Chapter 46: Chapter 46
A few days later, Janani was making Ava dressed for her school, when Armaan walked in.
He frowned seeing Janani dressed to go out.
"You going somewhere, Janani?" Armaan asked
"To the kindergarten ofcourse. I have to join back some day. Don't I?" Janani asked making Armaan's frown more fierce.
"One week isn't over yet. You were to take leave for one week. Remember?" Armaan asked
"Well, yes. I was. But Ava is going today. So I thought I would also go" Janani said
"Let Ava go. Maybe we can send Advi too. But you are staying" Armaan said and Janani looked at him in disbelief
"You gotta be kidding me"
"I am not"
"Advi is just over an year old. Why would I send him to the kindergarten?" Janani asked
"He always comes with you" Armaan pointed out
"Yes. With me. Why would I send him, if I am to stay back?"
"Well, Ananya runs a day care too, right? She will look after him. We will go pick them up in the evening" Armaan said
"Have you gone crazy? What has gotten into you?" Janani asked as she watched Ava run out of the room, all set to go to school.
"What kind of an unromantic idiot did I marry?" Armaan asked with a groan, earning a glare from his wife
"Janani, darling. As much as I love our babies, I want to spend time with you. We need to spend some alone time. Yes, we both are in love with each other. But we know nothing about each other. I have no idea what your favourite food is. I don't know what your favourite color is. There is so much we have to know about each other." Armaan said and Janani's face softened
She walked towards him and wrapped her arms around his torso and hugged him hard.
"It's frustrating, isn't it? Not getting even a moment to ourselves?" Janani asked
"Tell me about it. I will go mad soon" Armaan said, holding her close.
"Take me for the honeymoon you promised. Just you and me. This weekend" Janani said, making Armaan grin.
"That's the happiest words I have heard in the last few days. All the post wedding rituals has had me wanting to run for the hills. Your mom is epic Janani. God knows how many rituals she made me do" Armaan said, shuddering remembering all the things his mother in law made him do
"Well, they gave you their precious daughter. They have to make sure that you will look after her properly" Janani said, with a chuckle
"That they can be assured about. Their daughter is the most precious gem in my life. I will die, before any harm comes to her" Armaan vowed.
Janani rose on her toes and pressed her lips on his. Armaan didn't need a second invitation. He hauled her tightly against him and kissed her back.
Armaan's mouth drove down on Janani’s and she shuddered beneath the sweet pressure of his lips.
He slowly nibbled on her lower lips and sucked them in. Janani opened her mouth for him and he thrust his tongue in, exploring every little corner of her mouth.
They sprang apart from each other when a crawling disaster pushed a big glass vase down, in his eagerness to come to his momma.
"Oh God! Advii!!" Janani launched herself forward, to pick up Advi from the floor, before he hurts himself by the glass pieces.
Janani wasn't wearing her sandals, and the glass piece pierced under her foot, making her wince.
"Fu*ck. Careful Janani" Armaan cursed as he picked up Janani into his arms, who inturn had Advi in her arms.
"Aadesh! Aditya! Mrs Seth! Someone please get me the first aid box" Armaan roared as he walked towards the living room Janani in his arms.
Her legs were bleeding, and Janani winced as it continued to hurt
"Oh God! The glass piece is struck there" Armaan cursed as he placed Janani on the couch.
Aadesh and Aditya rushed towards them, with Mrs Seth following with the first aid box.
"What happened di?" Aditya asked in worry as he sat next to Janani
"Who left Advi alone? He crawled over to the bedroom alone and pushed down the flower vase breaking it" Armaan shouted at the people gathered around there.
Advi hearing his dada shout, burrowed more into his mama's bosom.
Ava who had come running hearing all the noise, stopped on her tracks, looking at her father in fear.
"Armaan. Stop it. You are scaring the kids" Janani said softly and Armaan realised his surroundings.
He was concerned about Janani and he forgot all around him.
"Ava, baby. Come here" Janani called out and Ava moved towards her mother, not before shooting a wary glance towards her father.
Armaan made himself smile, for the children's benefit and he saw Ava relaxing as soon as she saw him smile.
Advi was still burrowed into his mama's bosom.
"I need to baby proof the house. I should have done it earlier. He is going to be even more a demolisher in the coming years" Armaan said softly, looking at his son.
Armaan quickly did the first aid and tied a bandage around her foot.
"You are not moving from here, Janani. If I see you move, there will be no one worse than me" Armaan said warning softly, for the kids' benefit.
Janani pouted
"Aadesh, drop Ava at school. Mrs Seth, please take care of Advi. I am going to take Janani to the bedroom. Let her lie down for a while" Armaan said
Mrs Seth, the nanny, tried to take Advi from his mother, but he protested loudly and clutched tighter onto his mama.
"Let him be with me, Armaan. He is scared after hearing you shout. It will take time for him to settle" Janani said and Armaan nodded.
Armaan picked up Janani and climbed the stairs up to his bedroom on the first floor.
He placed her on the bed.
"The whole universe is plotting against me spending time with you, Janani" Armaan said sulkily making Janani chuckle
"Well, you enjoyed a bit too much before meeting me. So, consider this universe's punishment for not waiting for me" Janani said haughtily.
"Well, Mrs Verma, I am ready for any sort of punishment, as long as I have you by my side." Armaan said and gave a quick peck on her lips.
"Always and forever, Mr Verma" Janani whispered.
