Apology

Dante.

"I hope you would be mature enough to end whatever grudge you have with his death, and stop causing the people around me to worry," I said quickly, knowing that I had to leave very quickly before this escalates. I turned around and I opened the door of my car so I could leave.

"I didn't say you could leave yet." Minerva's smooth and classy voice suddenly became fierce and I froze in place.

I gulped and put on a confident smile before turning around to face her.

Her eyes had become dark and her face was paler.

"Now that you brought it all back up, I remember how much pain your father caused me and unfortunately, I feel the need to make someone pay for all of that," she said and my hands darted to her fangs that slowly extended.

"You can come out now," I said telepathically to the three of them in the car and they climbed down from the car..

Minerva looked at them and the corners of her lips raised into a smirk. My eyes turned a bright yellow color as I prepared myself to fight her.

Her eyes turned a light shade of red and she was about to attack me, but she froze in place , gasping.

I looked at her chest to see a pointed wooden edge sticking out of it, her guards were also hit and I watched as they all turned grey and fell dead to the ground.

Did she just.....

I looked up and saw Nathan standing by a motorcycle with Killian, holding a stake shooter in hand

"Did you...."

"If you were going to meet a True Vampire, I figured we were going to need some Dragon Blood wood."

I sighed in relief and I rested my palms on my waist. Oh, so he didn't bail on me.

I looked at Minerva's dead body on the floor and smirked. Just like that, she would never be able to make those stupid threats again..

"I think this is the point where you're supposed to thank me for being thoughtful," Nathan said and I rolled my eyes before climbing into my car.

I started the car and slowly reversed before driving back onto the road in the right direction. Nathan and Killian also climbed on the bikes they brought and they drove behind me as we headed back to the estate.

We got back to the pack 20 minutes later and I pulled over in front of the pack mansion.

"You can go now," I said to Lucas and the other two in the car and they climbed down, going back to their respective houses.

"Where did you get the Dragon Blood wood?" I asked Nathan since the tree was very rare to find and a stake used to kill a True Vampire cannot be used to kill another.

"Well when you're getting all worked up about a True Vampire threatening you, I actually had the initiative to find some for when we would need it," Nathan replied with his voice dripping with Sarcasm and I rolled my eyes.

I climbed up to the building and I opened the door, walking in.

As I walked to my room I saw the door of Natasha's room open and I stopped walking immediately, looking there to see Natasha walk out of the room.

She had finally woken up!

She looked around too and as her eyes landed on me, her countenance changed to an annoyed one.

I remembered we had a fight that almost led to separation before she went into slumber, so I couldn't blame her.

I walked closer to her with a smile on my face.

"You're awake-"

She totally ignored me and she faced Nathan.

"Nathan, what happened to me?" She asked him and Nathan glanced at me before looking back at her.

"You didn't break the bond," he replied and she nodded.

"Yeah, I figured." She glanced at me briefly, giving me a stink eye before looking at Nathan again.

"You didn't stab yourself with a Silver Oak dagger, it was a regular silver dagger with a similar hilt.

"How many does was I out? She asked him.

"8 days," Nathan replied, "I have to go now. I'll see you later," he quickly said, running off and leaving me and Natasha alone.

"Natasha, are you okay??" I asked in concern, and she sighed, finally looking at me and crossing her arms over her chest.

"Is your heart completely healed?? Do you still feel pain??" I asked her.

"That depends. Are you talking about the stab from the silver dagger or the emotional dagger?" she asked.

I didn't know what to say.

"Well, I'm perfectly fine for either of them cause even if I stabbed myself with the wrong dagger, the bond is already broken to me," she replied and I sighed in frustration.

"I'm sorry, okay??" It took me so much to say that, but she seemed unaffected.

"Well, you don't sound sorry, and apologizing won't make me forget everything you said," she replied, unfolding her arms.

"I didn't mean any of that, I don't-"

"But you said it so all that must have been in your mind all this while, and you finally found the courage to say it," she interrupted me and I sighed inside to stop myself from showing my annoyance.

"I didn't mean to say any of that, I'm sorry," I said calmly and she slowly unfolded her arms.

She stared at me as if she was thinking of what to say before moving back.

"I need to rest now," she said and I sighed in frustration.

I was about to stop us when the entrance door opened and Landon walked in.

What was he doing here? No, what the hell happened to him??

He looked so rough right now and his face was scarily pale.

I moved closer to him with a raised eyebrow.

"What happened to you Landon," I asked.

"Viktor. It's Viktor." Immediately he said that, his eyes closed and I caught him before he could fall to the ground.
