I couldn't stop being surprised. Why will mom buy me a car?. Not just any car but the latest sports car. I groaned. Mom must be up to something. I turned to face her. "I never asked for a car, mom" I whispered

"You should appreciate your gift, young lady. This is the latest Porsche Boxster. You..."

"Mom, I don't want a new car. I told you I am not here to live a luxury life. I am not taking this"

Mom frowned. "You're rejecting your gift?"

I sighed. "Mom, you of all people should understand me. I can't take this car"

"Because of Jayden, huh?"

"Mom, I am not doing this because of Jayden and you know that"

She scoffed. "You just rejected a car worth a..."

"Mom, please don't start. You don't have to tell me the worth of the car. I know. Just try to understand me, please"

She sighed. "What will people say?. My daughter..."

"You should not care about what people say"

"Ok. They don't have to know you rejected the car, I get it"

I smiled. Thank goodness she is giving up so easily. "Thanks, mom. I do appreciate"

She rolled her eyes. "I still don't get...". I raised an eyebrow. "Ok. Just suit yourself"

I chuckled. "Thanks"

She scoffed. "I..."

I placed my hand upon her shoulder. "Can we join the rest, please? It's getting late and you know I am going to school tomorrow"

"Whatever" she mumbled.

We joined the rest. My friends were so happy about the car and I felt so sorry for them. I knew their reaction would be entertaining when they find out I rejected the car. It wasn't like a total rejection though. I can still get the car when I go back to New York. I mean I can get myself a new one or mom get a new one for me.

Dia poked me, smiling. "Are you going to let Jayden know who you are now?" She whispered

I rolled my eyes. "No..."

"And the car?" she asked

"I won't have to use the car?"

"Are you been serious right now?"

I sighed. "I don't have to take the car to school right?. I don't even know if the love he professed is genuine..."

She chuckled. "I knew it. I knew something happened. Did you guys kiss?. Is he a good kisser? Come on tell me already. I am so curious to know"

I groaned. I shouldn't have said those words. I sighed. "We did not..."

"Katie" she called. "Come over here. Bella has something to tell us"

I groaned. "I don't have anything to say to you guys"

Katie walked up to us. "What's the news?"

"Where is Lucy?" Dia asked

Katie pointed. "Over there. I will go get her"

I groaned. I don't have anything to say to them. There is no way I will tell them I and Jayden kissed. Never. If Dia finds out, she will tease me for a long time. I brushed my hair backward. "Katie, there won't be a need for that. I don't have..."

Katie smiled. "I will be right back"

I turned to face Dia. She was happy with the outcome. I frowned. "Why are you doing this"

She folded her arms. "Well, I am tired to see my friend being single for a long time"

"I haven't been single for a long time"

"It's over a year since you broke up with Jake. Isn't a year, long enough?"

I rolled my eyes. I still don't understand why she thinks a year is too long to be single. At least I had peace of mind. "It is not". She glared at me. "Ok, it is. But it's better than experiencing heartbreak every..."

"You aren't making any point here. You have to tell us what happened between you two"

"Nothing happened, ok"

"Not even a kiss?" She asked, her eyes boring into mine

"N-no"

"Ok mine. You guys kissed"

"I said no"

"You're lying. It's written over your face just like the first time you had your first kiss"

I scoffed. "What are you even saying?"

"I am calling Lucy and Katie over here and you are telling us everything that happened"

I frowned. I had thought mom was the only person I had to deal with but with Dia, I am in for it. "You shouldn't be peering into my privacy, you know that"

She ignored me. "Lucy, Katie, come over"

"Mom and her friends are not gone yet," I said hoping she will consider that and let it slide.

"We can tell her we want to have girls' talk. She can go have fun with her friend. You never wanted a party with her friends in the first place"

"I think I do now"

I made to go but she stopped. "Not so fast young lady"

Katie and Lucy walked past me. "You called for me?" Lucy asked

"Bella here has something to tell us. She..."

"I don't have anything to say". They all stared at me and I groaned. "Ok. I will tell you all that happened. Can you all just stop staring at me?"

Dia chuckled. "That's the spirit girl". I rolled my eyes. "Now let's go tell mom..."

I furrowed my brows. "You want to tell my mom?"

She chuckled. "No. Not that. We are just going to tell her we want to have some girls time together"

I sighed. "Ok"

"Can we go now?" Katie asked

I nodded. "Sure"

I could feel so many faces staring at me. I opened my eyes and almost jumped off the bed. "Hey, what's that look for?" I asked, furious. Dia, Katie, and Lucy were staring at me.

