Samantha's POV

"There's a lot of these so don't be shy and eat, okay?" my mom told us as we help ourselves with all the homemade food that she brought along with her.

My mom usually visits me at home but she always informs me beforehand that's why I was caught off-guard when she just came earlier.

Plus, I forgot to tell her about these boys staying at my house.

"So Jake, son" my eyes snapped to where my little brother was when I heard my mom call him.

"Yes, auntie," he shyly responded.

Jake was never close with my mom but they never had a bad relationship either. It's just that they haven't had a chance to be together because it's mostly me who stays with my father rather than Jake staying with me and my mom.

"How many times have I told you to call me Mom instead? You're almost my son anyways," she said while patting his shoulders.

"Mom's right. I call your Mom like that as well. It's no big deal." I added which is true. Jake’s mom is very kind and treated me like her own.

My attention was shifted to the person in front of me when I heard someone choke on his food, Josh.

Right, him and the other boys where eating with us.

My mom immediately came rushing and gave him a glass of water. She started caressing his back on circular motion. I smiled at how they look cute together.

I haven't told my mom about him but I guess seeing them together makes me happy.

"Young man, are you okay?" My mom asked in worry.

"Yes, Auntie." Josh said after he finished his glass of water.

My bows furrowed when I noticed how distracted he seems.

I tried to catch his eyes to ask if there's something wrong but his attention is elsewhere.

I'm not sure if I saw it correctly but I think I saw him frown while looking at his food.

"This is awesome, auntie." I heard Jason. His words are barely audible as he's speaking with his mouth full. He gave a thumbs up on my mom while still chewing his food.

"You, kiddo, don't speak when your mouth is full!" Yohan told him.

Thanks God there still someone decent staying with us.

"Can't you just stay with us here, Auntie?" I looked at Vash bewildered.

"Hey!" I snickered at them.

"Ah, what?" he said. "Auntie, noona is so violent, isn't she?" he asked my mom which my mom just responded with a laugh.

"Shut up, Vash or you're dead when my mom's gone." I threatened him. Vash's eyes went wide.

"Hey, Auntie, please live here with us." he pleaded to my mom.

It's not like I don't want my mom to stay here but you know, it will be awkward to have my mom around.

"I can't. Samantha's father will be all alone." My mom replied which made Vash's face sadden.

I went to him and pat his head.

"Don't worry my daughter, I won't stay here and burst everyone's bubble." My mom said. She may have said those words while smiling but I'm sure I heard a hint of sadness on her tone.

I sighed at my mom's response.

"Mom, you know I love you, right?" I told her as I leave Vash and hug my mom from behind.

"Of course. And I'm actually happy Jake is already back here with you like how you two used to. You're finally back together." she said endearingly.

"And Jake, tell your mom and dad that I said Hi, okay?"

"Ne, Mom." my brother smiled awkwardly.

My attention was grabbed by Josh who suddenly stood up from his seat and bowed to my mother.

"Auntie, thanks for the meal. Ahm, I actually need to do something important, so I think I'll have to leave everyone." He shyly smiled at my mom then took his leave without even looking at me.

Somehow, I feel like there's something wrong. I erased the thought from my mind.

"Mom, give me one second. I just need to get my phone on my room." I told my mom but I followed Josh instead.

"Hey..." I grabbed his arm when I caught up to him while he's getting inside of his room.

He looked back to me, a serious look visible on his face.

"Are you okay?" I asked. I lift my right hand and tried to feel his temperature. Maybe he's not feeling well.

I'm not used to seeing him not smiling. I mean, he's happy Josh right. The man with the windshield laugh.

He lifted his hand and pull mine down. My eyes furrowed in confusion.

"Is there a problem?"

I heard him sigh.

"I just needed some sleep. I'm not really feeling very well." and then he smiled. Not the usual one but he still tried.

"Tell your mom to take care for me okay?" he added.

"Okay, I will. Call me if you need anything, alright?" I said then I hugged him real tight.

I felt his hands hug me back.

I hope he won't get sick.

I let go of him and put my hands down. I urged him to go on his room. I can't help but worry.

"Stop worrying sweetie. I'm okay, really. I just needed some good sleep."

"Okay." I went back to the others when Josh closed his door.

"So...." my attention went to my mom when I heard her speak. "I heard that you may or may not have gotten a boyfriend sweetie..." my eyes went wide and I looked to my brother who quickly waved his hand as if telling me he did not said anything to my mom.

Then, I looked to the boys and realized that both Jason and Vash are not looking at me and are acting busy like they did not hear anything.

"I swear I'm going to kill you two." I said as I run to them while the two quickly put down their food and run for their lives.

I heard the others just laugh.

These two are really a bitch, aren't they?
