Chapter 11: Chapter 11
I kept quiet while he dragged me to the car because I was scared I would say something to offend him which would be the last thing I would do.
I had already broken a serious rule and I might as well be punished like the way he punished Asher the other day or the way he killed the man in the boutique.
The fear of not getting to say my final goodbye to my grandmother made me sad as I turned back to look at her but she was clueless about what was happening but was only smiling.
I turned to look at Alaric's face and they held no sympathy for me. I knew I was toasted the moment we got to the car.
"Get in!" He commanded as I tried to get into the passenger seat but he held my arms really tight causing them to hurt as he opened the front seat and pushed me in it.
He has never been this angry with me despite whatever I did but today's was different which made me scared as hell.
His driver noticed the look on his face as he immediately got down from the driver's seat and Alaric entered as he started the car.
Leaving the driver behind, his grip on the steering was so tight that it made his knuckles turn white and I feared he was driving too fast.
I was naturally scared of hyperspeed and today wasn't any different as he swerved past different vehicles on the road with speed while I folded my body to myself on the chair with my face soaked with tears but he didn't seem to want to notice I was hurting.
I could see familiar houses nearby and I knew we were close to the pack house, the more we got closer the more my heart beat faster because I was scared as hell.
We finally got to the pack house and he stopped the car in the middle of the house without bothering to park it well before coming down from the car.
I was still filled with fear and didn't want to leave the car when he suddenly opened my door and dragged me out of the car.
"Ah!" I winced in pain as his grip on me was really tight on my tiny arms but the moment he heard me wince, he loosened the tension in my arm a bit , nevertheless his hands were still gripping on them tight.
He dragged me into the house and I could see the faces of some students as they were all shocked at how he was dragging my arm.
"Poor girl, today marks her end" a girl said without any feeling of pity but out of mockery and it made me really sad.
I bowed my head in embarrassment as tears flowed freely down my eyes and I wished he would just kill me already to end all of the pain and humiliation I was going through.
"Who said that!?" Alaric's cold voice rang across the room and it instantly became dead silent as no one dared to talk.
"I won't care if you all die at once so you better answer me on time if you don't want all of you dead!" He threatened and I could immediately sense a great fear in everyone as their legs trembled.
I was also confused on why he wanted to know who said it because it was concerning me and he was still going to kill me anyway.
"She..she did" a girl shook as she pointed to the girl who was standing beside her.
Her face was now widened in awe as she instantly fell to her kneels to apologise to Alaric.
"Please, I'm sorry, forgive me" she cried on her knees.
"You should have been honest, I hate my time being wasted" Alaric replied as he signalled to one of his guards before dragging me away.
I couldn't stop staring at the girl as his guards dragged her away from the room and I wondered what my own outcome would be as I tried to catch up with his fast pace so the effect of him dragging me won't be too much.
I wondered why I wasn't in the middle of the hall right now with my head in his hands or my blood all over the room but instead I was dragged along dark hallways.
"Perhaps I was going to the dungeon" I said to myself but my assumptions were wrong the instant I saw a fine wooden door and he opened it before dragging me in.
It was his room and I wondered why I was here, what was his intentions towards me and what the fuck does he want to do to me?
"Fuck!" He suddenly yelled immediately he entered the room as he punched the wall behind him and I flinched in fear.
"You don't get to disobey me and my rules Lenora!" He roared while I kept quiet with my head bowed. I wouldn't want him to be any more angry because I still needed to eat one of my grandma's cookies for the last time.
"Why did you fucking do that Lenora!" He yelled but I was still quiet as tears started to stream down my eyes.
"Fucking look at my face!" He yelled again and I felt goosebumps all around my body as I lifted my head in fear of looking into his dreadful eyes.
"I'm sorry" I begged as I continued to cry, the tears were blocking my vision as I wiped them off with my hand.
He seemed to be trying to calm himself as he continuously took in deep breaths before he finally walked up to me and cupped my face into his huge rough hands.
"Lenora" he breathed my name out as he made his head touch mine and I could feel his hot breath falling on my face.
"You're making things hard for me" he added as I watched how his Adam's apple moved to the rhythm of his voice.
