Alejandro?

She walked to her friends and clutched hard unto Chidi.

”Please, don't hurt us anymore,” the other girl pleaded. It was like what she said made her a prey because, the man frowned at her and pinned a rectangular metal on her tummy. Avril winced and shut her eyes.

“You try to mess up the master's woman and you think you can go scot free?” he asked with an evil grin.

“We didn't know. We didn't know,” Ani cried again. The man scoffed and went to take another rod.

“That's enough,” came Alejandro's calm voice. They all looked to the left and saw him approaching. A cigar in his mouth and two huge men behind him. A trail of thick smoke was left behind from the cigar he was smoking. He walked to the table and stared at their bodies. They were panting heavily and their fear doubled. He took a drag and slowly blew out foggy smoke over their bodies. They coughed and tried to wriggle free.

He took another drag, blew it out and walked around them. Avril was suddenly scared. What if he kills them?

“Give me the gloves,” he ordered without looking at anyone. One of the men who followed him brought out a pair of surgical gloves. Alejandro took and wore them, with his cigar tucked in between his teeth. The silence in the yard was killing. Everyone watched without a word. Even the preys on the table feared to cry or even breathe out.

Avril's heart went from a normal race to a super fast one, with her heart beating against her chest vigorously. What was Alejandro going to do?

The same man that gave him gloves brought a tray and he began to pick up equipment used for surgery. He took a slim and new blade in one hand, and forceps in the other hand. He walked to Sam and looked at his face.

“Alejandro, please, we will never do that ag—” Sam tried to plead, but,

“Quiet,” Alejandro drawled. He nodded to the other bouncer, and he began to inject the people lying on the table.

“This is my highest form of Mercy, you won't feel the pain,” Alejandro said and carried up Sam's scrotum. He was going to castrate them, and circumcise the ladies. Avril couldn't take the fright anymore. Her eyes closed and she fell to the floor.

It was close to midnight when she woke up. She had passed out for just an hour, and everything was over when she woke up. She looked around the room and wondered why the lights were turned off. Only the bedside lamp was illuminating her face. She sat up and groaned as she rubbed her neck.

She was hungry again and needed to eat that very minute. She didn't get to finish her dinner earlier. If only she was still with Dakar, he would have spoilt her silly with food, just like he always did. Oh! How she missed her wolf!

“Wait! My wolf bracelet!” she startled and jumped off the bed. She ran to the closet and flung it open. She couldn't see well, so she traced the lights switch and turned it on. She went back to the closet, opened the bag she had placed them in earlier and sighed in relief. They were still intact. And by they, the ring is included. She picked her bracelet first, kissed it and wore it. Then, she picked up the ring. If only she was not stupid enough to leave it behind earlier. She would have saved herself the beating and molestation. And maybe, those people would not have undergone that barbaric incident.

She wore the ring and walked to the mirror. Her eye was black now, but not swollen as before. It still hurt badly and sore when she was blinking. The rest of her body hurt too, but she decided to ignore the pain. She crept out of the room and straight to the kitchen. The maids had cleared off the leftovers, so there was nothing left. Avril had to improvise. She opened the fridge and took out three large apples, a yoghurt bottle, a bunch of bananas and pack of blueberries. The fridge was filled with fruits and no junk food, so Avril knew Alejandro's preference already. She took a bowl and sliced the bananas in, diced the apples in and poured the blueberries into the bowl. She grabbed a spoon, the bottle of yoghurt and the bowl, then headed out of the kitchen.

Avril poured the yoghurt into the bowl and began to scoop them into her mouth. Her plan was to do the mixing in the living room, after turning on the television. But her stomach controlled her hands to do the mixing in the hallway. As she scooped bananas and yoghurt into her mouth, and walked without looking at her front, she bumped into something. Or someone.

“Hmm,” Alejandro grunted and she raised her eyes to look at him. She shifted back immediately. He still terrified her.

“I'm sorry... I ... I wasn't looking,” she stuttered and dropped the spoon back into the bowl.

“Eating my fruits and bumping into me too. Cool,” he drawled and she gulped down.

“I'm sorry,” she apologized again.

“Yeah? Why are you eating by midnight?” he asked.

“I was hungry,” she answered.

“Hmm,” he grunted again. His eyes trailed down to his ring on her finger.

“I see you're back to carrying the ring,” he said.

She didn't answer.

“Youdon't have to wear it at night, though,” he added.

“I have to. I don't know what will happen anymore,” she mumbled.

Alejandro chuckled and turned around. He began to walk away and Avril waited for him to go far before she walked too.

After her little meal, she watched TV and felt sleep. She was scared that Alejandro would touch her again. So, slept off on the couch. Few minutes later, Alejandro came down in a maroon silky robe and saw Avril asleep on the couch. He carried her up and took her to the room, laid her on the bed then covered her with the duvet. He stared at her peaceful face and chuckled. She was such a naive, yet feisty girl. He was never going to let her skin turn red anymore, talk more of letting her blood seep out.

