Marco Hastington
I parked my car in front of my house and I can't help but excited to surprise Cassie. It's 3 in the morning and I bet she's already asleep.
I went to 3 countries in 2 weeks for meetings here and there with my dad and Chris. It was pretty exhausting and the fact that Cassie can't come with me making me suffer. I miss her to death.
The schedule was that I will go home in days but the meeting ended faster than it scheduled. I landed in New York around 2 in the morning and I asked my man to bring my car to the airport so I can just drive home without waiting for my dad's driver to drop him first and then me and Christian.
I got out of the car and slowly walked inside my house. I walked upstairs towards my room and opened the door slowly. I saw an empty room. Don't tell me that she's sleeping again in her study room.
I walked towards her study room and opened it slowly. I can't help but smile widely to see my wife sleeping on her laptop's keyboard again. The laptop still turned on. Her desk was a mess. I walked inside and walked towards her.
I kissed the side of her head and suddenly she opened her eyes. Her eyes widen
"Hey baby" I smiled and she immediately hugged me. I hugged her tightly and she buried her face to my chest.
"I thought you're going to come home in 2 days" She said
"It's done so I came home straight away. I miss you" I kissed the side of her head
"Have you eat?" She asked, I just love how she always worries about me.
"Yeah, let's go to sleep. You must be tired" I said and she looked to me
"I miss you" She said and buried her face to my chest again. I chuckled and kissed her forehead
"I miss you too, baby. Let's go on a date tomorrow" I said and she rubbed her eyes. I smiled and damn I miss my wife so much. 2 weeks leaving her made me crazy. She has a booksigning event so she can't just leave it and go abroad with me.
"I'm sleepy.." She said and I turned to her laptop. I smileed widely seeing her wallpaper. It was a photo of us where I put her on my shoulders and she pinched my cheek. I shut her laptop and we walked back to our room.
"Tomorrow is Autumn's movie premiere. We have to go." She said when we entered our toom
"Can we not go?" I asked and she turned to me glaring
"We have to go, Marco. We can-"
"Okay okay" I gave a peck on her lips and she walked to the bed. She threw herself and I quickly changed into my PJs. When I walked out from the bathroom, she's already fell asleep.
Suddenly I remembered that she wanted me to build her new bench for her to write beside the pool. I kept forgetting because I was too busy. Let's just make my wife happy, shall we?
I walked to her and wrapped the blanket around her body. I kissed her forehead and walked out of the room. I walked to the pool to the package. I brought them in and started to build it up from scratch.
I remembered how she got bored when she's writing in her study room. We went to buy a bench for her but I never got to build it because I kept going abroad. She never asked me to build it anymore because she knew my work and the tiredness that I felt.
I felt sorry for her. Last time when she started to build something it's a mess. She might be a good fighter, a good shooter but she's not good at building something. I'm glad that I filled that for her.
I started to build the bench slash picnic table kinda thing.. Argh I don't know what it's called. After building it one by one, I brought it out to the pool. I smiled and proud of myself building this bench until 6 in the morning.
"Marco.. Marco!!" I saw Cassie rushed downstairs.
"Hey babe.. morning."
"Why are l- wow.." Her eyes landed on the bench
"Don't tell me that you didn't sleep just to do this."
"I slept for a little bit" I lied because I don't want her to be worry. It's just sleep.. seeing her happy means a lot more to me
"You liar.." She hissed but she was smiling widely looking at it
"Thankyou.." She said in a really happy tone and then she ran to me hugging me real tight
"Welcome" She kissed my cheek
"This is so beautiful.. I even forgot this." She said and I chuckled
"Sorry for taking a long time to build it."
"It's okay" She pulled my hand and forced me to sit down beside her
"Thankyou.." She said and I nodded
"Anything for my wife" I kissed her cheek
"Now, go get some sleep" She leaned her head to my shoulder as she caressed my hand
"I'm good.."
"Marco.." She called and I turned to her. She looked at me and smiled
"What?"
"Yesterday, I went to the mall with Olivia. I saw a cute baby.."
"She's really cute. She has big blue eyes. Beautiful light brown hair and beautiful smile. She's so so adorable.." I smiled secretly hearing it. She loves babies and I know that so well
"Her mom braided her-" I crashed my lips to her and picked her up, making her sit on my lap. I kissed her passionately and she circled her arms on my neck.
"Let's make Hastington Junior babe.." I said and she giggled. I picked her up and we went straight to our room.
