Noah's POV

I wake up late, my head is aching due to the hangover.

I reach my office in my Mercedes. Going towards my office, none of my employees rush to greet me or try to please me. They know that it doesn't work on me.

I always prefer those employees who are focused on their work. John my manager is the best example.

I reach my floor and I see the sight of the most unprofessional and useless employee ever!

Emma.

" Emma brings a strong coffee in my cabin. " I order.

" Morning sir. Yes sir. " She replies scared.

Why is she scared? Oh fuck, last night!

Emma arrives with my coffee.

" Emma about last night- "

" I don't want to talk about it. Just fulfilled the duty of a mistress, so nothing to talk about. " She replies bitterly.

Who is more bitter today? The coffee or Emma?

" Did you take the pills? " I ask taking a sip of my coffee.

" What pills? " She asks confused and I swear I coughed up bad on that.

" Emma when two people have sex, they can produce a baby. Simple sex education. " I tell her in the simplest of words.

" I slept during that class. " She mutters.

" God, since you have arrived you have proved to be nothing more than a headache. Even Sophia broke up the engagement after you arrived. You're a real pain in the - ugh just go. " I reply extremely annoyed.

Her eyes go wide and she scurries away, though I notice it is a little hard for her to walk. Is she walking with difficulty due to last night?

My mind is not able to focus on work as it is still occupied by Sophia. Hah, she must be with Andrew, she so-called love.

Remembering Sophia leaves this bitterness inside me that I can not get rid of.

I call my PA and make some changes, after that, I am able to focus on my work quite well.

After an hour, Andrew comes running to my office.

" Good Morning Mr. Noah. Can I ask why suddenly your company needs the loan back? " Andrew asks agitated.

" You see we are facing some difficulties, so we need our loan back. " I lie confidently.

" As if. " He scoffs.

" It's about Sophia, isn't it? " He questions.

" You're a smart man. " I comment.

" That I am, or else why would I have Sophia? " He taunts.

" But if you really were, your company wouldn't be in debt. " I reply back with a smirk.

" Noah stop this. Sophia left you because of the same reasons. Because you have issues you do not want to resolve, you're filled with all this hate and bitterness you won't be able to get rid of. There is a reason she left you and it wasn't because she didn't love you. " Andrew tries explaining.

" She didn't love me enough to help me out through these issues. " I comment.

" Because no one can help you. Did you know how many times she came crying to me because of you? I'm thankful she is finally free of the emotional trauma you put her through "

" She was with you while dating me? " I ask furious.

" That is all you picked up from what I just said? " Andrew asks annoyed.

" Sophia has been cheating on me with you! That bitch " I comment.

" Don't fucking say a word about her. " Andrew warns.

" Or what? You gonna beat me little boy. " I taunt, he isn't half the man I am. I've boxed in the ring for 5 years. He is just a child in front of me.

" You know this is exactly the reason no one wants you. You are a selfish man who can only love himself." Andrew bellows, grabbing my collar.

That's it!

I push his hand away and punch him right on the face. He falls back, knocking a vase. Weak!

The vase comes crashing down which creates a noise.

Emma comes rushing in.

" Are you alright sir? " She asks, first thing as she enters, without even noticing a bruised Andrew lying on the floor.

Her eyes then fall on Andrew and a horrified expression can be seen on her face.

" I'm going to beat you to a pulp. " I announce, dangerously moving towards him. I kick him in his guts before he can even get up.

Emma shouts at me to stop. I ignore her.

Andrew gets up on wobbly legs and I am about to punch him but Emma comes in between us. I barely control my hand from hitting Emma.

" Get. Aside. " I seethe.

" Stop, Noah I don't know why you are hitting this man but he isn't worth it. " She tries calming me through her words.

" Emma just gets aside, I might hurt you. " I warn her.

She pays no heed to my warning. In fact, she comes closer and holds my face gently.

" You won't hurt me, there is no reason for you to do so. Now close your eyes and take a deep breath. " I close my eyes and take a deep breath. It doesn't do shit!

" Keep your eyes closed and take deep breaths. " She instructs me.

I do it for 10 seconds then open my eyes. Emma is gone and so is Andrew.

Emma comes back holding a glass of water.

" He went away. " She informs me, handing me the glass of water. I stare at her and then gulp it down. Before she can leave, I hold her hand and stop her.

" Emma, don't ever come in between like that. I could have hurt you. " I warn.

" You say that as if you haven't already Noah. Last night, you did everything to hurt me. I refuse to believe you can hurt me more than that. You made me feel used. " She comments and leaves, making me feel guilty.

Emma's POV

I've reached the conclusion that my boss has some serious issues.

" Emma, I need you to come with me. " He says at lunchtime.

" I was about to get your lunch. " I say.

" I'm going out for lunch, you should come too. " He offers or more like orders. I can't differentiate between the two.

I grab my bag but leave my wallet and follow him. I sit in the passenger seat of his car.

He starts driving.

" Emma, we need to talk about last night. " He starts.

" But I don't want to. Can you at least respect that? " I ask annoyed.

" No, I feel extremely guilty. I shouldn't have acted that way. My engagement got broken with Sophia, I was drunk and I wanted to let my anger out on someone- "

" And I was the perfect person to let your anger out. " I complete. It's sad that people view me as a useless thing they can vent their anger out. I wish there was someone who valued me and loved me truly.

" I didn't mean to say that. I just...I just want to apologize Emma. " He says gently.

" It's not okay Noah. I have feelings too but they wouldn't matter to you so I wouldn't bother explaining them. I'm just waiting for the month to be over with so I can be as far away from you as possible. No wonder Sophia left you, if I were her I'd do that too. " I taunt out of anger and he suddenly hits the brakes.

He looks at me menacingly. His eyes were blood red.
