Chapter 90: Chapter 90

Anger Issues

Natasha.

I didn't know any of the Vampires who were standing before us, except the fact that they were related to the Vampire I killed 3 days ago. And Luther looked exactly like him.

"How many years has it been now since you ran away and disappointed Papa?" Luther asked and he raised up his hand to signal the other Vampires around to stand down.

I looked at Dante's managing director, Viktor in confusion.

How was he related to these Vampires. He was human so what could the connection between them be.

And why the hell was he not compelled by Luther and his Vampires like the other humans.

The Vampires on Luther's side all moved back and their wings retracted back in. I sighed in relief although I was confused about why they felt threatened by Viktor.

"I was glad you left, you were already getting on my nerves by being constantly worshipped for what you do," Luther continued, gently tapping his left foot on the ground.

"Then you know how advisable it is to take your Vampires with you and get out of here," Viktor threatened, making me even more confused.

Luther chuckled and he nodded in defeat.

"Consider yourself lucky for today," Luther said, facing Dante.

Again, why the hell did they feel threatened by Viktor?

I have heard of lotions used to hide supernatural scent so maybe he had one of those on.

"But I'll see to it that you pay for laying your hands on a Redwood," Luther hreatened and he turned around to go.

All of a sudden, they Vampires he came with all reached into their pockets and pulled out guns.

"What....what are you doing?" Luther asked them and he looked like he also didn't expect what they were all doing.

"I said, let's go!" He yelled at them, but they all ignored him and in unison, they cocked their guns.

"Get down!" Dante yelled immediately and he pushed me to the ground.

I groaned as a bullet in my arm and I held on to my arm as I crawled to hide a table. The shooting stopped after a while and I crawled out from under the table, rearing my head up a bit only to see all of them pull out another set of guns and began to shoot again.

I flinched back as a bullet hit the floor just near my head, a little spark forming.

A bullet grazed my arm and I groaned as I rolled under the table. I looked up and saw Viktor and Landon.

What the hell were they saying in a situation like this. I couldn't hear them because of the loud shooting noises.

I rolled away again as bullets headed in my direction and the shooting stopped.

As the third round started, I heard a wheezing sound and I looked up to see Viktor zooming around and knocking the Vampires down, as he hit the bullets away.

I slowly stood up, holding on to my arm that had been hit by a bullet. How the hell did he just do all of that?

I extended my wolf claws in my left hand and I winced as I drove my claws into my right arm, using it to pull out the bullet and let it drop to the ground.

The injury slowly began to close up and I watched as Luther walked out of the hall. Immediately, Dante dashed at Viktor and slammed him against the hall.

I have noticed that Dante gets angry so easily and if I've learnt anything from the books I read, it's that it always ends with downfall and defeat.

Landon quickly went to get him off Viktor and Dante pushed him back.

I felt that something was up with Landon and Viktor, but it was none of my business so I pushed the thought away.

"Let's go." Dante walked past me and I quickly picked up my purse, hurrying after him. I expect that the Vampires would take care of all the mess and get rid of evidences about what happened here today.

Wish I had the power of compulsion.

I opened the door of the car amd climbed down. Dante also climbed down from the car and he slammed the door shut.

"Viktor-" I said and he turned around to face me.

"He appeared Human, how did he-"

"He's a Vampire - Werewolf Hybrid. Both scents cancel each other out," Dante replied quickly and he walked into the mansion. He seemed angry and unwilling to even look at me properly right now.

I shrugged and I walked into the building too, closing the door. I noticed that there was blood on his suit at his shoulder.

"You're hurt," I said and quickly went to stand in front of him.

He looked at his right shoulder and nodded before walking past me.

"Wait. Let me help you remove the bullet and get it dressed," I said quickly, but he kept walking and he ignored me.

I clicked my tongue and hissed. He was really stubborn and annoying. Why did he have to be so strong headed.

I was trying to be nice and caring to him, but he kept acting like I was a nobody to him.

I continued walking and hurried up to him again.

"I just offered to help you treat your wound and you surely heard me right?" I asked and I ran to his front, standing in his way.

He glanced up at me with a blank expression before trying to walk past me again.

"Why do you always have to be like this?" I asked and I grabbed him by his left shoulder to stop him.

He stopped walking and he turned around to face me.

"You can't keep behaving like I don't exist to you," I said, ignoring the look of anger in his eyes.

"I can do whatever the hell I want!" He yelled at me and he suddenly grabbed the hand I placed on his shoulder, gripping it tightly.
