"So...how was your night?"Leo asked with a chuckle as he pulled out a chair and sat down while he watched Victor workouts. He hated doing workouts more than anything because he was blessed with a perfect body and Victor was more addicted to working out despite having a killer body which many women drooled over. It was early in the morning and the house was rather quiet and shaken after the happenings of the previous night. The Vivienne saga had left the entire Ellison family bewildered about how the mighty Victor Ellison entered a kitchen and cooked something. Not a surprise but it was just rare because even Alisa didn't get that pleasure
"I heard you sent Jason to look into her...Victor, why is that necessary?"Leo added when he spotted the file lying on the floor just by the dumbbells. He knew everything that went on, especially with Victor. His friend was rather a strange man. He didn't talk that much but he was more of an action man
He just didn't know why he took so long to know about Vivienne's background and now he got what he wanted in a matter of a day
"Where is she from?"Victor suddenly asked as he stopped what he was doing and walked to the table and took a bottle of water. Leo's brows creased as he rose to his feet and walked to get the file. He was aware Victor already read it all but he just hoped his plan worked.his little tigress liked about her age, who knew what Victor would have done if he found out his surrogate was still a teenager.
"No idea...she was raised in an orphanage, "Leo said as he flipped the first page open and yes, it indicated there that Vivienne was raised in an orphanage. It was the bitter truth and he felt bad although the little tigress hated anyone pitying her over the fact that she didn't have a family. She knew nothing about her family background
"I don't this info is necessary to you...in nine months she'll be out of your life," Leo said as he perused through the file knowing the information was accurate although the tiny detail of Vivienne's age was exactly like he instructed Jason
"How long have you known her and how come I didn't?"Victor asked while he drank his water and Leo was stunned by his question that instantly his head lifted to look at the man. There was nothing wrong with his question but the last words had him thinking
Looking at Victor, Leo couldn't believe his friend said he didn't know about Vivienne. It sounded strange why Victor would say such a thing
"A year now...any problem?"Leo said more seriously and averted his eyes from Victor. A pin-drop silence tell in the room that only Victor's movements could be heard as he shifted around and took a towel draping it over his neck
Leo concentrated fully on the info he was reading and every word pained his heart. He hated the fact that the little tigress was all alone. She didn't have anyone to call her own and the thought of it made him sad
"From now on keep your hands to yourself...keep your eyes in check and make sure you don't give me a reason to kill you, "Victor remarked in a deadly tone as he walked to Leo and snatched the file from him. Leo grew alert as he looked at Victor's retreating form wondering what happened to him. Why was he being so possessive over Vivienne even though he wasn't showing it, his words said it all
"Why? she's just a surrogate right...I mean she has every right to be with any man she wants?"Leo suddenly said, stopping Victor in his tracks as he slowly turned around. His expression was cold and something anyone was supposed to fear but Leo stood his ground as he walked to him.
Tension rose in the air that anyone who saw the sight would think the two men weren't friends.
Victor was rather cold as he fully turned to face Leo, he stared at Leo with intense eyes. His gaze was blazing murderously that Leo saw nothing but a vicious beast before him because Victor's face was hot and pinched with resentment. His jaw thrust forward with indignation making his anger known and it was rare to see Victor losing his cool it was surprising that Leo wanted to taste the level of his anger
"Why do I feel like...you don't want me around Vivienne?"Leo remarked more sarcastically as a small smirk tugged at the corners of his lips. Their gaze was unwavering and held in place such that Leo had to think twice for an escape route because he was triggering the beast's anger
"Have you forgotten who you are...don't get me angry"Victor snarled with the authority of a man who was not to be crossed, his voice raised in an octave and his eyes narrowed into slits? Leo felt like laughing knowing Victor was jealous. He didn't know this himself but he was jealous of him
"I only took her out so she could get some fresh air...it's good for the baby and her"Leo said defensively knowing the matter at hand was related to the previous happenings which led to Vivienne getting sick but the implacable expression on Victor's face screamed run or you die
"You are forbidden from taking my Surrogate anywhere...make this your first and last or else...I'll rip you apart" Victor made a low yell, his voice sounded deep and scary that Leo felt his back hair rise. They were nearly the same age but Victor held that imposing aura which made him look intimidating and larger than any man he knew. His breathing grew thinner and ragged although he was trying to control himself and not show any rage boiling within him Leo knew his friend by now
"I see...you should check yourself, bro...you are acting like a jealous husband," Leo said more seriously, looked at Victor for a while, and stormed away leaving Victor in suspense as he stood there narrowing his eyes even more.
There was nothing wrong with what he said, of course, he just wanted to make sure Leo didn't do anything stupid or got his Surrogate emotionally involved and risk the baby's safety hence he shrugged and made his way out of the gym. He didn't sleep the entire night mainly because he spent the night in his Surrogate's room and now he had to go to the office and make work happen.

When I woke up, I felt like I was hit by a bus repeatedly. My body was aching but most importantly I felt refreshed. I felt so wonderful as I stretched in happiness not sure why but everything felt so lovely
I caressed the sheets as I slowly pushed myself up into a sitting position and hugged my body
I looked around and the room was bringing and shifting to the open window with curtains drawn apart. I smiled seeing the sun shining brightly. I looked at myself and I was showing. I reached for my face and massaged my skin and it felt so soft. I felt so fine that all I wanted was to run around the room and twirl as I wanted
I dragged myself off the bed and guessed my room was cleaned. I overslept, however, recalling my troublesome behavior the previous night, I felt ashamed knowing I bothered Victor the entire night.
"Oh dear"I facepalmed myself when I recalled how I asked him to climb a tree at night not just that but I asked him to stay overnight not sure why but I just did it and now
"I should apologize to him," I said as I left my bed, rushed to the bathroom to do my morning routine. I was so troublesome and caused him to sleep hence I wanted to apologize to him and I'm mediately I was done. I put on some shorts with a loose white t-shirt and stormed out of the room
My hair was still wet and falling to my shoulders but I didn't mind. I had to see him before he left for the office
"Hi Tiny...come here boy," I said as soon as I walked out of my room I saw the puppy heading towards Victor's room. It heard me and turned back but like it knew I wanted it. It made a run for it towards its master's room and like a fool, I followed it in a rush
"Come here boy" I coaxed for it to stop but it pushed the door open since it was slightly open and slipped inside. I cursed as a frown appeared on my face. I didn't want to go in knowing the grumpy man would get angry but when I heard something shatter from inside the room and puppy cry in agony, my heart picked up a beat as it raced rapidly and like a fool I rushed to the door and pushed it open and rushed in only to stop when I saw Victor emerging from the bathroom in just a white towel wrapped to his lower part. Water was dripping down his body and for the first time I saw his hair down and was extremely wet
Both of us seemed to have heard the puppy because he rushed out when he saw me. We froze in place and mostly I was stunned as my eyes fixed on him. I wanted to look away but I just couldn't. The puppy had crashed under something and was barking to be freed but the people around seemed frozen in place.