Chapter 48

A man was running through the crowd in the market and pushing both people and things out of his way. He received a lot of yells and kicks, but he would stand up almost immediately, and run even faster. He was being pursued by two men and preferred to run forever, than to be caught by them.

“Get out of my way!” he screamed at a bunch of kids buying ice cream. They sauntered off and he dash through the spot they once we're. He looked back and saw the men still running after him. He panted faster and took a turn into an empty alley. He scaled the fence and jumped into the other side. Blocks of houses were scattered there and he hid between them. The men jumped over the fence too but did not see him, even though he could see them. They looked around and decided to check around, but they passed the house he was hiding beside. He heaved a deep sigh and slid off.

The men, after searching fruitlessly, returned to the mansion to give the news to Avril. She was at her favorite spot, the garden, and she was playing cards with some men. She looked up and saw the two men approaching.

“Good news, or bad news?” she asked.

“Bad. The motherf.ucker escaped,” one of them gritted and sat on a bench.

“Hmm. I expected that. He's a cunnyone,” she said and bit her lower lip. Two of the men she was with at the table were smoking, the other two were drinking. She just had a toothpick poked in her mouth.

“Avril, what are you going to do now? Wait for your man?”

“Alejandro would kill him. I don't want that,” she answered and dropped two cards down. The other players played while she looked at her fingers.

“I will just see him myself. Teach him a little lesson,” she added.

“Babe, I need your help,” one of the smoking men said. He was the one who first looked down onAvril that day he was about to kill those two men. And those two men were the ones running errands for her now. After they healed, they became her men, just as Alejandro ordered them.

“Nana, doesn't want you. I told her already,” Avril said with an eyeroll.

“She's just f.ucking with you. Nana likes me. Why can't she just admit that?”

One of Avril's men, Manny laughed.

“You're head over heels in love with this bi.tch,” he mocked. Feliz glared at him and puffed out smoke from his mouth.

“He's too evil to love, please. He just wants her arse,” Avril cooed and the men grunted in agreement.

“Nana's got some fleshy arse, unlike yours,” Feliz said to Avril. The men laughed and teased Avril who wasn't smiling.

“Stop it! Don't mock me!” she yelled and banged her cards onto the table.

“Calm down, babe. Kidding. I'll do anything to get your arse on my bed,” Feliz grinned and she scoffed.

“You wish,” she rolled her eyes. Her fingers unconsciously clasped over her wolf bracelet and played with the wolf heads. Feliz ran a hand through his hair and dragged in smoke.

He blew it over Avril's face, as she was sitting beside him. She punched his neck and made him gag. He ran off the chair and went to cough a few steps away.

The others laughed at him. Avril got on her feet and walked into the house.

“What's with her?” Bernardo asked. He was the other man allocated to Avril.

“She gets cranky whenever Alejandro's out of town without a word from him,” Manny answered and pulled a pack of cigarettes from his pocket.

“I don't blame her. It's been two weeks already and she hasn't even heard rumours about him. She's scared as f.uck,” Bernardo chipped in and collected a stick of cigarette from Manny.

“Hey, you both will help me convince her to talk to her friend. I know that girl, she hasn't said a word to Nana,” Feliz managed to say. He had coughed too much and his eyes were watery.

“Nope. Not while Alejandro's out,” Manny said.

Chapter 49

Avril had walked into their room and she exhaled. She was tired after supervising the distribution of jewelry to the people who ordered. Alejandro owned a backroom company that soldjewelries. Illegal jewelries, either stolen or bought from a black market. He only had the expensive ones, and sold it to greedy people who did,n't have the real prize. He made a lot of profit, because he had numerous customers who preferred to buy half the original prize from him.

Since he was out of Tijuana, Avril took over. The customers were greedy and cunning. One even requested to have sex with her and he would pay her the original amount, and she could keep the extra money to herself. She had to threaten to give him a lifelong impotency before he let her be.

Without Alejandro, she was an angry woman. Over the past six months she spent with him, she had come to feel very comfortable with him. He cared for her a lot and did not take it likely if she got hurt. He granted all her desires, as long as it didn't meddle in his business. Avril knew better than to make Alejandro change his mind about something. The first and last time, was when she begged over Manny and Bernardo's lives.

She walked to the mirror and looked at her face. It was pure white and had no marks or scars. Alejandro hated injuries on her skin.

She lifted her hand and smiled as her bracelet glinted. The golden bracelet that never left her wrist. She took her bath with it and even took it on missions. She still missed Dakar every single day. And sometimes, she felt a very heavy weight of guilt whenever she was rubbing hands in Alejandro's body and in bed with him.

“It should not be you,” she would mutter in herhead and cry. But she had no choice, it was her life now. Alejandro was not forcing her to be his sex slave. In fact, she was not a sex slave or any kind of slave. She was simply known as Alejandro's woman, and feared too. She didn't need his ring to command respect anymore.

The only problem she had in Tijuana was Arturo. He was a member of Alejandro's Mafia family, the Lucien Brothers. And he was Nana's master.
