Chapter 51: Chapter 51
Shivansh's pov
I woke up from my sleep feeling a pair of tiny hands roaming all over my head. I felt that the hands were pulling my hair softly.
Opening my eyes a smile formed on my lips seeing that the person is none other than my little doll Neela. She is holding a pillow with great difficulty because It’s bigger than herself!!
" What are you doing, sweety? Why are you holding the pillow? " I asked her curiously.
She replied cutely," Papa, I was trying to put the pillow under your head. I thought the floor was hurting you because you were crying."
Hearing her I become overwhelmed and hugged her tightly. I closed my eyes and automatically tears started flowing down from my eyes. I wasn’t crying because the floor was hard. I was crying remembering my mother's deeds.
" Thanks, love. Thank you so much for your concern," I told her affectionately and kissed her forehead.
Then she informed genuinely," Daddy used to sleep in his painting room a lot. Whenever he fell asleep there mommy used to put pillow under daddy's head."
Hearing her I was hurt. Very very hurt. The smile vanished from my lips and I remained silent. I know whom she was talking about. She was talking about Niyati and Ranvijay.
" Your mommy loves your daddy a lot, hmm?" I asked her out of curiosity though I know that her answer will hurt me a lot.
She replied thinking for some time," Mommy says she loves me. If she loves me then she also loves my Daddy."
Hearing her, I couldn't say anything more. Obviously, Ranvijay loves Niyati and she also loves him. The way he was holding Niyati's hands in the court, the way he was supporting her was clearly indicating how much he loves her.
" Does Niyati love him really?" My subconscious asked and I am still not ready to believe that Niyati loves Ranvijay. My stubborn heart can't believe that Niyati can love someone else other than me.
I remembered that maid's words who told me that Niyati and Ranvijay don't live like a normal couple. But, why? They are married then why they don't live like a normal couple.
" Your Daddy must bring a lot of gifts for your Mommy, right baby?" I asked Neela to get more ideas about Niyati & Ranvijay's relationship.
She replied innocently," Daddy never brought any gift for Mommy. He only brought gifts for me."
" Don't your Daddy give flower to your Mommy?" I asked her frowning my brows and she nodded her head in the negative making me more confused about their relationship.
She has moved on but I couldn't. The more I tried to forget her the more her memories occupied my mind. Even after years, I couldn't forget her.
Author's pov
Shivansh & Satya are sitting at the breakfast table and having their breakfast. They aren't eating actually. Just playing with food because their minds are somewhere else.
Neela is sitting on Shivansh's lap and he is feeding her silently having a gloomy expression.
Yash and Lily didn't come for breakfast and they didn't even bother to talk to Shivansh & Satya. Both of them blamed Shivansh for Lily's miscarriage and demanded to bring back their mother which isn't possible.
Shivansh looked at the chair where Lalita used to sit and felt a sting inside his chest. His eyes started wailing up but somehow he controlled himself.
He was still looking at the chair when Satya said chewing the food," Stop thinking about her and just concentrate on your daughter."
Shivansh became startled by the sudden voice and diverted his gaze at Neela. He sighed remembering Lalita and still can't believe Lalita murdered his birth mother just to be rich.
After some time, Shivansh's mind diverted towards Niyati. He recalled Neela's words and remembered that maid who told him once that Niyati and Ranvijay don't live like a normal couple.
" That mysterious man can't be Ranvijay. He is someone else," Shivansh thought and started joining all the knots from the very first.
He remembered those days when Niyati and he were together. He never doubted Niyati because he never felt anything suspicious about her. He knew about her friends, relatives and everyone. Moreover, Niyati never hid anything from him.
Then, he remembered that day when Lalita & Lily showed him all those videos and photos. He recalled how much desperate was Lalita and Lily to make him believe that Niyati cheated on him. He remembered their facial expressions which were telling him that they aren't sad because he got cheated. Instead, they were pleased understanding that he didn't believe Niyati. At the time, he believed his mother and sister blindly but now he understood how much wrong he was.
" Maybe it was their planning," Shivansh thought mentally and closed his eyes.
He remembered that video and suddenly something clicked inside his head. He remembered the big scar on that man's back which seems familiar to him. The scar was seeming fresh to him at that time and he doesn't know why he felt that he has seen this same scar recently.
" Where I have seen it?" He asked himself and started thinking more deeply.
Suddenly, something clicked inside his head and he remembered about Ankush. He has seen the same scar on Ankush's back when he went to meet him.
Shivansh thought harder and recalled that time when he was on a business trip. He remembered Ankush telling him that he got into an accident and hurt his back severely.
" That means it was Ankush?" Shivansh asked and the spoon fell from his hand.
Satya & Neela looked at Shivansh and found him sitting like a statue having a shocked expression on his face.
Shivansh remembered Niyati's pleading to believe her for once. He remembered how she was denying that she didn't cheat on him. He remembered how she refused to tell that man's identity. How can she tell him? She was unknown about that man herself.
" Ankush!! How could you do this to me and why you did it?" Shivansh asked mentally and got no answer.
He can't question Ankush because he is already dead. He can't even ask him why he betrayed him like that. All of these thoughts were making Shivansh mad.
" What happened?" Satya asked noticing Shivansh's shocked face.
Shivansh mumbled giving Neela on Satya's lap," Only one person can tell me all the truth."
Saying that he left the house leaving behind a dumbfounded Satya.
After some time
Lalita is sitting inside the jail and thinking how she is going to come out. There is no remorse or regret in her instead she is angry. She is angry with Satya and Shivansh. And, she isn't going to let them live happily after sending her into jail.
