Chapter 32: Chapter 32

I slowly slid down his body till my feet hit the ground. He looked down at me and said, "What made you choose me?"

I look down at my hands and smiled, "Because. I won't be able to live the rest of my life without knowing what it's like to be with you."

Then Noah broke out into a smile. It was one of those rare occasions where you see the beast display emotion. And when he does, you take that moment, and you savor it. So I placed my hand behind his neck and pulled his face down to me. Our lips touched in the intimate way. It wasn't a kiss where lust was involved. It was a kiss where love was involved. It was a symbol. a promise that we will make memories that we will hold dear to our hearts when we part. But let's not think about the later, let's just think about the now because that is all we have left now to be together.

Once we separate, Noah laid his forehead down to my own, "Mia Valentine." He whispered.

I smiled, "Noah Maverick," I whispered back.

LIZZY

As I was waking up I look down and groaned. I'm still pregnant. I want this pup out of me, this instant! I am sick and tired of carrying my little princess around. I am ready for this little girl to come and say done and dusted.

I sit up slightly and look to my mate. He is slowly waking up. Last night would've taken a tole on him. He didn't want to go help Noah, but I convinced him. Carrow was with us to cast a spell so me and Zapora were safe.

When Xander was fully awake he sat up and looked at me and grinned. He leaned in and kissed my head saying, "Good Morning sweetheart." In his raspy morning voice, which to this day still gives me chills.

"Morning." I whispered.

He places his hand on my pregnant belly and rubs small circle, "How's my little girl?"

I groaned, "Ready to come out. Honey, I love her, I really do. But pregnancy has to have an ending, yet I don't see an ending! I feel like I'll pregnant forever!"

He chuckles, "Don't worry Sweetheart. Mia can take a look at you today and tell us when is the earliest date you will be giving birth."

I nodded my head, "That will be good."

He leans in and gives me a peck on the cheek, "Okay, I gotta get ready for work now baby." He was about to get off the bed, till I grabbed a hold of his boxers and pulled him back to me,

"Na ah, baby, Mama needs a little more sugar to get her through the day." Xander chuckles and leans back in. His lips smashes into mine, giving me a passionate kiss on the lips. I felt his tongue move inside mouth. I couldn't help, but moan. We finally parted with both of us breathless,

He looks at me with his brow raised, "Will that get you through the day?"

I shrugg my shoulders, "Maybe half the day. Don't worry. I'll come into the office to get some more."

He winks at me before getting off the bed and going to the bathroom to take a shower, but he leaves the door wide open.

I was thinking of last night. Noah was trying so hard to protect Mia. He cares about her so much. I wish they could be together. I want them to be together. Noah has been so cold and hard for so long that he needs someone like Mia to soften him a bit. And Mia has been alone for so long that she needs someone to love her and protect her. The whole situation breaks my heart.

Xander walked out of the shower in a towel, "Xander?" I asked.

"Hmm?" He was looking through the drawers for his clothes for the day.

"Noah and Mia should be-"

Xander looks over his shoulder and says, "No Izzy. We've talked about this already. Noah and Mia can't be together. If they do it will result in a war. Noah has to marry Sophie."

"But she isn't his mate. He deserves to be with Mia. He deserves to be whole."

"I know he does. I honestly wish they found each other sooner. But that is not the case."

I sighed, "I hate that this is happening to them. I wish they could be happy together."

Xander comes and sits next to me on the bed. He wraps his arms around me and pulls me to his chest, "I know Sweetheart. I wish they could too. But I have to think of you and the pack before anything else. If Noah doesn't get married, that could be the end of the pack. We would have to fight the rogue army as well as Alpha Kendrick's pack. It would be the end of us."

I place my hand on his chest and rub in small circle, "I know. I understand. But it doesn't mean I have to like it."

Xander leans down and kisses my head, "I know sweetheart, I know."

MIA

"Where are you going?" I asked Noah.

"I have to do some Beta duties before anything else, I'm sorry."

I shook my head, "That's okay. I have go check on the Luna anyways and then take care of Kieth."

He nodded his head, "Okay, but after, we can be together." I smiled at him and nodded.

"Well good luck on your Beta duties." He gives me a wink.

Before he leaves though he comes to me and gives me a warm kiss. I smile against his lips. Once we separate, I could see the light in Noah's eyes. "Just remember," he whispers, "No one can know about us. We have to act differently when we are in public."

