Shivansh knocked at the door and a few moments later Orni opened it. He gave her a warm smile entering the room and she smiled back.

" Where are your naughty kids?" He asked sitting on the bed.

Orni answered giving him a glass of water," School. Before leaving they have broken my another favourite vase while fighting with each other."

" Goodness! One day I will surely leave them in a WWE ring," Shivansh answered and Orni laughed loudly.

Shivansh joined the laughter when his eyes fell on some papers which were on her bed. Taking the papers in his hands he looked at Orni with emotional eyes and she looked down.

" You were again reading these reports!! How many times have I told you to not read all these?" Shivansh asked standing in front of her.

Orni said controlling her tears," My death is near, bhaiya. Sooner or later I will die."

" No, you won't. Stop talking rubbish. Nothing will happen to you until I am here," Shivansh assured pulling her into a tight hug.

Orni smiled in her brother's embrace and said," Bhaiya, you are the best brother in this whole world. You are the true definition of a gentleman."

Shivansh replied letting out a deep sigh," I wish someone else would have thought like you."

" Don't worry, bhaiya. She will understand one day. I wish she accepts you before my death. I want to see your wedding before I die. I want to dance and have a lot of fun at your wedding," Orni said and Shivansh again scolded her for talking about death.

Then, Orni held Shivansh's hands and requested him with teary eyes," Promise me bhaiya that you will take care of my children after my death. Promise me that you will love them just like you love Neela. I want you to give them your name and your identity. They shouldn't remember about their real father."

" They will have your name only. Do you understand? Nothing will happen to you and you are going nowhere. I will save you anyhow and that's my promise," Shivansh promised and again pulled her into a comforting hug.

Orni closed her eyes and felt safe in her brother's embrace. She clutched Shivansh's shirt tightly remembering VR's face again.

" People call me heartless. Am I really heartless? Orni asked when a few drops of tears escaped her eyes.

Shivansh responded stroking her hair," No, you aren't. You did what was right and he got what he deserved."

" Papa...Mommy.... I am scared....where are they taking me?" Neela questioned her parents who were holding her hands.

A nurse was changing Neela's clothes and preparing her for the surgery. She was scared too much noticing a team of doctors and nurses around her.

Shivansh assured smiling at her," Don't be scared. Doctor uncle will do magic on you to cure your pain."

" Is that so? He is a magician?" Neela asked getting excited and Niyati's eyes started welling up.

Shivansh squeezed her one hand signalling her to not cry in front of Neela. She immediately rubbed her eyes and forced a smile on her face.

Niyati said caressing Neela's cheeks," Yes, he is a magician. I have talked to him already. He promised that after curing you, he will teach you the secrets of magic."

" Yayy......." Neela beamed with excitement when the anesthesiologist gave her a medicine that made her numb and very soon she lost herself in a deep sleep.

Neela was lying on a stretcher and the nurses started taking her towards the operation theatre. Niyati was holding Neela's one hand and Shivansh was holding the other. Both of them were crying silently seeing their baby girl.

" You both have to wait here. You can't enter," One of the nurses told them when they reached in front the operation theatre.

Shivansh left Neela's hand with great difficulty but Niyati was still holding her hand. She wasn't ready to leave her daughter. She even requested the doctor to let her be with Neela in the OT but the doctor refused. He also told that she won't able to handle the scene when Neela's chest will be opened.

Shivansh held Niyati's hand and freed her hands slowly. Niyati looked at Shivansh with teary eyes and he nodded his head in the negative. The moment Neela was taken inside the OT, Niyati broke down into hysterical sobs.

Shivansh held her in his embrace and she kept sobbing. He tried to console her but her tears weren't stopping. She continued soaking Shivansh's shirt with her tears.

" Tears won't help our daughter in the OT. But, our prayers will," Shivansh said rubbing Niyati's back.

Niyati raised her head and looked directly into his eyes. He wiped away her tears and gave her an assuring nod.

Shivansh whispered pulling her towards God's idol," Let's pray for our baby girl."

Hours passed and Neela's surgery was successful. She was shifted into another room and her parents were waiting for her to gain her senses back. They were holding her tiny hands.

Neela opened her eyes slowly and noticed her parents sitting beside her. She started crying badly when she felt pain in her chest as the effect of anaesthesia was vanishing. Niyati and Shivansh both panicked seeing her like that.

Shivansh told Niyati," I will call the doctor."

Niyati begged crying," Please, do something."

" Papa, don't leave me," Neela said when Shivansh took one of her tiny hands in between his huge hands.

Shivansh assured her," I am not going anywhere."

After that, Shivansh called a nurse and she informed that it will hurt for some time. Very soon, Neela will feel better. She assured him that there is no need for doctor right now.

Shivansh said kissing Neela's hand, "I will never leave you. Papa will always be there for her baby girl. Don't you trust Papa?"

Shivansh's eyes grew wider and he looked at Niyati with surprised & questioning eyes when she wrapped her hands around his hands. He looked directly into her eyes and skipped his heartbeat. Her eyes were calm, full of emotions and there was no anger in them.

" We trust you and never leave us again," Niyati said and Shivansh was out of words. He understood the meaning behind her words.

He was still looking at her with a dumbfounded expression when she said smiling," Everyone makes mistakes in life, but that doesn't mean they have to pay for them the rest of their life. Sometimes good people make bad choices, it doesn't mean they are bad. It means they are human. I accepted your apology, Shiv."