He removed his head from mine and opened his eyes to look at me with his hands still cupping my cheeks and his thumb carefully caressing them and I was wondering if he was still the same man that had brutally dragged me around like I was an animal or a scapegoat.
"Who talked you into this?" He asked and my heart dropped.
I couldn't possibly tell him it was Asher because he hated Asher and wouldn't think twice before using this as an excuse to haunt and kill Asher.
I wouldn't want that, not when he finally realized his mistakes and came to me, there was no way I would tell him it was Asher.
"No one" I lied, he seemed to have noticed I lied but his hands were still gentle on my face.
"Obey me Lenora!" He said with his lycan aura and my body started to tremble as it shook in fear. My legs became weak to the point where I needed to support myself with something, else I would fall.
There was no way I could lie to him now, I was placed In a very difficult situation of saving my life or saving that of Asher but I knew he would kill Asher if he found out.
"Please!" I begged but he removed his hands from my face as his emotions suddenly changed to anger.
"I knew it was that bastard!" He growled before turning his back to leave his room and I stood in shock.
I hadn't said anything to him so how did he get to know it was Asher, I was scared he would hurt Asher and my fear went before me as I found myself running after him but he was too fast and the next thing I saw was his hands on Asher's throat as he was squeezing them tight.
Asher tried to release himself from the beast's grip but he stood no chance, his face fell on mine and there was a look of disappointment on his face as he thought I had snitched on him but I swear I would never do that.
"You bastard, you won't stop causing more troubles would you? Alaric yelled and with the voice of his tone, I felt an effect I had never felt and everyone in the hall was scared as they all obeyed the sound and fell on their knees to bow to him.
I could see his eyes glowing even brighter and I was really scared. I felt the effect of his voice but I didn't think it was like the rest because my wolf didn't bow to Alaric.
Asher was about to close his eyes and give up because I could feel his pain from here, Alaric was choking him ready tight and won't stop.
Asher's feet were above the ground as his hands were holding Alaric's in an attempt to fight back but he wasn't just the match for him.
"Let him go, you monster!" I found myself yelling at Alaric as I was suddenly beside him. I had no idea how I was able to run this fast to him but I was now with him and standing upright without any fear while the rest of the wolves' heads were still bowed and none of them dared to talk.
Alaric suddenly stopped to choke him harder as his focus was now on me and I was trying my best to not be intimidated by his eyes or his aura.
"Stay out of this..." He roared but I didn't let him complete his sentence.
"I'm not staying out of this, kill me instead, I was the one who broke the rules so kill me instead and spare Asher" I said as I stood on my ground without trying to be scared.
He loosened his grip on Asher's throat as Asher fell to the floor and winced in pain. Asher's hands were on his neck as he tried to breathe some air in.
"You're choosing his life over yours?' ' Alaric scoffed while I didn't reply back and I could feel his footsteps approaching me.
I was getting scared he would actually kill me instead, I didn't want him to kill Asher but I hadn't thought my words through before sacrificing myself instead of Asher.
Hell, I didn't want to die just yet, I was scared of him to death even if I was trying to act tough so he would take me seriously.
"If I broke the rules then I'm to be punished, not him" I answered and immediately swallowed the heavy lump in my throat.
"Are you sure about this?" Lora asked but I don't think I was sure.
"Okay!" Alaric said and walked closer to me, he wasn't walking slowly but this time he was walking with his normal pace.
He was so close to me that I could smell him everywhere and his senses filled my head telling me to submit but I didn't want to just yet.
"I'll make you choose little wolf" he said and stood with his back straightened and his hands in the pocket of his jean trousers.
"Would you prefer to save this bastard right here and disobey me? Or would you come with me and let me kill him for once and for all?" He asked and my heart started to beat really loud.
I have no idea of what to say or how to respond to him, I knew if I chose Asher then I would forever suffer under him but if I chose him I would lose my mate and be forever lonely.
"If you were to ask me a thousand times, I would chose Asher all over again" I responded, but immediately those words came out of my mouth I started to doubt if I had made the right decision or not as his eyes pierced into my soul and I could see the look of anger and disappointment on his face then he scoffed and let out a laugh.