Dia shrugged. "Nothing. Can't we decide to admire our friend?"

I rolled my eyes. "You scared the hell out of me. You should have woken me up instead of staring at me that way"

Lucy chuckled. "Sorry"

"Up, up, up. We are going on a ride"

I rolled my eyes. On a ride?. "By this time?. I've got a class to attend"

Dia frowned. "It's just some minutes to six. Your class is by eight right?". I nodded. "We won't take long. I just want to get a ride in your new car. We will be back before you know it"

I chuckled nervously. "T-talking of the new car. I-i rejected it last night"

Dia furrowed her brows. "Y-you did what?"

I sighed. "I-i told mom I won't be needing the car now"

"Are you been serious?" Lucy asked

Katie picked a pillow up and threw it at me. "Y-you don't need a car, huh?"

"Y-you didn't let me take a ride on it before rejecting it, how could you? Huh?" Dia yelled. She was fuming. I knew staying in the room will be disastrous. I stood up. "Where do you think you're going? Huh?"

"I am going nowhere. I just...". Without finishing my words, I ran towards the door.

"Hey!!!. What do you think you're doing"

I smiled at her. "Running for my dear life" I answered and ran out of the room. With a snarling fit of a threatened tiger, Dia lunged after me.

"I will get you!!"

I lurched down the hall knowing fully well that Dia won't run after me for long. When I got down the stairs, I went to the lobby and sat down. I will go back into the room when I am sure, Dia's anger has subsided. I groaned. I should have considered this as one of their reaction when they find out the car is gone. Now I have to sit here for heaven knows how long.

I walked into my office and sat down. The drama that happened between Dia and I crossed my mind and I laughed. I heard the sound of the bell and I wondered who was there. "Who is there?" I asked, adjusting myself into a comfortable position

"It's Nora, Ma'am. You have a gift"

I furrowed my brows. Gift? From who?. "Maybe my dad," I thought. "Come in, Nora"

The door opened and Nora walked in with a bunch of flowers. I furrowed my brows. She placed them on the table. "It came in this morning"

"Who brought it?"

"The delivery man"

I sighed. "Thanks"

After Nora left, I opened the wrap and a paper fell of it. I picked it and opened it. "To the love of my life from a secret admirer," I read out loud

I furrowed my brows. Secret admirer?. That's so strange. Could this be from Jayden?. Maybe he decides to prank me a bit. I smiled. He's a naughty boy. "You are the light that bright " I continued. "The breath that I breathe. You are the reason why I smile". I chuckled. These sound like words from Jayden. I scroll down to the last part. "You want to know who I am, let's meet at the French verandah restaurant by seven pm. I know how much you love different kinds of seafood" I smiled. Jayden knows I love seafood. It has to be Jayden. The door suddenly opened and I had to raise my head. Jayden walked in smiling. "You should knock when you come in," I said smiling.

He chuckled and sat down. "I don't think I need to knock before entering my girlfriend's office right?"

I rolled my eyes. "I haven't said yes, yet"

He ignored my question and stared at the flowers in front of me. "Are these not flowers?"

I nodded. "Sure, they are"

He pointed at the card I was holding. "And that is a note, also?"

I furrowed my brows. Of course. Are they not from him?. Why is he asking such a question?. "Yes"

"Can I see what's written in it?"

I rolled my eyes. He's trying to play pranks on me. He wants to pretend he knows nothing about the flower right?. I will play along with him. "No, it's personal. I..." He drew it off my hand before I could finish my words.

I sighed. "Wow, from a secret admirer". He stared at me, his eyes depicting anger. I batted my lashes. Why is he so angry?. The flower wasn't from him?. "Is he the reason you don't want to accept me?"

I batted my lashes. What is he saying? This is my first time receiving a gift from this so-called admirer. I had thought he was for one who sent it. "N-no. I-i, I-i just got a gift..." He raised his hand and stood up.

"When I entered, I-i had thought you were smiling because you saw me. But now I know why you were smiling"

I stood up. "Jay..."

"Don't call my name. You can have fun with your secret admirer" he said and finally walked out of the office. I brushed my hair backward in frustration. Why is he suddenly showing jealousy?. I groaned. Who is this secret admirer?. Why did he send this?. U sat down and groaned. This is not going to end well.
