Chapter 131: Chapter 131

Self Preservation II
Landon.
I gasped as I watched Rhazien snapped Natasha's neck and dropped her lifeless body to the ground.
I froze in place, staring at Rhazien who looked so satisfied to do that. This was the second person he killed and this time, it was someone I didn't expect.
"Natashaaaa!" Dante screamed and ran towards her. I still didn't know how Natasha was related to them, but I know that she is pretty important to Dante and Nathan.
I still couldn't believe that this was the same man I fell for and I didn't want to think I made a mistake getting close to him.
Dante got enraged as I expected and he charged at Rhazien. Nathan was about to help him, but Luther kicked him.
He staggered into me and the both of us fell to the ground, I groaned and when I looked up, Rhazien's hand was wrapped around Dante's neck, choking him.
Nathan got up quickly so he could help Dante, but Luther confronted him again and pushed him back. I looked at Natasha's body on the floor and saw that she moved.
What?
Her eyes sparked with a blue light for a split second as she got up on her feet. She looked different.
She looked like a Vampire. Was she an Hybrid like Viktor? No one mentioned that to me.
I took back that thought as her palms began to glow in a dark blue color and she fired a blast at Rhazien. The blast flung him away and I gaped in shock.
Did she just do magic? I guess Nathan and Dante also had no idea about this judging by the shocked look on their faces.
"Surprised to see me?" Nathasha asked with a devious smile.
Rhazien got up on his feet and I saw the dark lines on his face move around his face as he gritted his teeth.
"You just won't go to hell that easily, will you?" Rhazien asked and Natasha smirked.
"Trust me, I've been in hell for so long and it's high time send the likes of your grandfather and brother there," she replied.
"You can't do anything to me," Pedro said defiantly and moved forward.
"Oh, I could crush your bones without breaking a sweat," she retorted, staring at Pedro like he meant nothing to her.
She was behaving differently too.
"Maybe you're just confident in the control you have over Rhazien," she added.
"But you haven't met me," she said and then chuckled, "let me rephrase that. You haven't met anything like me."
The Petrova Witch mentioned something like that when Dante asked earlier.
"Pretty cocky huh?" Pedro smiled and shook his head in amusement.
"I think that term is used for unqualified losers like you and guess what...." Natasha smiled suspensefully.
"You're about to loose something else," she smiled and blue rays of light began to dance around her fingers.
"Enough of your weightless threats and parlor tricks," Pedro said, hissing in annoyance.
"You are going to lose the control over Rhazien and I won't need that dagger," Natasha said walking closer gracefully and I saw that her hair was darker and longer.
"I'm more powerful than you can imagine and I just need to snap a finger to turn on Rhazien's humanity and break your control over him," she said and my eyes widened in surprise.
What? She can do that?
"I can and I will," she said as if she read my mind, but I'm pretty sure everyone else here thought the same thing.
"You're bluffing, you can't possibly do that," Pedro said and scoffed.
"You sure about that?" She asked.
"Keep the answer till I prove that I can do it to you," she said and the rays of light around her fingers grew brighter.
"Just....like....this." She snapped her fingers.
I waited for something to happen and I looked at Rhazien expectantly, but nothing happened..
Rhazien smiled a bit and walked forward.
"It didn't work," he said and I frowned. Natasha didn't seem bothered, instead, she was smiling deviously.
"Yeah, I knew," she replied. So, she was really bluffing as Pedro said.
"Of course, it would have worked if it was any other Vampire, but it won't work just like that for someone like you," She explained.
"I did that just to see what would happen when I snap my fingers. And in that second, I saw so many things." Her hands stopped glowing and she walked even closer to Rhazien.
She stopped as she was few inches away from him and she faced Pedro.
"I saw the fear in your eyes. You were so scared that it would work. Scared that you wouldn't be able to pursue all the plans you had for Rhazien again. And that fear was satisfying," Natasha stated.
"And you Luther, you seemed so shocked, yet you were hopeful in that moment. Looks like you never liked Rhazien returning and you don't want to live in his shadow again," she added.
I saw how Pedro ignored his other children and focused all his attention and care on Rhazien in his own twisted way. Luther definitely doesn't like the fact that Rhazien he been found or that he is like this again.
"As for you Rhazien, in that split second, I saw fear in your eyes, even more fear than Pedro had. You're scared that your humanity will flip back on and you're going to face reality. You're scared of all the guilt of what you've done flooding back in. You're scared of how you'll have to face everyone when all this is over," Natasha said.
She was right. I wouldn't want to be restored if it was me too. Just like how I subconsciously didn't want to wake up when Viktor had been taken over. It was all self preservation.
But I don't care. All I want is for him to be back to normal. I know he's doing all this because of his lack of humanity and the control Pedro has over him.
"You're wrong. I'm not scared of anything. I'm not scared of facing anyone," Rhazien retorted.
"But you are. I saw it in your eyes the moment I snapped my fingers. You are afraid of the guilt or how you'll face us, how you'll face Landon!" She said fiercely.
