Stella Veros
Telling my parents about my dream was quite challenging. My mom knew about it all along while my dad was still clueless about it. My dad didn't agree that I will leave Veros for good and go to Medical school.
We fought.
We had been in a cold war for more than a week now. My dad really opposed the idea. My mom tried to talk to him but it was useless. They ended up fighting too.
"So your parents are still mad about you wanting to go to medical school?" Nat asked
"Yeah, they hate the idea"
"Talk to them again.. you can't have this cold war for weeks" Dean said
"I tried"
"Ask Axel to talk to him" Nat said
"Are you nuts? This is my family matters.. he can't butt in like that"
"You're going to get married to him. He will be a part of your family at some point" Nat said in a 'duh' tone.
Suddenly my phone rang and I took it out of my bag. I smiled widely to see Axel's name on the screen. I walked out from the restaurant to pick the call up.
"Hey babe" He said
"Hey.."
"I miss you" He said and I heard a lot of teasing sounds on the background
"I miss you too.. How's Brazil?"
"Good.. you look beautiful today" He stated and I looked around
"You're back? Don't tell me you're outside" I started to scanned my eyes around me
"I can tell.. I don't need to see you to prove that"
"I thought you're here already!" I hissed
"I'll be home tonight, you miss me that much?" He chuckled
"Of course, you're there for almost 9 days"
"I'm sorry, I'll make it up to you later on"
"I'll love that"
"So how's your parents?"
"Still being cold, they will understand about it in time. Don't worry" I said
"Turn to the right" He stated and I turned my head to the right. My eyes widen. I ran to Axel and hugged him tightly.
"You always like this" I said and he chuckled. He hugged me tightly and kissed the side of my head.
"I miss you so much" I said as I buried my head to his chest inhaling his scent.
"Me too.. So what are you doing here?" He asked and I looked up to him
"Meet up with Nat and Dean"
"Dean?" He hates him.
"Don't be jealous.. he has a girlfriend back in Sydney"
"You still want to hang out with them or you want to go with me?" I raised my eyebrows
"Go with you? Where?" I asked and he smiled
"Come with me.. you need to trust me" He said and I nodded. I walked back into the restaurant to bid my goodbyes to Dean and Nat. I went back to Axel and he lead me to his car.
"Where are we going?" I asked
"Somewhere" He said as he drove out from that road.
"How's your flight?" I asked
"It was okay. Did I tell you that you look beautiful today?" He said and chuckled
"You did" I realized that Axel was heading to a restaurant. I turned to him raising my eyebrows.
"You haven't eat?" I asked and Axel didn't answer me. He parked his car and got out of the car. I got out of the car and looked at him, wanting him to tell me what we were doing here. He held my hand and we walked inside.
We walked into the restaurant and I froze.. I stopped Axel.
"Axel.. I don't want.." I pouted and he held my hand tightly
"Do you trust me?" He asked
"I can talk to them later," I said, begging for him not to go in.
"Stella.. You need to trust me. All I want is for you to trust me" He said and I sighed. He pulled me inside and my parents saw us. I looked down all the time not wanting to see them.
Axel greeted them and hugged them briefly. We both sat across my parents and I really don't want to deal with them right now. We ordered the food first and now it's time for us to talk.
"Ares and Kathy, I love your daughter so much and I want to ask your permission to marry her" My eyes widened when he said that. I turned to him in horror
"Didn't you guys break up?" My mom asked and I cursed under my breath
"We went through a rough patch but I realized that I can't live without her"
"Don't tell me that you're doing this to help her to get into Medical School?" My dad asked him and I looked at my dad disbelief
"I really love your daughter, not because I want to help her. But seeing her not happy taking over Veros.. I want to see her happy by doing something that she loves and she wants to be a doctor. Since Veros doesn't have someone to take over.. I'm willing to take over without taking anything from your company.. as long as this girl is happy" Oh my gosh Axel.. I love you so much.. How can you say that to my parents? Gosh.. Axel.. I want to cry right now.
"I'm willing to do anything even if I have to work 2 times more, I want to make her happy" He said and he looked at me. I can't help but to cry.
"I hate you" I hissed
"Please.. Ares.. Kathy.. She never wanted something this bad, I saw her sadness. It broke my heart so much" Axel said and I held his hand tightly.
"You're willing to take over Veros? Without wanting money from it?"
"I'm willing to do that to make your daughter happy" Axel looked at my parents seriously and I started to tear up.
"I will prove to you that I'm capable of being a doctor. I will try to take over Veros at the same time. I don't want Axel to be in this alone" I said looking at my parents seriously
"You want to be a doctor because Abraham huh?" My mom asked and I nodded
"Dad.. I beg you. I never felt happy in the business world. I might get a good score but I'm not happy. I stressed out a couple of times and almost commit suicide. Axel was the one who prevented me from doing that. You should thank him that I'm still in one piece right now.." I said looking straight into my dad's eyes
"I know it's hard for you to trust me. That's why I am willing to prove that I really love your daughter. I will take over Veros without taking anything from the income. As long as I see Stella happy.. I'm willing to do anything. I know you're not ready to let Veros go or hand it to me just because I'm with your daughter so I'm offering you this. Please let Stella go to medical school" Axel said seriously to my parents
"I let you.." My mom said and I can't help but smiled
"When will you guys get married?" My dad asked
"Next month, before she enter medical school" Axel answered
"Please dad.. Please" My dad sighed and he looked at us both
"I give you my permission for you two to be together but give me more time about Stella going to medical school" My dad said
"I won't make you disappointed, dad. Please.. I will take over Veros too if you want me too. I don't mind but please let me go to medical school" I begged and he sighed
"Give me time.. Stella.. I need to think about it" He looked at me and my mom nodded. I turned to Axel and he smiled. I stood up and pulled him out from the restaurant.
I hugged him and cried in his arms. He laughed caressing my head
"Why are you crying?"
"Why are you doing this? Why are you willing to take over Veros without taking anything?" I cried and he kissed the side of my head
"I love you.. Stella. I'm willing to do anything for you" He hugged me tightly
"I hate you for this"
"If you dad still doesn't agree.. I'll find a way to help you in this again"
"I love you so much.." I cried and he chuckled.
"Why are you crying? So do you hate me or do you love me?" He asked
"I love you so much damn it!"
"That's more like it" He kissed my forehead
I'm so lucky to have you. Gosh Axel.. How can a guy like you even exist in this world?
