Chapter 41: Chapter 41

I hugged him so tight. I could feel his ripped body beneath my hands. I was hanging on to him as my life depended on him. He gave me a reason to survive. If I'm alive it was because of him. I was sure about Raja. If I ever get married to him I don't want to live in regrets. I was not going to the bed with Ravi as a virgin. I would die before I'm used and discarded by Ravi. I will take one night with Raja then many sleepless nights with Ravi.

"Are you cold?", he asked me.

" No, why?", I asked him.

"You are holding me very tight", he said.

" I'm sorry. I didn't know", I said loosening my hands from him. But not all the way. It was a lie but I couldn't accept that before him. I still held him but not as tight as before.

He went as fast as possible on the roads. He purposefully went to the gutter to make me ram to him each time. I held a smile. I wanted to call him out on it but decided against it. I was having a good time too. Correction the best time of my life.

That's when the rain fell on us. I closed my eyes and looked at the sky. I knew it was a sign. We are going to end up together. It doesn't matter what the world thinks. It will always be Raja and Asha. We are going to be on this ride forever.

"Shit I'm sorry Asha", said Raja.

" It's Ok", I told him. My dress was very wet now clinging to my skin.

"I can't take you anywhere like this", said Raja.

" I know it's Ok", I consoled him.

"I had no idea that it is going to rain", he said apologising

" Don't be. I needed this night out", I told him.

"Are you saying that you fought with me to take you out tonight? Then you don't even care that you couldn't go ", he asked me.

" I fought with you because you didn't come to meet me as you promised", I told him.

"I will have to take you my home now. There you can change and I will take you back", he told me.

" Alright," I agreed with him.

When we reached his home. I wasn't shocked at all. It was a home where I assumed he will live. It was an old house but not entirely bad. It was maintained a few many times I could see the patch works everywhere.

"Afraid to go inside princess?", he asked me.

" I'm not afraid. I was just looking", I told him.

"Don't worry the roof won't fall on you", he said with hesitation. I wanted to rebuke him but didn't want to fight with him. I was wiped out, wet and shivering.

" Trust me I have seen the worst part now and I'm over it", I told him.

"You have not seen the worst", he told me and opened the door using the key.

When I went inside I saw a guy sitting on a blanket. He looked surprised to see me with Raja. His eyes went to my dress which was clinging to my body.

" Come inside ", he called me. I realised that they were not friends. But I still wondered why they were not talking.

" Is that your friend?", I asked him.

"Does he look like my friend?", he asked me back. I shook my head in negative.

" Not everyone can afford to live alone Mara. I know you want privacy. I will happily give him money to go out but I doubt he will", he said.

"Yes it is raining", I agreed with him.

" Rain had nothing to do with it, sweetheart. If he stays here he will get to have good entertainment", he said bitterly.

"How do you pass time here?", I asked him.

" You think I need to pass time. I work to jobs Asha all I want to do once I'm here is to sleep peacefully", he said with a smile.

I wanted to say something but I couldn't think of anything. So I kept my mouth shut. He gave me a pair of his t-shirt and shorts to wear. But it was very lengthy and big. But I had to change or I would get sick. I saw a small bathroom and went inside to change. Raja looked a bit disappointed. He thought I would change before him. But I felt very self-conscious to see myself through his eyes. I was afraid he will see me as the same small brat. I put on the clothes and discarded everything inside the bathroom. I knew I should wash it. But the time was very limited. I need to spend it with him.

He looked at me with fascination like I stood naked before him. I wasn't wearing a bra or underwear. I pulled on its neck feeling shy.

"That looks so different on you", he said.

" What do you want to do? You are stuck here till the rain stops. I will hunt places that open at night for you from tomorrow", he said with a smile.

"I don't mind being stuck here for a while but you must take me early morning", I told him nervously.

"I will take you back", he promised me. His eyes still looking at me hungrily. I shyly bit my lips. No matter how much he says he is interested in me there is some part of me that refuses to believe it.

" Want to watch a movie tonight?", he asked me.

"Ok", I told him. He took out his old phone which had a broken screen. I had a new phone that Rocky gifted me a while back after he felt guilty for one of our fights. I could have given it to him. But I didn't I sit with him in the same blanket.

" Why you didn't have a bed?", I asked him.

"I have money don't think that I don't. I can sleep anywhere a bed is not a necessity. Plus see the size of this room. Do you think you can fit in a bed here?", he asked me. I looked around and agreed. It was very small but it was very neat.

" Maybe I should I'm beginning to realise its perks", he told me. I looked away shyly.