She is still thinking about ways to come out of jail when a lady constable came and informed her that Shivansh Raichand wants to meet her.
Hearing the lady constable she was happy and thought to act in front of him. If she succeeds in convincing Shivansh then he may help her coming out of jail.
Very soon Shivansh came in front of her and she gave him a warm smile. She opened her arms and ran towards him.
" I knew you will come, Shiv. I knew my son can never doubt me," She told and tried to hug him.
But, before she could hug him, he flinched backwards asked directly, "You framed Niyati, right?"
Hearing his question, she stopped in her track and the smile got vanished from her lips. A hard expression appeared on her face and she looked at him angrily.
" You are still thinking about that slut?" Lalita asked and Shivansh's voice boomed through the whole area like a thunderstorm.
Shivansh screamed at the top of his lungs, "Just shut up!! Shut the fuck up. Just tell me that you framed my flower or not?"
" yes, I did. I framed her," Lalita confessed looking directly into Shivansh's eyes.
Shivansh didn't react hearing her. Instead, he asked with an emotionless voice," Why? Just why?"
" Because that girl was taking you away from me. You were going out of my hand because of her. That girl was the reason that Yash had to go to Jail. That girl was snatching every happiness of my house and that's why I thought to teach her a good lesson," Lalita retorted back making Shivansh completely numb.
Shivansh mumbled having a painful expression," I never imagined that you will do something like that. If you loved me truly then you would have never thought like that. You knew how much I love Niyati and still, you thought to do something like that!!"
Hearing his question Lalita was silent when Shivansh grabbed her shoulder tightly. Angry tears started flowing from his eyes when he looked into Lalita eyes. Looking at her eyes he didn't find any softness or love for him. He only found selfishness in her eyes which hurt him more.
" How could you, Ma? How could you do all this to me? You destroyed my happiness with your own hands. I was your son, right ma? I was your son!! Then how could you?" Shivansh asked crying like a little child and Lalita remained silent.
Then, Shivansh asked with a trembling voice," You could think about Yash but didn't bother to think about my feelings!!! How could you, ma?"
" That girl wasn't right for you. That's why I did all this. I did all this for your betterment," Lalita mumbled and Shivansh's hand loosened automatically.
He didn't say anything to her anymore. He didn't bother to ask her about Ankush. He didn't bother to ask her why Ankush helped her in framing Niyati. He still can't believe his own mother and most trusted friend betrayed him. Niyati was innocent all the time. This one sentence is enough for him to go numb completely.
Coming out of the police station, Shivansh started walking on the street like a hobo. His mind was replaying how he divorced Niyati and humiliated her. He doubted her character and hurt her self respect brutally. Guilt started killing him from inside for doubting his innocent wife.
" What I have done?" He asked himself and fell on his knees.
He started shedding tears silently and lowered his head. The betrayal which his loved one has given him was giving him immense heartache and guiltiness added more pain in his heavy heart.
" I shouldn't have doubted you. I shouldn't," Shivansh repeated these sentences and continued sobbing.
Suddenly, the whole sky clouded with black clouds just like sadness clouded his life. Raindrops started falling from the sky just like his tears were falling from his eyes.
Very soon the whole street emptied and everyone took shelter to save themselves from the heavy rainfall. But, Shivansh couldn't move. He continued sitting under the rain lowering his head.
He isn't blaming Lalita or Ankush for everything. He started blaming himself for not trusting the woman whom he ever loved. He felt like going back in time and telling Niyati that he believes her. He punched himself for being a fool.
" Niyati will never forgive me nor I have that much courage to face her after all this," Shivansh whispered and the rain washed away his tears.
Niyati's p.o.v
" Do something, Mr Soni. I want my daughter anyhow," I told Mr Soni with my desperate voice.
Well, Mr Soni is a lawyer and recently I contacted him regarding Neela's case. I want my daughter back. Without my daughter, I am going crazy.
" I understand your situation, Mrs Mehra. But, I have to study your case more deeply to bring a permanent solution. Don't worry. I will try my best to win this case," He assured me and I just sighed.
After talking to him for some time I cut the call and sat on the nearby couch. I took Neela's photo in my hand and kissed it affectionately.
" I miss you, baby," I mumbled tracing my hand all over the photo.
I know Shivansh will take good care of Neela but the thing is I can't give my daughter to him. I can't live without my daughter. I can't give my only happiness to the person who has hurt my feelings brutally.
But, I am glad about one thing that Shivansh has come to know about his mother's deeds. It was necessary. That woman needed a lifelong lesson. I knew that she was behind my divorce and God has punished her well.
But, I don't know why I felt bad for Shivansh. His gloomy face, those sad eyes, those quivering lips made me disturbed. I shouldn't feel bad about him but still, I couldn't control my emotions. I still care for that man who has murdered my dignity and tagged me as a whore!!!
" What if he comes to know about all the truth and ask for forgiveness?" My subconscious asked me and a humorous chuckle left my mouth.
I replied mentally," Some wounds can never be healed."
People say that time heals our wounds but truth to be told it doesn't. It's just we learn to live with these wounds and heartache. We get used to these wounds.
I am still thinking about all this when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned my head behind and found that it was none other than Ranvijay.
His eyes fell on Neela's photo and I told him shedding tears," Ranvijay, I miss my baby. I want my baby back anyhow."
" Don’t worry. I will bring a permanent solution for this Shivanah Raichand," He assured me and smiled sheepishly which I felt unusual. He never smiled like that.