I nod my head, "In a weird way, it's kind of cool. Secret lovers and all." Noah shook his head and left, but not without me seeing that glint of contentment in his eyes.

I knock on the door of the Luna's bedroom.

"Come in!" I heard from the inside,

When I enter, I was met with the Luna sitting on the bed with tears in her eyes. I rush towards her, "Izzy! What's wrong? Are you okay?"

She shook her head, "I am so sick of being fat. I hate this!"

I sighed in relief before laughing quietly, "Lizzy, you're not fat. You're pregnant, there's a difference.!

"I know. I am just sick of being pregnant."

I nod my head, "I know. I'll do the test and see how far you are to go okay?"

She nodded her head, "Yes please."

After I did some tests on her, I got the results of when she will exactly be in labor, "So you have exactly two weeks from today."

Lizzy groaned, "Goodness, that sounds like a century to me."

I laughed, "Don't worry, just imagine, in less than a month you'll be holding your baby in your arms instead of your belly."

"That is all I picture from now on."

We both end up laughing

After I tended to the Luna I went down stairs only to be met with a half dressed Kieth running away from one of the maids. "Get away from me! I don't want a bath!" He screamed.

I laughed at the stressed out Maid. I touched her shoulder. She turned to me when I said, "Don't worry. I'll take it from here."

She sighed in relief and walked away, but not without me hearing her say, "That little devil boy." I laughed to myself.

I went into the lounge to see Kieth arming himself with a pillow, "I'm sorry it has come to this Mia. But I can't do it. I refuse to have a bath."

"You're going to have a bath Kieth," He was about to say something, but then I said, "But! Not without getting a little bit more dirtier." He tilted his head in question. I laughed and held my hand out.

"Come with me." He put his hand in my own and I walk him outside. It was chilly, but not enough for us to have to bundle up in layers of clothing anymore. We went outside and I led him into the forest. But not deep, I made sure the guards could still see us.

And then we finally stopped at our destination. I looked down and saw Kieth's eyes light up. His smile reached both of his ears from how happy he was. He looked at me as if asking for permission. I laughed and nodded.

He shouted with joy as he lunged into the big blob of mud. I was rolling in and sliding in it, all while he was laughing and shouting.

"Having fun?"

"Come join me Mia!" I shook my head.

"No thank you Kieth. I think I am more comfortable over here."

He crawled out of hte mud and came near me. I stepped back and said, "No! No! kieth no! Don't you dare!" But he did it. He did it. He threw a big blob of mud at my head and is went straight o my face.

I slid it off my face and looked at Kieth. He was silent for a moment, waiting for my reaction. I screamed and lunged into the mud, tackling Kieth into. He started to giggle.

"How dare you! How dare you put mud on my face! How about mud on your face!" I grabbed a whole bunch and rubbed it into his little face. He was giggling and laughing.

"Stop it! Stop it! Mia!" I laughed and giggled.

"Never!" I shouted.

NOAH

I was in my office reading into the rogue problem when one of my guards mind linked me.

Sir, we heard a scream from the woods

Go check it out then.

It was Mia, sir.

I was instantly on my feet. I jumped down the stairs and I sprinted outside. My eyes searched the area, looking for any sign of my mate. But there was none. I heard another scream. I ran harder and followed the noise.

I went into the woods. I could smell her scent, so I followed it. I heard her scream no. My heart was pounding against my chest as I tried to find Mia. But I was dumbfounded when I heard her giggle. What the hell?

I followed it until I was met with the sight of Kieth and Mia totally covered in mud. They were playing and giggling in the mud. I couldn't help, but crouch there in the bush and watch. I know it must have been hard for Mia to know I was once married and that I even have a kid, but she is playing with him and interacting with him as if he was her own. I felt warmth in my chest. It just made me even more amazed at Mia. She was so caring of him. I was curious to know if she was protective of him.

I looked down to the ground and broke a twig. I looked up and saw Mia was fully alert. She took a hold of Kieth's arm and had him slightly behind her. She was searching the area for any sign of danger. I couldn't help, but feel pride towards Mia. She is such a good woman.

"Okay, Kieth, I think it's time to go back." I heard her say.

And with that, I slowly retreated and let them have their own time.
