Chapter 111: Chapter 111

Serum

Landon.

I looked at the chains on my neck and down at the boiling liquid silver, gulping nervously.

I had just one guess about who was responsible for this and I knew I was definitely right.

It had to be Pedro and he was doing to get back at me or lure Viktor.

"Hello!! I know it's you Pedro!! Come out!!" I shouted again, but my voice wasn't heard.

I looked over my shoulder as I sensed a presence and I saw Pedro step in through an open door with a smile.

I gritted my teeth. I knew it was this Bastard.

He intertwined his fingers and took a look at the cauldron beneath me with a devilish grin.

A woman walked in after him and she snapped her fingers. Immediately, I could hear the background sounds and the bubbling sound of the boiling liquid silver.

"Is this because I made Viktor send you out of his house?" I asked, "if so, then you're silly and immature."

Pedro scoffed and he walked over to my front, making it easier for me to see him.

"Don't act dumb. You obviously know the real reason why I brought you're here," Pedro stated with a sly smile.

He wanted to use me as leverage to make Viktor do what he wants and with all the memories I saw and relived in my dream, it would be horrible.

"Viktor is never going to come back to you," I said, glaring at him defiantly, but his confidence didn't waver a bit.

"Maybe Viktor, yeah, but I'm going to get back my grandson, Rhazien and we'll do so many great things together," He retorted and I scoffed.

I was already getting affected by the boiling silver liquid beneath me. The heat was heating up my skin and making my blood boil. I was sweating profusely and tiny bubbles occasionally splashed on me.

"You call war and mass destruction great things??" I asked and Pedro looked amused for a while.

"You sound like you've seen first hand what Rhazien can do," he said, raising his eyebrows, "I guess I might have underestimated the affection that my grandson has for you."

Pedro stretched out his hands and the Witch handed him a syringe filled with a black liquid substance.

I looked at it closely and the image of young Rhazien being stabbed in the neck with a syringe flashed in my head.

It was the same thing they used to manipulate Rhazien's mind.

He glanced up at me and smiled, knowing that I had an idea of what it was before tucking it in his pocket.

"I already called Viktor and he should be on his way now. I guess I'm gonna have to thank you for being present at Viktor's house yesterday," He said with a smirk and I was about to talk back at him, but the Witch snapped her fingers.

"Inaudia."

I felt weaker and weaker every second. The heat of the boiling silver liquid was so much torture on it's own and I was burning up right now. That and the terrible headache I felt at the back of my head.

A part of me was hoping that Viktor would arrive soon to save me, but another part was praying that he would not show up and fall into whatever trap or manipulation Pedro had planned.

"Landon," I heard my voice faintly beneath the silencing spell cast by the Witch and I slowly raised up my head.

It was Viktor. I could slowly begin to hear better and better every second, and I realized that that he was probably siphoning the magic of the silencing spell.

He seemed angry and his eyes darted around the room.

"Viktor-" I muttered softly and looked over my shoulder knowing Pedro and his men were at the other side of the door.

"Viktor, you have to leave, they are going to make you to-"

"I don't care. I'm getting you out of here," he interrupted me and quickly came forward, but the door behind me burst open and Pedro stepped in.

"No, no, not so fast."

"I didn't teach you to be rude. Did you ask for my permission before attempting to release him?" Pedro asked with a frown and his hands behind his back.

"You do not have the right to lay a finger on anyone around me because of issues between us!" Viktor yelled angrily and as much as I was glad to see him here, I was scared that he might not leave his place with his humanity.

He looked at my chains and I knew he was thinking of a way to release me, but Pedro held up a remote control with a red switch.

"Before you try to make any move let me just remind you that with a single flip of this switch will loosen the chains and he will fall into this boiling silver liquid. It will be a miracle if you can find a single bone of his," Pedro said with a wicked smile plastered on his face. .

"What do you want?" Viktor asked and I knew that was exactly what Pedro wanted to hear.

"Easy. I want us to go back to the way we were before. The time when nobody would ever dare to stand up to us," Pedro replied dreamily and I rolled my eyes.

"That's never going to happen. I have my humanity now," Viktor retorted and Pedro nodded, smiling. Well, Pedro came prepared.

"Well, it's not something that can't be fixed with a little something I got earlier." Pedro showed him the syringe and Vikto froze immediately.

He remained like that for a while before Pedro called his attention.

"Take this or your little wolf drops into the cauldron," Pedro threatened boldly and Viktor gulped.

He glanced at me, the cauldron and then at the syringe in Pedro's hand. Was he really thinking about doing it?

Even if he saved me, it would be useless cause when he takes that serum, Pedro could tell him to kill me and he would most likely do it without batting an eye.

"Fine," Viktor said and he stretched out his hands.

"I have more just in case." Pedro smiled and he threw the stringe to Viktor. Viktor took it out if his transparent bag and he attached the needle to it before glancing at me.

"First, you have to let him go," Viktor said and Pedro scoffed.

"You have to take the serum first."

"You know I'm not going to care about him again when I do so I have to know he'll be okay first,' Viktor replied and Pedro thought about it for a while before nodding in agreement.

Pedro faced the Witch, giving her a signal and and her hands began to glow in a bright blue colour, the cauldron beneath me disappearing.

I sighed in relief and Pedro hit the switch in his hand, causing the chains to let go of me and drop me to the ground.

I groaned, grunting as I stood up on my feet.

I walked towards Viktor, but he shook his head in disapproval.

"Go now," he said, holding the needle to his shoulder.

"No, Viktor, don't do-"

"Leave!" He shouted and suddenly stabbed himself with the needle.

I watched as dark lines formed on his face and I knew I couldn't stay here any longer. I immediately zoomed out of the building and didn't stop till I got outside the gate.

Pedro finally got what he wanted, control over Viktor while he's without his humanity and the only thing that would cause was trouble.

I have to find help and the only ones I could think of were Dante and Nathan
